Keypad entry

All,

Is there a simple way to manage the keypad entry similar to most of the HMI/SCADA systems? Click on IE on the control and the small pavement rises?

-Ken

You could do an Xcontrol to do this, it would be a moderate amount of work and then to make a property to allow screen touch or not.  It would be nice if this was provided for free, but I have not found one.  One thing to keep in mind is that you should leave enough space on your touchscreen application since the screen is less accurate than the mouse.  Good luck.

  • Mavericks GUEST on VMWARE fusion 6 Mavericks operating system host

    I want to install the Mavericks as a guest under VMWare fusion test OS / X Server and guest will be a customer.

    Now, my problem is that even if the installation goes very well - when it comes to anything keypad entry works.  I can type, but no characters appear.  Outside of the machine virtual all works well.  The mouse works fine in the virtual machine.  I can even 'free' the mouse using control - so I know the keyboard does something, but I can't type in the virtual machine.  What can I do or check this?

    I don't want to cancel the installation from the beginning and I need the keyboard to the original user of the installation.

    Thank you

    I deleted and did the installation again and I used the keyboard for all navigation across (could whereI) and things seem to work fine now.  Quite strange.

    This defeats client server architecture.

    SQL is a process running on the database server. This process can't (and won't) hack the network on the client computer and cause something being displayed on that Terminal Server/screen customers can read the keypad entry of the client computer, to get it back to the SQL running on the server.

    For output and input, which must be done through the client-based software, requires something like SQL * Plus, or scripts from operating system or GUI interfaces written in Application Express, Java, .NET, etc.

    So, feel free to ask Oracle to change SQL to ask, but it won't happen.

    This is why I suggested that you get an understanding of the difference between SQL, SQL * Plus and other Interfaces. It's basic client server architecture and the security of the network operating system.

    Scanner.nextLine () will return only if you press the Enter key. The reason by comparing the entry ' ' is to check if enter key before entering any other characters.

  • Satellite M60-164, sticking the numeric keypad

    Hello

    I wonder if anyone has experienced any sticky keys on the numeric keypad. I mean only to feel the resistance when you press the keys and they take the time to return to its normal position.
    No.... One looks like it might be food or drink has fallen on the pavement, but it is not the case.

    Thank you

    Nope.
    Given two M60-159 units, keyboard was replaced due to sensitivity of the keyboard problem (some characters are usually missing in the text...), none of the keys to self-retaining noticed on any of four keyboards. Replacement keyboards (revision 01) had a little different twist, but were not much better.
    Also saw two P100-219 units with a similar keyboard, no sticky keys is (keyboard sensitivity OK but not excellent as more old 3000 Toshiba).

    Question (please do not answer, I would really like to know): how is the sensitivity of your keyboard? Leave the characters when the quick entry?
    You may require a guarantee of replacement keyboard for this reason. Or better yet a replacement laptop, if all goes well they're out of M60s and you can get a P100... Personally, I do not change the computers because it takes too long, I just want them to fix the keyboard, but they seem to have given up (I even sent them keyboard replacement for analysis).

  • Cannot use the numeric keypad codes alt with usb keyboard.

    I just bought a bow of Microsoft keyboard for use with my Vista system. As I am a programmer and the keyboard is missing a number pad (which I use frequently for the entry of characters alt-code), I bought a USB keyboard separated (from Targus - model AKP10CA) mainly to enter alt character codes

    To my dismay, the alt codes don't work! I checked the keycodes that sends the keyboard with a keylogger, and they are the correct numeric keypad keys. So my question is why these don't work with my Microsoft Arc keyboard alt key, and what I can do about it?

    Thank you.

    Well, at least we have excluded the keyboard as the problem - I don't really think it was but it was worth checking out.

    I don't know (I don't use keyboard shortcuts), but have you tried turning on the number lock on your keyboard and using the numbers on the different keys on the keyboard that are used instead of a numeric keypad when you don't have available?  I don't mean the numbers at the top (I know that they do not work) but if you set the keyboard for some keys work as a numeric keypad, and then perhaps shortcuts using these buttons by activating the NunLock will work as expected.  Always turning on one off the NumLock sort of defeats, the goal to make shorter (but it can work entirely from the keyboard that was your question).

    I do not think it is possible to get this work because the keyboard and the numeric keypad USB are separate devices and do not speak to one another - can 'see' what is happening on the other device and there is therefore no way to make them work in oncert.  The system does not recognize that the two entries are supposed to actually a single action and I don't know any way to tell the system how to do if it is possible at all (even with a registry change).  I have no idea where to start comiing even upward with a workaround.  I think you just need to live with the fact that you can not use the devices together to issue commands.  Maybe you can change some of the most frequently used shortcuts involving the keypad for a different shortcut, not requiring that the keyboard - shortcuts can be re-scheduled (and if you can not re - schedule a current shortccut you ccan still create a new shortcut using only the keyboard, which performs the same function).

