I think I started with Firefox 9. I've never had a problem, never had to save stuff to a file before updating. But this time he has not brought over all the bookmarks, passwords... As a new first time install without warnings, or instructions. I got the pop up for update of Firefox, so I clicked on the button update now as always for Firefox. It is the only browser I use to import my stuff lost cannot be done. I need to go back to the one I had that worked perfectly. Please I don't have a perfect memory to keep track of website addresses, why I bought a computer. so, I would not. I mean if you're going to wipe the 10 years of things saved you could at least put a warning on the stupid pop-up.

  This could happen if Firefox has reported that it began slowly.

  When you refresh/reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, data form) are automatically imported.
  The current profile folder will be moved to "Old data Firefox" folder on the desktop.
  Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, Pref.) that you have made are lost and must be redone.

  It is possible to retrieve data from the "Old data Firefox" folder on the desktop, but be careful not to copy the files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.
