Key to Windows 7 Starter is no longer visible

Hello

I recently bought an Acer netbook. On the back of the netbook, there is a sticker Windows 7 Starter with the key. The problem is that part of it is no longer visible and I couldn't guess the part. Is it possible to get it back?

Thank you.

  • After trying to install Service Pack 3 on XP Professional, Windows will start is no longer

Windows XP Pro prompted me to install SP3... I agreed and walked away (first check that norton was disabled)... Walkind on next day and noticed that the system has been stuck on the boot screen (before the windows logo)... tried restart and the same thing... I assumed on the previous expierence base installation reboots the machine, so I don't think that it was necessary to monitor the installation... (I installed before SP on this machine, but had to reformat drive due to the virus)... while I sit now im at a loss as to what do then... any advice you could offer would be great!

    THX :)

This thread has some steps you can try, but you will get probably best suggestions of the Windows XP forum.

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistawu/thread/b5638b85-A245-4b76-89D5-a40ff8d9facb

The error they get in the thread is not the same (they get a blue screen), but the steps to solve are similar.

You should look at trying to boot into safe mode, and then try a system restore, Scandisk, Chkdsk and potentially start last good known Configuration.

    I hope this helps.

To activate the recovery procedure, if you can't get to Windows continually type F11 at startup until you get to the recovery screen, or from inside windows click on start > all programs > click on Recovery Manager and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the process.

  • Where can I get Windows 7 Starter?

    Hello

Where can I buy or download a copy with a license key of Windows 7 Starter?  I have an 'upgrade' of Win7 Starter key to Win7 Home Premium...

FYI: I asked recently on the upgrade from my old computer under Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium, with the support of 'Cat' of Microsoft; because I couldn't find an upgrade of Vista Win7 anywhere.  Therefore, I felt that I could buy a Win7 Starter 'upgrade' to Win7 Home Premium.  The support agent does not otherwise as a State nor made the Microsoft Web page, she posted a link for me.

Therefore, it does not work so now I'm stuck with a button 'upgrade' Win7 Home Premium Win7 Starter.  I immediately contacted 'Chat' support still once, and finally, this agent, after a few minutes, said that couldn't be done.

    Any help would be appreciated...

    Ralph

It seems that what you bought was an upgrade Express intended to only upgrade a computer running Starter to Windows 7 Home Premium edition.

Unfortunately, Windows 7 Starter is preloaded on new computers.

Your best option is to return the Windows 7 Starter to Home Premium Upgrade for a refund and buy the good upgrade.

Where can I still get Windows 7?

    Hello

You can use a magnifying glass and a flashlight to see if you can read the numbers of the product key on the label.

Or take a picture of it and expand it on the screen.

    ______________________________________________________________

    Also that, read also:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks and to reinstall the operating system.

They should do this for a fee, if they still have available to them.

    _____________________________________________________________

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

    ____________________________________________________________

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

The methods above resettlement generally do not require allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

    See you soon.

  • My key Windows VistaTM Starter will not work

My laptop was bought after 3 years... and now I'm fighting through activation problems.

When it is freshly installed by my uncle (in fact it has just changed), a technician was there to set up our component; He saw my notebook and asked if he wants me to degrade to XP because Vista is slow... since I'm naïve at this point, I just said yes, not knowing that my uncle made a lot of changes to the laptop.
For about 1 year, I went through different reformat (after degradation 1 time, I asked him to update back); up to 1 times my license key has stopped working. It's a key Windows VistaTM Starter legitimate , I asked some elderly parents w / knowledge to my problem and said it could be that someone stole my key.
I said 'No' because the key is known only to me and to the technician. I don't know if it uses it or what, but I can't activate it.
My laptop does not now, and he's going to need someone to fix soon... but here is some information that might help:
    • I have the media recovery disk, all the stuff for Windows Vista and the LG drive (where you can install display, sound drivers etc..).
    • The laptop model is LG RD405.
I hope someone could help me. PS; the call of my country cost much so I can't take the phone option especially since I have a bit in hearing deficit... and my position is on the Philippines.

  • I need a product key, I lost my Windows Vista Starter pack

I need a product key, I lost my Windows Vista Starter pack with HCL laptop with the product id 89571-OEM-7332204-00608

If you reinstall using the manufacturer's recovery media, you should not have a key for Windows

If you try ot turn on Office applications, you must purchase a license.

Your own product key for Windows is on the COA sticker on the case of the machine - or possibly inside the battery compartment.

  • Windows 7 starter OEM product key

Hi guys, someone out there would be able to give me a windows 7 starter (oem) iso I need, microsoft said that they got rid of all the Please HELP

Windows 7 Starter is not available for free. If it is preinstalled on your computer, look for the COA sticker, which is normally available in the lower part of the Netbook/laptop or in the battery compartment.

If you can't find your product key, you will need to buy a new one.

  • How can I change the product key Windows 7 starter edition

    Hi all

I tried to change the product key on my netbook, because I had to replace the hard drive and I used my recovery disks of the brothers that he has the same exact model. However when I had done restoring the product key is also the same so I wanted to put the original back on.

I used slui methods both properties before, but neither give me a way to change the product key at the moment. When I go to properties it says only: windows is activated without any options to change of key and when I run slui a window appears which says activation succeeded.

Am I missing something? or is it because its Windows 7 starter?

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

  • Product key not working only not for the upgrade from Windows 7 starter to win 10

I have two Asus EEEPCs came with Windows 7 Starter.  The product key is on the bottom of the devices.  And they are completely legible.   4 years ago by ish and over the years the installations of Windows crashed, one of them, I installed Linux, the other, I played a bit with the installation of Android.  Today, I have upgraded to Windows 10 for each of them, wipe the disk and did a full install from USB.  One of them was perfectly, the second installation won't take the period key, the product license.  I even tried to change the characters only TWO that could be incorrect due to friction vs O Q and still nothing.   is there a way to send an image of the product key to Microsoft and someone to tell me what the heck is wrong with it?