    I'm sorry, there is no real solution to your problem, but it's the way Vista works and we just have to live with it, the better we can.

    Good luck and best wishes!

  • How to DISABLE the keyboard entry Alt + NUMPAD digital ASCII.

    Hello

    The default behavior of Windows 7 (and as far as I know all the previous versions) is to enter the ASCII codes to the ALT keyboard + keypad. For example, Alt + 230 will produce "µ". If NUMLOCK is turned on or not makes no difference. In addition, this applies only to the NUMERIC keypad, not the 'normal' arrows

    This behavior interferes with an app I use (specifically, both the application and Windows seem to react to the keystrokes, which is annoying).

    Does anyone know how to disable this method of entry completely?

    Thank you

    -phil

    I don't think that there is a way, I'm sorry.  AFAIK this is the keyboard itself sends ASCII of Alt and number codes.  http://Twitter.com/graymalkinsblog http://practicalhardware.blogspot.com/

  • Text entry mode and user input validation

    Hey guys, someone tried to implement some sort of validation entry on BB 10?

    According to the literature, we have TextField that can be assigned to one of the variants of TextFieldInputMode: URL, PhoneNumber, NumbersAndPunctuation etc.

    There are no examples of this feature in action in the examples of Cascades source code on GitHub.

    I tried almost all variants of documentation and that you do not notice any changes in the local keypad. It always shows all the characters with special keys for user able to grasp everything that he or she wants. I guess that's what we call 'Default' variant of the keyboard. It's not good for me. At least, I want to be able to transmit a user through the regular expression input and generate an alert if something is wrong with the supplied value. But it would be much better to limit user input to some variants of the keyboard (for ex, keypad only)

    Here is my code:
    TextField {}
    ID: iValue
    hintText: "enter your value.
    inputMode: TextFieldInputMode.URL / / change this to what you want - without changes
    bottomMargin: 50.0
    textStyle {base: SystemDefaults.TextStyles.BodyText}

    layoutProperties: {StackLayoutProperties}
    horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Fill
    }
    }

    Is it possible to show only digital keyboard and, possibly, use a regexp validation of user input at the moment?

    Yes, this guy's it via textChanging() signal and a regular expression.

  • How to force the keypad for PB

    Hello everyone.

    Sorry my first post is a question... I have a little problem with an application that I have written for the PB in WebWorks.

    A button press event called a JS dialog box, and I would like the numeric keypad as a default value.  It seems like it should be simple in HTML5 (as described in http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Web-and-WebWorks-Development/Tip-for-invoking-Numeric-Keypad-... ), but I can't seem to make it work.

    It is possible that my HTML to be ugly and therefore broken, for which I apologise!

    Class of 'event' TD and id of "button2" are defined in the css.  The onclick event is defined in the .js file.  Icon code is written as: -.

    It works fine, but I can't force the keypad - I tried the 'number' and "tel" for the input type.

    Thank you very much for your time.

    Well, the entry code should look like:

    Don't know what you're trying to make it in your code, but you think may be trying to do this:

  • Extraction of numbers, no strings of text entry fields?

    Hello

    I have two input boxes that I can type numbers in.  I would like a third entry check box to show the total of the first two.

    I set up a listener to button on the stage to perform a function that adds together when a key is pressed.

    It comes, he puts just the strings together - it ddoesn can't add them

    So, how can I tell Flash that box1.text and box2.text are numbers?

    Box3.text = box1.text + box2.text is not doing.

    Thanks for your time.

    Shaun

    Hi celebrities music

    You will need to get the string to a number.  Something like:

    var firstNumber:Number = Number (box3.text);

    var secondNumber:Number = Number (box2.text);

    answer: var number = firstNumber + secondNumber;

    Of course, you want to make sure that the text in the text field is actually a number and someone was not able to type in a Word.  The best way to do it is NOT to do the textfield a text entry field.  Instead make a dynamic text field and give it a MouseEvent.CLICK event listener.  When someone clicks on the dynamic text input field, bring up a keyboard that requires them to enter the number in this way.

    I have an application exactly like this one where students had to enter a number in a text field to understand the econ issues.  The workflow has something like:

    1. Click the dynamic text field
    2. Bring up the Enter key digital
    3. When the user clicks on a number on the keypad, text matching using a switch statement
    4. Add numbers to text in a string field, that way someone who, between '1', '3' '8' will get 138 and not 12.
    5. With each press of button, update the dynamic text field to show what the user enters
    6. With the user presses the Enter key, then mount this text field in number and store it in a variable of type number

    Hope that helps.  Let me know if you need help with the code for one of these steps.
