keyEvent for a Midlet background

Hello everyone

I'm trying to implement a midlet where I can trigger certain actions based on key events, the application works fine while the midlet is the foreground 'running', but I need to capture key events while the midlet is running on the bottom "I call setDisplay (null) to the midlet on the backgorund.

I searched the forum for such a thing, but the answers were "no, this is not possible", if this is true is it applicable using something else than Java?

Thank you for your help

I solved the problem!

for the record: select the project properties in NetBeans Midlets tab application template, you will need to change the name of the midlet to include the underscore character.

hope someone finds this useful.

  • Moving Eclipse 3.4-> 3.5, two strange issues - lack of generator for java, Midlet-name is missing

I moved to Eclipse 3.5, installed the plugin version 1.1 BB and copied a Blackberry project from the workspce Eclipse 3.4 to 3.5 workspace.

I've added a new project of Blackberry and pointed to the existing project. He seemed to find everything, from the jdp or .project file and installed. But he has been unable to build.  In the process of building I noticed several manufacturers reported as "missing". I created a TEST project and said that she had a 'Builder of Java' the real project does not have.  I add the following xml to the builders section of the .project file code:

    org. Eclipse.JDT.Core.javabuilder

    He then built.

The packaging problem. Now I'm stuck on this packaging error:

Error! 907: descriptor required attribute missing: MIDlet-name

In the Application descriptor page, I chose 'Blackberry Application' so "main Midlet name" is not editable...

Any ideas on why I can't move my project smoothly.

Why the Application descriptor page would not create an appropriate description of MIDlet?

    Solutions!

Problem 1, the missing Java constructor can either be handled by adding the text above in the file .projects, or having somehow incremental builders reference the ".externalToolBuilders" folder that I found them in.

Problem 2 is unique.  To avoid applications with systems operating older running in compatibility mode (the small screen of blue border) on the storms, a file "compatibity.jad" was the project, containing the lines:

    RIM-TouchCompatibilityMode: false
    RIM-TouchCompatibilityMode-UserChangeable: false

The jad file is added to the real Jad through Update.Jad.  However, during the project/file/new blackberry existing project using Eclipse 3.5 upgrade, program CAP locked on the compatibility.jad file and he was looking for the MIDlet-name. I renamed the file compatibility.kad and it solved problem.

I think Rim should resolve the first issue, the question of Java Builder. The second question is kind of unique, but it can drive someone to another crazy one day...

-If you upgrade and if you do not import heritage projects (which points to the.) BlackBerry folder BlackBerry.jdw) Note that the old NET_RIM_BLACKBERRY library is now named "JRE System Library [Blackberry JRE 4.7.0]" for example. So after the upgrade, you will need to remove the NET_RIM_BLACKBERRY and the "Add Library" the correct system library.

  • Having two monitors on Windows 7 - I want to display for the separate background images on each monitor. How can I do this?

I have two monitors.  I'm running on Windows 7.  I would like to be able to display a different image on each desktop screen background.  Is there a way I can achieve this or a program I can download to be able to do this?  If yes what to do or how? If not, why not and how long will there be a way to do this?

You can search for 'tools bi-ecrans' free programs to do it automatically. There is a manual way, but it can be a lot of time and can be difficult to get the results you want according to your configuration.

You try to apply a gradient background?

In Flex 3 in the Application tag:

    backgroundColor = "#666666."
    backgroundGradientColors = "[#333333, #666666]" >

In Flex 4, you must set backgroundColor and apply a skin for the gradient:

    -mySkins / MyAppSkin.mxml.

  • License for images of background of items PS9, forms, stamps, etc.

    Hello

I tried to find the answer to this question of searching through the EULA and Google, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.  The question is, if I create a design that integrates premade work included with the product PSE9 (background images, clipart, etc.), am I allowed to resell this design commercially?

Just to be clear, I don't know of a page that consists only of premade work.  I mean a combination of my own work as well as a part of the work provided in PSE9. For example, my own photos and drawings on a premade background PSE9.  As a general rule I am more likely to design everything myself (it's more fun that way , I just wanted to be clear on what I may or may not do with the work of premade PSE9.)

