KDL-32W65XA scene selection

Hello

I brought the new model of Sony Bravia KDL-32W65XA. I am impressed at the first shot. Perhaps the lack of review, I am facing problem on scene selection option.

I mostly watch videos online using youtube app or connect my laptop with an HDMI cable. I was watching blueray movie recently, and chose option "cinema" in scene select function. Performance was good (image and sound). Unfortunately, stage select mode will change to "Auto" after 20 minutes of time.

I have observed this behavior for watching movies in youtube/PC/receiver (connected via SCART).

I am nervous and under the impression that my TV is defective and think of returning back.

The a side to this problem?

Thanks a lot for the quick response.

Kind regards.

Our system does not recognize the model number you provided, please provide the exact model of your TV (e.g. KDL-32W650A) number. The model number is located on the back of the unit.

How can I edit a movie Menu template? I use a Motion - celebrations and events - model of menu for Christmas related to 6 scene markers. Five scenes are represented by a thumbnail and name on 1 Menu scenes that appears when the button on the main menu page scene selection is reached. However, the scene 6, which has also a sticker and marker corresponding scene, is on another page (Menu 2 scenes) that does not link to the home page (does not appear in the scene selection Menu that has just 5 thumbnails and an arrow to return to the main Menu). In the area of work under the clip monitor Main Menu 1, Menu 1 and Menu 2 of scene scene appear together and by clicking on the thumbnail in the scene 2 menu the link to the clip 6 works except when Preview Disc is played, in which case the Menu 2 scene disappears. The scene marker is correctly linked, it just does not appear in the menus of the finish. The first five items of the Assembly (related to the scene selection menu) are all the video clips, but the 6th clip is a slide show. I read several threads on menus but found no mention that a slide show scene marker is treated differently by a menu template. Is it? The 5 first clips are all in the format AVI - DV with imported project files previously saved in this format, so that they could be related and engraved on a DVD. The slideshow is imported from PSE14 and 6 attached clips have already been burned successfully on disk (without menu) as a try-out. However, I was not satisfied with the resolution, then saved individually at the only other resolution DVD - SD576. Now I'm stuck at getting this sort menu. I operate 10 WIN. Any help will be accepted with gratitude.

Hi, thanks for your response. I can rephrase the question very easily: why I've been so stupid? My problem was that I couldn't see a link in the menu between the Menu scenes 2 template and the main Menu. It turns out that the link was there all the time (a sideway arrow just above the main Menu link) but I thought he was part of the link from the main Menu and never clicked on it. When I burned my project to a disc and played on television, the sideway arrow was a different color and, of course, another link... the link I was looking for. Then, my apologies, problem solved, lesson learned - click on everything you see. Thank you. And I was very happy since the upgrade to 14 before except when it makes me feel stupid, which is frequently.

The best replacement for staging Spotlight is probably the Night Portrait setting.

  • How could I NOT have a scene selection on the main Menu of the DVD?

With the help of PRE 11.  I have a clip only, with no scenes (imported from a VHS).  When I try to make a DVD, it adds a default scene selection in the main menu of the DVD.  Since there is no 'scenes' (at least I think the scenes on a regular DVD), is anyway to remove/delete button on the main menu scene selection?  All the models that I have seen include the scene selection.

In the same vein, I import a few VHS convert to DVD that will have several 'clips' on each of them.  For example, "Christmas 1988', ' holiday of summer 1989", etc.»  What I want to do with those, it is having the "clips" separated as a choice on the main Menu of the DVD, and have still no scene selection.

Is this possible?   Also, I bought a Photoshop/Premiere Elements a few years and a couple of versions ago (because the sale price was the same as Photoshop Elements only).  I just watched the first after installation, didn't really use it, but it seemed to me that there are many more styles DVD.   Can I download other models from Adobe, or is that has come on the DVD there are all?  Is there anyway to make my own, because I don't see just a pattern of single color base type, it's too loud for me.

