  I have the router WRT54G version 2. Finally, I upgraded the version of firmware years before Cisco Linksys bought.

  A recent announcement by the people of Black Hat (treaties in this article of TechSpot) about their intention to publish a validation tool to exploit a vulnerability of DNS rebinding on a great many routers SOHO forced me to check for the latest update of firmware for my router.

  The interesting thing is that my router's Web interface lists the current version of the firmware as 4.30.12, but the latest version of the downloadable firmware that I see listed on the support site is 4.21.1. If this version of the firmware was still considered a beta at the time of the acquisition of Linksys by Cisco - or a 'stable' later firmware version incorporating the same or better fixes for the issues addressed by 4.30.12 that had been produced at that time-so maybe 4.30.12 was ruled out.

  If you read the article of TechSpot and the associated table of preliminary vulnerability, test reports, you'll see that router WRT54G version 2 is not specifically listed. Version 3 of the router is listed as vulnerable, and version 5 of the router is not.

  So, my questions are:

For the price, it's one of the best purchases of equipment I've ever done calculation. And I have done this since the beginning of the 80s when I was using a CP/M system and an Apple / / e.)

  I'll look for news on whether or not this version of the firmware on this particular router is vulnerable to the flaw in DNS rebinding and acts accordingly.

  You have 2 options:

  1. standard mode: recover the entire hard drive: all data will be lost.
  2 expert mode: retrieve only the partition with windows on it: only data from this partition will be lost.

  If you perform a new installation, please use the expert mode and you'll be able to create two partitions. On the first, you need to install OS and the second that allows you to save all your data.

  I'm looking for more information on how to upgrade the RAM for my SATELLITE S3000 - X 4 (120 MB RAM, 14 GB HD I think!). Here's a little history...

  This laptop is about 5 years old, and I'm hoping to speed up a bit. I don't want to buy a new computer because she usually serves my needs.

  I emptied my hard drive files and unwanted programs. And I ran Jv16 Power Tools to clean the registry and minimize starts the process.

  He is old enough. I looked for some info, but unfortunately I n t have not found much. The device can use the 512 MB of RAM, and you can use 2 sticks of memory. I'm not 100% sure but I think you can use the module with tracking number PA3086U - 1. 25 M.

  The unit is not known to me but please check the underside. On most units, you can find coverage of memory.

  For all SCCP firmware version firmware updates versions prior to version 8.3 (3) to Version 9.3 1 or

  later, you must upgrade your firmware of the phone to an intermediate version (8.3 (3) 8.5 (2)), then

  I would just like to know if anyone heard about a future for the X 3000 firmware version that would solve the problems of routing.

  Since the day 1 (a few months ago), I've known routing performance in time with the X 3000. I use this unit only as a router, but it seems to lose track of the routing tables after a few days or a few weeks. • My-Cast widget number postal code

  I could not get the My-Cast widget to accept a zip code from the pkg3.309AAA firmware update. I am currently on PKG3.705AAA who was available yesterday. I completely reset the widgets and even did a reset on the TV. Once the widget downloads, it is said to enter a zip code. If I enter anything less than 5 numbers, and then click OK it responds with an error as expected. But if I get a valid zip code (tried across the country) it does absolutely nothing when I click on OK.

  My-Cast working for someone else? What else can I try?

  Yes same questions here... I have reset my 55ex720 tonight after the update so I hope it is fixed. I will present. I'll test it again. It worked until, after spending 2 updates, I think and then stopped.

• XP does not recognize the DVD after burning them.

  I have a Pioneer DVD - RW DVR - 110 d. When I restart XP and open Windows Explorer recognizes the drive as a DVD one. But for some strange reason, when I insert a prerecorded DVD, Windows Explorer changes the designation of my drive as a CD drive and will not read my drive. It remains this way until I have restart XP. I can burn to DVD, but when it comes to their reading it won't. I thought that maybe there was some kind of hardware/software conflict, but even Mr. finest he could not find the problem. Short of re-installing XP, I don't no what else to do. All the suggestions/help? Thank you.

  David, I found the easiest way. Click on adjust font size (DPI), password or continue right click the desktop click Customize, and then select the default 96 DPI and click on apply and were good. Sorry I forgot that I did set it to 120 DPI.