    Thank you very much

  • Video compression for Web site background images

I am building a Web site and in the hope of having a video game web under a screen on the home page. Example of second file 11 on our model is a file mp4 at 1280 x 720, but this is onlye 340KB. The media encoder using I was able to compress our 15 second clip in format mp4 for a huge 18 megabytes. Clearly I'll put something wrong. I coded using Vimeo. How can I use media encoder to create such a small video file? Thank you.

Found a way to reduce the 18 MB to 3 MB file. I imported the MP4 in Photoshop and then exported to Adobe Media Encoder to "low resolution". I could not find settings comparable in Adobe Media Encoder via the direct interface, so in other words, should it be possible to compress further with this tool. Any ideas/suggestions additional? Thank you.

  • Image for a black background fade

    Hey guys,.

Im trying to fade an image on a black background. I was able to fade the image of a few tutorials, but not quite how I want. I want the image to blend into the black background. I was able to get the image to fade but its fading in bright white. I hope it's a quick one of you there

    Thank you

I know that if I understand exactly what you're trying to do, but if you change it 'mode' to 'screen' to 'normal' and drag the pointer from left - right (or remove the "flip side" and drag right left) I don't know that that's all what you're trying to do.

Another way is to paint 'the edge' with a big brush in the same color as the background.

  • What size my image of background layer should be for the web?

I do a logo design for someone I know and he wants that he placed ontop of a background texture steel. I source on an image of good quality, but despite my diligence in trying to understand how the resolution and the size of the image, I can't seem to grasp what I should do with it. I saw countless videos, but it must be a problem with the ol' brain ' in the head I.

It is likely (at least for now) just for the web. My goal is just get it right so that it looks crisp and clear on the screen.

The image I have is 1024 x 1384 pixel, 72 dpi. Yes 14.2 inches wide by 19.2 inches high.

I have to change this at all? I'll be crop the image, but I'm worried that I will do it's too small and so it should be expanded, and I could meet some blurring.

Should I expand? I heard that this isn't the most ideal thing.

72 dpi is higher than the resolution must be for images of the screen, but is there an advantage to hit? Why couldn't just do 300 dpi for the heck of it?

Do I need to pay attention to the thumbs, or is - this just good guide for when you print something?

I'm honestly just trying to get my head around all of this, so that in the future, I can't spend as much time to know what I have to do. Everything I read and any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe that we have the impression that the image was for the entire background. Being its a banner among the dimensions should be much smaller and therefore can be a picture of lower resolution due to this fact.

With respect to the other dimension, this will depend on your design. For example it will fill the width or height of the screen?

With respect to models, you send a single image to a web browser and the browser itself repeats this image. This is why it is desirable. Your image can be 10 x 10 pixels pixels in the right circumstances. For any detail real chances are she would most likely be around 512 x 512. More this image is the faster it will load, it is that she may have more details. Its up to you to find this balance.

  • Background image for BEEP "certificate".

    Hey there,
IM new to BEEP, I ususally more hiding in the side OBIEE.

Im trying to create a kind of 'certificate' of the report to the PIF, I work to a certain extent, here's what I did:

pull into the "skeleton" of the certificate image as background picture in MS Word, draw the data fields in the locations name, date and Manager BEEP on the certificate etc.. Repetition group is defined for each line, I get a certificate by user - perfect!

    except...

the background image looks fine in Word, when you view the page to 100% in "Page view" but the PDF has aligned the image differently for the location of the fields that draw in Word is not reflected in the PDF file.
I should add that the background image should cover 100% of the page.

Is there an optimal size for an A4 background? I know paper sizes are not measured in pixels, but the generation of PDF using a pre-defined DPI that I can work from? Someone else has probs aligning a background image?
Bit stuck, I thought it would be the easy bit :-)

    Thanks in advance,
    Alastair

    Hello

I just had a quick glance at your model, I guess my default desktop settings are different, so the output was pretty badly misaligned.

However, before I continue, I was wondering if you checked the other two options that I may consider viable options.

    (1) use of stationery pre-printed, it works on printing cheaper volumes, under the commercial name, is cheaper than using your printer toner / cartridge, especially if you are going to have a purple background of page colur!... one of the invoice templates that I created for a client in the past was done on the pre printed stationery all the stuff color was printed on the pages, BEEP only added black text inside.

    (2) the use of Microsoft word art, etc to design the model, i.e. rather than putting this all as a background image you could place the logo and do the rest with mocrosoft word art

    I hope this helps.
