  No, export a photo does not affect the default values for the keyword checkboxes.   The first three include on export, export containing keywords, and export synonyms, always default for new keywords to check.

  98 photos can be hidden in chimneys collapsed.  Make Photo > stacking > expand all stacks.

  Yes. I don't think that it is widely used. It is a bit like a folder name used automatically in iPhoto as an event.

  I feel stupid, but I can't find a mechanism to remove a keyword tag.  Online help indicates that do you in the tags panel, but then do not explain how.

  With the open keyword tags panel, right-click on the label and choose 'delete '.

• PSE8 Organizer - search results for Odd keyword tag

  Question for example of marking in the Organizer 8 elements.

  I have 2 friends Bill and Sandra (keyword tags), they belong to the same sub-group "Friends."

  Now, when I'm looking for PSE8 Organizer Sandra e.g. by check the checkbox for 'Sandra '. Photos much more only Sandra appear the result set. For me this make no sense at all.  BUT on the other hand, if I create a subcategory of "Sandra" and tag the pictuters even with that, then I have no problem. Only pictures of Sandra (as a subcategory) tagged will be present in the result set.

  Since your labeled image "Sandra" is part of a battery, when you search for 'Sandra', PSE 8 shows the full stack. For these photos, where 'Sandra' is not labeled, PSE 8 shows red icon at the top left of the image to indicate no match.  This is also true for games version as well.

  Had your images is not part of the stack, PSE 8 would have shown you only photos marked "Sandra."

  Please let me know if you have any doubts.

• The photo with searchable keywords tagging?

  Why is there no way to tag with keywords searchable photos? I have 37 000 + photos and none of them does not when I'm looking for them.

  I use various applications and sometimes I know I have the perfect picture to post/share/reference in mind and cannot, for the life of me, find it. In addition, some applications will choke when dealing with my scroll so many photos.

  "Faces" is fine, but I cannot find the "perfect willow tree' or"1949 Mercury hotrod"photo, that I took years.

  Please Apple - add a function for 'tag' my own pictures in my photo album so that I can search and find relevant pictures.

  Why nobody has thought of this? I will gladly accept a fee of 1 cent for each used tag and we'll call it square.

• How to view the keyword tags panel?

  I just reinstalled PSE - 14 after that my hard drive is dead and had to be replaced. Now, I'm negotiating the PSE-14 Organizer so that it looks the way I had it before. For the life of me, I can't find a way to display tags keyword on the right side. I have read the help file and it talks about how to use the tags, but not to display them. I'm sure that it's simple, but I just can't understand.

  I'm not sure I understand your question, but the tags are applied by automatic Analyzer. If you don't want to continue to add tags to the new images, go to the preferences of the Organizer > media analysis and turn it off.

I did not see examples or have the time to test, but you can certainly try to put meta tags in this facet.

  Update: all of the examples I can find show how to inject javascript into the metacontainer, but it should give you an idea how to tags.   I could attach a photo to a 'People' tag in PSE7, but the tag is different in PES 11 v. Can anyone help?

  Yes. Individual tags will not appear in the Panel groups for 'people '.

  To see these individual tags, you must double-click the stack of the person concerned (a battery is present for each individual tag) and see its media. It's 'People' view.

  In the media view, you can search for person tag say 'ABC' by clicking on the chevron that appears when you hover over the 'ABC' of mouse tag in the right panel.

  Hi, I would spend using elements to use Lightroom. While I realize that I can import my catalog and photos, which should also create all my keywords, I fear that the structure of parent/child of existing keywords/tags would be lost? They would be created as a single list contiguous?

  Can anyone confirm this is the case, and if so, someone knows how to move the tags through all retaining the original structure AND remains associated with correct pictures?

  I moved to Lightroom elements last year.

  The structure of the catalog has remained exactly the same.

  Simply use the menu option in LR to import your catalog of items converted him.  It is in the file menu somewhere.
