Keys on the keyboard in Tecra A2 typing symbols hurt?

Hello

My apologies for what is probably a stupid question.
I have a Tecra A2 and run XP proffesional.
Suddenly some of the key type different symbols than those indicated on the keys.
Pleeeeze tell me how to reset the default keyboard.

With our thanks, Danny.

Hi mate,

It could be that you have a bad keyboard map. A keyboard map is like a project for your hardware that identfies which tank is displayed when you press a key on your keyboard.
A language that you use so if the symbols on the screen do not correspond to the entrance of your typing, then it could be that a bad keyboard map is defined depending on the keyboard maps.

In this case, you will need to define another language of keyboard.

To change the keyboard mapping, you must proceed as follows:
Click Start-> settings-> Control Panel-> regional and language options-> click the "Languages" tab--> details-> choose your input language that matches your keyboard

Good luck and good weekend

    original title: help by email

You don't mention your e-mail program, but the answer is no. Just to be sure, check the drafts folder and the "sent" folder. You may accidentally saved or sent.

If you are using Windows Mail, whenever you want to type a long email, once you start it, it save in drafts, (file |) Save or Ctrl + S) and continue from there. Every so often, save it again to update what you just typed the recorded message.

  • Satellite A300-15J - keys on the keyboard

    Hello

I got my laptop about a week now. I liked it carefully, the brilliant keyboard did irritate me at first, but... But to my surprise... this morning the left low corner command button was loose... it seems that one of the "connectors" broke up.

Of course, I know what to say, I broke it, and it's probably true, because I type on my computer and so to put pressure on it... BUT, I have a respect for computers, I don't hit my computer and I have typing skills...

I called a local computer company and they said that I need to replace the entire keyboard... because Toshiba will probably not fix it under warranty because they will say I did damage... I had a toshiba A100 for 2 years, the keyboard still works fine...

I wonder if anyone has any suggestions or comments on this topic?

    Thank you very much.

Well... sad story, but the fact is that the key on the keyboard is broken and the keyboard needs to be replaced.
I don't know why it broke... maybe you used really too much pressure while typing... who knows. ?:|

I have two Toshiba laptops different... one is 5 years old and the other is about 2 years old and I never noticed any problem keyboard or buttons...

So in my opinion, you had a bad luck... that's all.

Good luck with your keyboard replacement...

  • Ask about the Pause/break key on the keyboard

    As Saroseus,

I have a program that uses the Pause/break to continue to operate and without it I can not continue to use it for work. The work of the society for us gave keyboards with the Pause/break key, but it is not ergonomic and it's hurting my wrist to use. That is why I bought this keyboard. This is a great keyboard and it works well, but I need this button "Pause". While Microsoft can do you something about it.

    Hello

    Let me ask you;

    • What exactly you're talking about when you say, ' I need this button "Pause"?
    • Is not the Pause/break key in the keyboard you purchased, working?
    • This keyboard does not have a Pause/break key?
    • Do you mean you bought now ergonomic keyboard?
    • The keyboard has Pause and break keys separately?

It might be possible that some newer keyboards may have separate keys for the pause feature and the pause feature. Instead of these two functions are on the same key, the keyboard has a separate PAUSE button of the PAUSE button.

On many keyboards, the key that controls the functions pause and break is usually labeled as the PAUSE button. As a result, many keyboard shortcuts show you "Press a PAUSE button." However, when you only press the BREAK key, the default behavior is to take a break.

This behavior that many people know can cause some confusion on newer keyboards that have separate PAUSE and BREAK keys. For example, the newer laptops may have separate PAUSE and BREAK keys.

    Steps to reproduce the behavior

Follow these steps on a keyboard that has one button PAUSE/ATTN:

    1. Open a command prompt window. To do this, click Start, click run, type cmd.exe, and then click OK.
    2. At the command prompt, type dir, press the ENTER key and immediately press the PAUSE/BREAK key.

Note that the list of files in the directory stops. This behavior indicates that the default behavior of the key is to pause. To see this behavior for a directory that has a short list of files, you must press the PAUSE/BREAK key very quickly after you press the ENTER key.

