  What I've done, I downloaded Windows Installer Clean-up and installed, I uninstalled Office Live 1.4 and then once that is done, I have tried to install the Office Live 1.5 update, which is that I had problems with and installed without any more problems. As I mentioned previously, outages I found solutions were below to include servers, but none for Windows 7, Windows Vista and even suggestions. But, I really appreciate your time and efforts.   When you try to download windows updates I continues to be faced with error 80070643 and 800f080d. I have to purchase 2010 Uniblue Registry Booster, which was a difficulty of sugested on one of the forums and it says that my computer has no record of mistakes, however, I get always the same 2 errors when you try to download windows updates. I have 18 updates of which NONE will download, all fail.

  1. run the FixIt in KB 971187 - how to fix the MSI software update registration corruption issues by clicking on the link below:

  2 repeat the update.
  3. If the update fails, proceed to step 4.
  4. download .net Cleanup Utility from the following link:

  5. using the cleaning tool, uninstall .net all framework entries. (You cannot remove the .NET Framework 2.0 on Vista and higher because it is a component of the operating system.)
  6. restart the computer.
  7. download and install .net Framework 3.5 SP1 by clicking on the link below (this will also install .net Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.0 SP2):

  It is quite possible that the software that you used has made changes to your system that cause this problem.  At this point, I can't recommend completely uninstall the software, and then run the System File Checker tool.  Then try the updates again.  Let us know the results.
