• Chrome and Safari does not connect

  For some reason when I go to chrome it will not load certain websites. Sites that I used to go in a field such as Facebook, YouTube, twitter, Wikipedia etc work but if I tried to go through a google search for images to putlocker or bbc news, for example, then it doesn't let me, and in the lower left of the screen, it just says connection. Just, it isn't really access all Web sites (it does from time to time but stall and take forever to load it all) and says that Safari does not and so I have to force quit. I tried to remove all of the plug-ins and extensions, but that didn't fix it. I also just installed the update and that it did not set or the other. I don't know what to do. Chrome works very well. I'm reluctant to delete my browsing history, because there are things in there I need. Who will fix the problem? I just wanted to see if there was an alternative first. Thanks in advance.

  This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

  Step 1

  The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.

  Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

  While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal.   In order to exclude extensions as a possible culprit in the dysfunction of the dialog, could you try to open Firefox Safe mode? It is a standard diagnostic tool in order to avoid interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

  You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

  • 3-bar menu button > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
  • (menu bar) Help > restart with disabled modules