    Thank you

I still don't know what you're doing. (Are making sure to turn off the option for the program adds automatically the markers of scene?)

I just tested myself and certainly do not create a menu if you do not have menu scene marks.

Can you post a screenshot of your timeline so we can have a look? Make sure that you press on the-key first, so that we see the entire timeline.

  • Problem with the scene selection menu

I have two pages of scene selection menu.  The first page works fine but I have problems with the second page.  The highlite flashes market either on stage or on the main menu or on the arrow to return to the previous page.  So that he can move or do anything, the only way is to click on it when it flashes on.

Is it possible to add buttons so I can have all my selections on 1 page?

Yes. As Ann says you can do in Photoshop. As she points out, carefully study the structure of the layer of one of the Menus library. The small symbols at the beginning of the names of the layers are very important. Also, explore the different layers in the button layer sets. They have too specialized for naming conventions that must be followed and don't forget to turn off the visibility for any layer to highlight (highlight the secondary image button). It will be lit, when your user has access to this button.

Also, is there a limit to how many buttons can have on a Menu by the DVD specifications. IIRC, it's 32 for 4:3 Menus and 16 for 16:9 Menus. Not sure if these exact limits apply to Menus of comics, but we are talking about DVD-video here and not comics.

In addition, when you look at the Menu. PSD in Photoshop, special attention to the order button layer sets. Button #1 will be at the bottom of the Palette layers with button #2 above and so on. He also established the button routing, which is what happens when you press the arrow keys on a remote DVD player.

In, you can edit routing button to do what you want. I think the button routing is only automatic in PrPro. You can check this. Unfortunately, I used PrPro to authoring only rarely and still dependent on the Auto-Play everything but simple DVD-Videos.

    Good luck

As a PS, it might be helpful if you could post a screen-cap, showing your calendar with your display Menu and chapter markers and the visible value Menu.

  • I get about one second from the previous movie when the scene selection in the menu of the DVD

I have PE 12 for mac and have a 21.5 "iMac with 4 GB RAM and 1 TB hard drive.  I asked questions on here before all of a DV footage.

I have a delay of 1 hour, 20 minutes and used markers to scene to go to the cinema in the timeline panel.  There are 11 movies in the video.  Markers are at the beginning of the scene in question.  On some of the later scenes, I get about one second from the previous movie before the start of the current movie.  I did thorough tests 12 EP in order get my imported correctly DV film.  I finally decided to use LifeFlix to get the imported records.  When I was testing the creation of DVD, I have not found this second of the previous film in the current issue of the film.  The problem seems to be that less pronounced during playback on my DVD than VLC Player or Apple's DVD player.  I use DVD Widescreen Dolby Preset for the DVD.  I did a DVD earlier using brands of menu with the result being 11 main menus.  I decided to abandon this approach.  Two DVDs have the same second or so of the previous clip before the current movie.

I tried to stop markers in the DVD to recreate what I had with Pinnacle Studio, but this resulted in a DVD with a 'mistake' at the stage of decision-making case and record a DVD with menus blacks half but for the buttons.  I had added some empty frames between scenes when adding the judgment of brands, such as advised by ATR, but this failed.

I would like to use markers to stop it again, but the problem of the second or last if a clip is more pressing.  The previous screen is sometimes less than a second and has no picture, just sound.

Never had this problem with my old program.

I also had "Unknown error 2131042562" when writing a normal DVD with the project and the checkbox "adjust to the content of the available space." checked.  I also got this when trying to write on a normal DVD - RW disc, to test the DVD for 'Previous film' problem as stated above.

My burner is a USB 3 Litton Blu - ray burner.  It worked without a problem since I bought it.  I also used TDK DVD that I used for a number of years without any problems at all.  Today I wrote a data DVD without any problem.  I also wrote the content of a DVD folder on the disc, after generating an image using disk utility and it worked successfully, I realized the same DVD using the software 'Burn' successfully.

Again, I have never had such problems in the display of the videos on DVD before.

