• Generate your asynchronous brief

  I develop a behavioral job on a Windows PC using LabVIEW.  I am the human reaction time measurement and am willing to live with "Uncertain times" windows (is there nothing else running on this PC, which is not connected to the network, while I run this task).

  As part of the task, I want to play a sound in short (typically 500 msec) using a small (200 Hz), medium (300 Hz), or high (500 Hz) tone.  I modified the example Generate Sound in LabVIEW (8.6) to do.  However, while the tone is played, the sub - VI in which it is incorporated is 'blocked' (shake the ability to do what did the user of the time, that is done he press the right key and when?).

  Is there a way to pre-computes a sound (say 500 msec of a sinusoid 500 Hz, 5000 Hz sampling frequency = 2500 points), transmit a 'her' reader and come immediately?  The sound then play asynchronously, finishing when TI 'obtained at the end"of the waveform and the basic logic of the program would not"blocked ".

  Moreover, since my VI 'beep' works (even if she "" temporarily blocks me), is there a way to call asynchronously?  Most of my program is ongoing execution as a State Machine in line waiting, with a State as, for example, 'Success' (entrance when the subject "does just").  What I do in this State is to generate a message of 'reward' ('Good Job'), reproduce a "reward" and the transition to the next State.  I don't want to "stick around" in this state until the tone with a happy ending, hence the need to play asynchronously.  [Hmm - server of VI?  [Amazing how ideas pop into your head when you try to explain to someone else what it is you are trying to do...].

  I'll try the idea of VI server that just happened to me.  Other good suggestions greatly appreciated.

  Yep, VI server does the trick!  Of course, you must call using a node to invoke VI, which is not (easily) you can pass arguments to a façade, but since I just need three tones, I wrote 'your' three screws (instead of one with controls for setting the tone).  To speed things up, in the State of the initialization, I'll find the RefNums in my tone three screws and record in the shift registers, so I only need to wire the RefNum suitable for a node to invoke and use the Run method to play asynchronously beeper.

• Many Apps does not show in the list of installation of the creative cloud

  There are a lot of apps that are not displayed in the list of installation creative cloud. I downloaded and installed all the large ones (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, PremierePro, etc...) and they work very well so far. However, I don't see Adobe Encore, Adobe Kuler, Adobe Story, Bright Ideas and maybe another 1 or 2.

  Why is this? I have all of the minimum requirements.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Kuler is not a program, just an online service accessible through the panels in the program or the Web site. Similarly, the story is an online tool. Still is declared dead. The last version was CS6, which you can access by downloading the first Pro CS6 via the web site of your creative cloud.

• Disk Management screen 'Letters to lead change' grayed out for 2nd hard drive (IDE)

  BIOS and Device Manager see and correctly identify the Western Digital 120 GB IDE hard drive that I installed as internal hard drive (with jumper put Slave) to my new desktop.  Disk Management screen sees the drive, but it does not have a drive letter or volume: the central panel of this form, in the lower part, identifies it as disk 0, Basic, 111,79 GB and the brand as "Healthy (active, primary Partition).  Even when I right click on it, the context menu is all gray with the exception of "Delete the Volume" and "Help".  So I can't add a drive letter, and so I can't see the files on that disk.  It was my main drive under Win XP SP3 and has a LOT of files I want to copy on my new computer.  But my old computer is not bootable (except in Safe Mode, where I can see the files).
  New office (bought this week) using Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP1, completely up-to-date with the Windows updates.  No applications or other materials have been added.  Boot disk is SATA.

  Of course, Vista does not see the volume.  He sees a hard disk, but does not recognize the data in this regard.  At this point, I would say are you will have to either return to the old computer and start in Safe Mode with network and try to copy the data over the network to the new computer, or copy data to a flash drive, external hard drive or DVD, or put the drive in an external enclosure that has either a USB or Firewire interface , so you can plug it into the computer as an external drive.  There is still no guarantee, however, that Vista will be able to read the data on the same drive in an external enclosure.

