key of Windows7

OK had to replace the hard drive on my dv6-1378nr and have a windows7 64 bit cd but the service key. on the bottom of my device cannot be read that two key groups are worn so bad, they can't be seen, my Question is have you guys a record number?

Hello

Unfortunately neither HP or Microsoft will have any record of the key on your coa label.

One possibility would be to order a series of HP recovery disks (if you don't have the game that you create yourself) because these steps you will be asked to enter a key - activation is automatic via a certificate embedded in the operating system and the table of license of software on your bios chip.

You can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below.

Order HP recovery disks.

If you have a problem with this link, see if you can order them directly from HP.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

Kind regards

    Hello

You will need to purchase a license/disk/upgrade Windows 7 product key.

Microsoft sells more Windows 7 and you would have to buy from Amazon, etc.

There was a free upgrade offer, but it expired a long time ago:

"The Windows 7 upgrade Option is available through participating PC manufacturers on some PC and Microsoft on any purchase of packaged product Windows Vista. The Windows 7 upgrade Option applies to Windows Vista Home Premium, Business and Ultimate editions. Your upgrade to Windows 7 will be the comparable version: so you will get either Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional (upgrade to Windows Vista Business) or Windows 7 Ultimate, respectively. The Windows 7 upgrade Option program works on June 26, 2009 through January 31, 2010. Some manufacturers may choose to shorten the time of upgrade Option. »

  • Same product key of Windows7 on different computers mobile, CQ56-219WM and CQ60-615DX. Is this true?

I bought two laptops Compaq Presario used, a CQ60-615DX CQ56-219WM.  I used the ProductKey software to get the product key of Windows7 Home Premium for each machine.  The keys for the two machines were the same.  Is this good?  Can I depend on these keys, if I load Windows7 as part of a recovery for each machine?

Paul_Tikkanenanswer is correct, because you can not use the HP OEM SLP keys that you retrieved from the computer to activate Windows under normal conditions. As Paul says, you can use the Windows product key, which is printed on the Microsoft COA affixed to the computer to activate Windows.

However, there is another method that can be used to activate computers using the same HP OEM SLP key. This method requires the recovery of the HP OEM SLP key and HP OEM SLP certificate that was installed at the factory on the computers. The computer BIOS must also contain a table with HP OEM SLIC for the pre-activation works correctly. Please see HP Forum post "How to install Windows 7 without the disc" for more detials.

«1 b) using a locator key, however, is useful only if the product key of Windows 7 was printed on the label affixed to your PC, on the documentation that came with your PC, or sent by e-mail from Microsoft (Microsoft Certificate of authenticity).» Assuming that your computer came among computer makers of big brand... HP, Sony, Dell, Gateway, etc... as do more, it uses an OEM SLP of generic key "massive activation". Try to use this key by itself is not going to work. This OEM SLP key should be used with an OEM SLP certificate and an OEM BIOS with a good table SLIC.

1 c) here's where ABR Beta with Windows 7 Support comes to the rescue. Follow the section 'How to use' ABR for Windows Vista for information and instructions on how to use ABR the steps listed for Vista as well apply to Windows 7. Run the backup 'activation' for 'backup' and record the OEM SLP key and the OEM SLP certificate. Save all of the ABR folder to an external location for later use. This will allow you to preactivate your installation of Windows 7 'clean' on the computer that you pulled the key and the certificate of. »

The answer should be "No, it isn't" like Safe Mode is designed to use only the components of the system designed by Windows.

  • Can windows7 retail key asset OEM Dell disk on the other computer (Dell no)?

Hi, I have a Dell laptop with 32-bit windows7 proffessional preinstalled. In addition, it has sticker OEM key on the back. Windows 7 64 bit to 32 bit

I have windows7 64-bit with the computer acer laptop, but I want to change to 32 bit can it is possible with the same product key?

If you have a retail version of Windows 7, then it is more than likely came with discs both 64-bit and 32-bit. In this case, boot from the 32-bit disk and do a clean install.

If the 64-bit version has been pre-installed, then you need to contact Acer to see if they have a 32-bit recovery disc.

  • Why does my OLD product key for my Windows7 Ultimate keep * appearing?

Details: My laptop was, at the same time, Vista as OS. A professional, IT has put Windows 7 Ultimate on it and found out it wasn't a legitimate copy (after one year). I bought a 64bt Windows7 Ultimate play. (same as an old man) and read some instructions here on the forum and thought I had it all done correctly. I even returned & removed my old windows files on the C drive to clean all traces. At the end of installation, I entered my NEW product key and I received an e-mail confirmation that he had activated my Windows product.  Now, a few days later, I get a message asking me to activate my new operating system, and when I go to system properties, it gives me the same old product key I had prior to installation.  I tried to activate by phone, but I was told that it could not activate at this time according to figures that I provided.  I also received a message says "this product key has been blocked" (old)... But I can't know what I did wrong, or is something (programs) plays well on my OS. So I'm at a stand still. Question: I have transferred all my old files on my external hard drive and have not re * them installed yet.  Would it be possible that there is something in these files that makes my OS back to the former State?   Thank you!!

  • Try to get the key to product upgrade to Windows7 Pro.

Hi, I just bought a new laptop with Windows7 home premium for a job where they use Windows 7 Pro.  I also bought the updated map to "pass from Windows7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Pro".  I've scraped off to expose the PIN and tried to go online to get the product key.  But when I went to www.window7.com/getkey, I have been rerouted to the home page of microsoft for Windows8.  I spent half an hour trying to find where I could enter the PIN and get the product key, but I can't.  Please help me find where I could get this product key for an upgrade.  Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your answer; However, this link sends me to a page that is not available. After another hour or so to excavate the site of microsoft/windows, I came acrosshttps://windows.getmicrosoftkey.com. That took me to the page where I could enter my pin code and it provided me with my product key. I took from this key in and managed to upgrade to Windows7 Pro.