    Your help is very appreciated.

I managed to get a DVD with 5 images of black video between the scenes I wanted.  Video of Black made sure the brands menu worked!  Started it at the beginning of the relevant scenes.  I've never had to do this before in any program.

Add stop markers did not.  Brands menu would go up to a point half a second or a second before the required stage, as have no black video.  I tried all sorts of things to resolve this, even to copy the project using the project archiver and the opening of the copy, but nothing helped.  I don't really know how ATR has managed to get markers to stop working.  I even added 12 frames of black video between frames with markers of the judgment at the beginning of the black video and the marker of the scene at the end.  It did not work.  I have nothing out.  The program seems to create a folder, but there is no error message and no file at the end.  He writes date folder much faster than normal when using markers of the judgment.  Also do not work 12 images of the video I think.

I gave up at stop markers.  The normal use of the menus seems OK.  Other programs like Apple Compressor have this type of menu structure.

Note the use of 5 images of the black video locks marks menu successfully.

  • Edition on DVD after using the movie menu.  Text of scene selection will not update after clicking on the advance button.

I created a movie and used the Menu movie option.  I have 24 scenes.  After having engraved on a DVD the DVD will not update the text or the images listed by backstage after clicking on the button to move to the next series of scenes. However, if you click on the scene it will take you to a scene that should be on a page.   I use first elements 13 Windows 8.1 with 16 GB of RAM.  I tried different a few times and still have the same problem.  Thanks for your suggestions!

I found my problem.  I got the Motion Menu button checked on each marker of the scene.  After that take-off it works perfectly.

  • Selection of automatic scene on 55HX929

I'm trying to understand how Auto scene select jobs. TV always seems to be in general mode when I press on the screen to see what he chose. This is for one with hdmi-1 (tivo through my APR) and also using the tuner (cable). Interesting if I choose the component input (which also has the connected tivo), it you cannot select Auto. Why is this?

I have read the posted people where she will change to the mode of a PC game, but has anyone seen going to the cinema or sport? If so what input are you using and what is connected?

Is there a way I can check my game works properly? What kind of show will get it to go to the movies or sports on auto? I tried various blu ray and shows different on cable (baseball ganes, cartoons,...)

one person on avsforum saw automatic scene select work when he has a colnnected of pc. It turned off to the movies during playback of a dvd with powerdvd, switches from game to game and graphics for photo software software.

If this function works only when it is connected to a PC, it looks like it should be documented. Pretty useless...

  • Using the timeline in direct access to scenes

I use the timeline to build a scene selection menu. This works. I want to make is that at the end of the never chapter he'll be back in the scene selection menu instead of just skip to the next chapter. So that the user has the opportunity to watch the entire timeline or go to the chapter selection and stage shows as they wish.

Create a playlist "chapter" with one chapter for each of the chapters. The button in the scene selection menu goes to a chapter selection, not to the chapter itself. Set the action to end on each chapter of playlist to "return to the last menu." The chapters of the scenario will have NO end action.

If you make a bluray, it will work in CS6, not before.

  • DVD menus - change number of scenes per Page

I work with Premiere Elements 3.0.2.  I'm creating a DVD menu by using the built-in templates and would like to be able to control the number of scenes per page.  For example, the menu that I work with now by default 4 scenes per page.  Could this be changed to display only 2 or 3 scenes per page?

    Thank you!

To do this, you will first want to copy all assets in your library folder chosen in a new folder in the hierarchy of the model of the DVD. Let's just say you want to do this for all of the Menu adventure, in the subfolder Entertainment. Make a new subfolder, say Adventure_Cust, in entertainment. Copy on the assets.

Now go to PS/EPS, and change the scene selection Menu template, to be agreed. Be very careful because the naming conventions MUST match. I would like to remove, say the "stage 4" button Layer Set and button "scene 3" layer together, leaving only two I would replace also the PNG image, to reflect this change. This can be done in PS/PSE, so that you can see that it is a different arrangement. Be sure to match the specifications. of the existing PNG, which are previews of the Edit Menus assets Panel. Organize the two remaining buttons, it is necessary, but make 100% certain that no. buttons overlap, even 1 pixel. The DVD specifications. won't allow any overlap.