    3. Press CTRL + PAUSE/BREAK.

Note that the list of files in the directory stops and returns you to the command prompt. This shows that the secondary behavior of the key is to break.

In addition, if you follow these same steps, and if you press the CTRL + Windows Logo + PAUSE/BREAK Keyboard shortcut to open the System Properties dialog box, the dialog box does not appear. This behavior is further proof that the default behavior of the PAUSE/BREAK key is to pause.

If the keyboard does not pause button, you can use the screen keyboard and check.

Open the on-screen keyboard by clicking the Start button , clicking all programs, Accessories, ease of access, and then click on-screen keyboard.

You can see: using the keyboard (OSK) typing on-screen

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • by using the key on the keyboard in forms

    Hi all
I want to create a form like this...
Suppose that a textbox control is there when I run the cursor of the form is on the text box to this moment I want to press the F8 key to the
keyboard to fill the lov with empno, ename from emp table
When I tap on the lov say empno 7369 then it should appear in the text box without pressing the ok button on the lov
and at this time, when I again press F9 on the keyboard then the lov should appear as the opposite of the previous ename, empno
then I Pat that assume the name of scott and it should appear in the text box.

I'm working on forms of oracle 10g...

    How to do this...

Suppose a textbox control is there when I run the cursor of the form is on the text box to this moment there I want to press F8 on the keyboard to complete the lov with empno, ename from emp table

Depends on your current key-mapping. If you use the 'classic' client-server keyboard mapping, then you can use KEY-EXEQRY-trigger to your article (it fires on F8)

When I tap on the lov say empno 7369 then it should appear in the text box without pressing the ok button on the lov

This standard behavior, just set the 'Automatic Selection' property on the 'Yes' to the LoV

and at this time, when I again press F9 on the keyboard then the lov should appear as the opposite of the previous ename, empno

Why again? It is F9 or is it a typing mistake. Lets assume that it's F9. Create a second LoV with different order of the columns and add a KEY-LISTVAL-triggerto your article to which you attach this new LoV using
    SET_ITEM_PROPERTY ('THE_ITEM', LOV_NAME, 'THE_NAME_OF_THE_LOV');

then I Pat that assume the name of scott and it should appear in the text box.

Once again, norm behavior, just the value of the property 'Automatic Selection', 'Yes' to the LoV

  • How to set the pressure necessary for the keys on the keyboard? I adjusted it 2 years when I had my Macbook Air, but I forgot how I did it. In my opinion, only a touch of F has been used.

How to address the need to pressure for keys? I've adjusted it 2 years ago when I got my Macbook, but I forgot how. In my opinion, only a touch of F has been used.

I don't know what you are referring. You can't 'adjust the need to pressure for the keys. The keyboard is what it is. The key must be pressed far enough for electric contact in key switches. The keys are not adjustable in this way.

Key on the keyboard does not work in firefox box when you type in the web site, but it works everywhere else?

Try Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.

A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open the mode without failure of Firefox 4.0 + by pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.

Do not choose anything at the moment, just use 'continue in safe mode.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.

If it's good in Firefox Safe mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.

Can be caused by an add-on to the AVG.

Hi, I dropped my iphone on my laptop (of less than 30cm, I might add) and in some way he hit the right CTRL key and the key on the keyboard is popped! a whole little plastic broke from under the key (the mount under the white key is fine, just the black key is damaged)

I was basically wondering. Is there anywhere you can get replacement keys for this laptop?

Theoretically, you can try to find the defective keyboard, remove the button even CAP and set up on your laptop keyboard.
To be honest I don t think you can buy these caps key as unique pieces.

Check ebay. Maybe you can find defective or used the keyboard for a few euros.

Probably nothing, it's probably a fluke. Try resetting the SMC and the PRAM by iMac Intel SCM and reset the PRAM. If this does not work, try a USB keyboard to test, if it works then your original keyboard has failed and must be replaced.

I wish I could get emoji using the keys on the keyboard, but don't know how.  "Edit" shows the symbols ' ^ command space "than to use.»  What I don't understand is the 'space '.  I assumed that this meant the space bar, but that can't be it.  It makes no sense and it does not work.  So, how do you do that?

It IS the space bar.  Command + control + space evokes the character Viewer, and from there, you can select whatever emoji to use.