Don't forget, you need TO follow the conventions of naming perfectly, or things will never work properly. Also note that, in addition to the button Layer Set naming conventions, you MUST follow the naming convention for the files, i.e. PNG and PSD in Photoshop. Do not deviate. If you are confused, refer to the original assets in the original subfolder. I would take very good notes on doing just that.

Now, choose your model published in the entertainment Menu > Adventure_Cust subfolder.

That should work fine, if you're very, very careful.

NEVER work on the property initially, but ONLY on Copies.

    Good luck

More disappointed to discover my KDL-46HX750, a 3D TV, is not a TV "approved" for 3D games.

    Hello
Welcome to the Forums of Discussion of the user.
    Please change your settings accordingly.

The timing of 1080 p, when applied to the HDMI input, is considered a moment of video and not a PC. This will affect the [Preferences] and [picture & display] settings. To display the contents of the PC, set [Scene Select] [graphic], [wide Mode] [Full] and [display] [full pixel]. ([Display] is configurable only when [Auto display] is set to [Off]

  • Choose the single chapter or chapters - disk space?

    Hi Gang

I use iLife 08 - iDVD 08 and responsible for some older models as well. I have a 95 minutes, (burn single face) piece, which looks nice using the 'professional framework. Currently its a long chapter about 95 minutes long.

I know I can break up the longest play in several chapters of void and put them on the menu, (it is no problem). What worries me is if I have enough disk space, (keep a burn single sided), to include 'Play a whole movie', in addition to including the sup chapters? If its mathematically adding the length of the total room for smaller pieces, no I don't think that will work? It seems, the total length will become prohibitive for a burn single sided. And BTW, all movie clips are exported "referenced files" and not "independent".

By keeping the side burn 'one' (duration: 95 minutes), I think my options are:

Stay with a long piece, or use 'DVD Studio Pro' which would require some time long tutorial...

    Any other ideas?

    Thank you!

Where the 95 minute clip of?

You can add chapter markers to a given interval with iDVD, i.e. at intervals of 5 or 10 minutes to your current project without having to exceed the 95 minute playing time available to you.

1 - Select the movie from the main menu

2 - Select the menu option Advanced ➙ create markers chapter for the film .

3 - Select the time interval for the chapters.

    4. double click the movie button in the main menu to get this submenu:

    5. double click on the scene selection button to get the chapters:

The downside to this is that you can choose a time interval and not a specific point in the movie for the marker.

Otherwise, import the movie into iMovie or some film editing app that you use and add the markers where you want there.

What of the decoder, it makes it work, too?

    Hi Jsm668,

Welcome to the community of Sony.

Remote control of the receiver is not able to control other devices other than the unit itself. However, by connecting the devices compatible BRAVIA Sync, such as a TV or a Blu - ray disc player, using a HDMI cable, you'll be able to control devices with the TV remote control.

The following functions can be used with BRAVIA Sync.

    • Turn off the receiver and the connected devices at the same time that the TV (System Power Off function) (LINK STBY)

    • Enjoying the TV sound from the speakers connected to the receiver (System Audio Control function)

    • Enjoying sound to a compatible TV ARC (Audio Return Channel)

    • Benefiting from an input source to a device immediately (One-Touch Play function)

    • Using the menu of the receiver with the remote control of the TV (easy remote control function)

    • Enjoying the content of a device without turning on the receiver (STBY THRU)

    • Selecting the optimum image quality and its field automatically (Scene Select function)

    NOTE:

Functions such as the voltage, the system Audio control, System - touch play and easy remote control can be used with other devices as those manufactured by Sony that supports the control for HDMI function. However, compatibility with other devices as those manufactured by Sony is not guaranteed