  You could search the net for third-party disk utility for which will work for the IDE drive brand, you have.  There are some on the market that can do amazing things with disks that have problems.

  I wanted to share my experience when I called microsoft. I'm about to return the product, but I want to give it a good try and see if my problems can be fixed. But when I called microsoft, I started wondering why I would never pay $ 200 for it.

  The gentleman, God bless his heart, was a jerk, ha. He was the web looking for a debugging tool when you use the control office and was clicking ads stating "FREE!" Windows debugging tool! 100% FREE! "I immediately grabbed the mouse and close it on him, he didn't like it.

  I've also copied all my mini-decharges to my office for him, so he' have access to them, and he couldn't understand why the notebook showed strange characters, I had to ask him to debugging tool that I had already installed microsoft.

  His idea of troubleshooting was waiting for the blue screen comes up, I had to inform him if it were to happen while it was connected to my pc, sharing the process of the Office would be to stop and he wouldn't be able to see again. He said he could not understand this, he' to be able to see it pop up, I continued to explain that the bsod is a system shutdown, and at the moment it happens, no other system processes are made except a script asking for training of the memory image, then restart command. HE STILL did not understand.

  He went further to disable the system hardware, including my network controller, and then couldn't understand why he couldn't see my office.

  That's all what actually happened and I am amazed by the latter. absolutely in stunned. Beyond that, he basically clicked randomly around an hour, check things again and again, and repeatedly says things like: "ok, I'm clicking on the start now button you see who? "I opened Device Manager now, see who?" so that it sounds like it was actually somewhere with him.

  If you have read so far, I' to really appriciate any advice on what to do here, I just can't get the bsod happen while Runnin' the system mode of Auditor, however in regular use, there are on average twice a day. My other post I linked goes into details, i' to appreciate all the advice. Maybe I should go back to my long live the Penguin sing: P

  The person suggested how to disable the devices in an attempt to try to identify the problem.  I understand your comments, but it's a very valid troubleshooting technique.  Have you tried to run with some of these items off to see if your problem still happens?

  As you mentioned in the other thread, your CPU is Overclocked (2.8 GHz clocked @ 3, 5 GHz).  I mentioned that I suspect that you do not have a stable overclock, or that there is a pilot who is damaging the memory.  You have run across a few steps in this other thread attempts to refine the pilot.  Unfortunately, you won't find anything.  This leaves the overclock as the next thing obvious to look at.

  You should try to run with the auditor and at stock clock speeds to see if you still have this problem.

  If you can provide me with the file number, I can try to keep up with technology directly to share with him one of these comments.

  Hi people,

  CC new white screen. Funny thing: I receive a notice that there are 8 updates and should start the app Manager cloud cc. But I can't start and download the app without c Manager. I'm in a circulus vitiosus.

  I did all the things posted here and there, am working hours and trying to solve this problem, delete several records, tried to re - install the app and nothing happends.

  Any other ideas? Money-back guarantee? Corel?

• Change my Kuler user name

  I have changed my username in my Adobe but the old name still appears in the Kuler themes.

  And when I tried to post in this forum, I was asked for a user name before as I could. When I typed in my user name ("dappledandy"), he said that it was already taken (duh - by me!) so I had to add an extension number. Very annoying and don't know why they ask for a user name when I already put it in my profile.

  Any ideas?

• Problem with connection Kuler Desktop

  When I tried to type the '@' character in my ID Adobe kuler just quit unexpectedly. I think it's because on my keyboard the @ is typed with the Alt right and Q and it is also the shortcut to quit smoking for kuler. Ideas for a workaround? Is it possible to change the Adobe ID to something without the @?

  Maybe try to type your e-mail address into another application, copy and paste?

• Kuler Quicktime error?  Help please.

  I'm a designer die to try Kuler but cannot start. When I run the ap web I just get a question mark (?) inside a Quicktime icon. I have 7 QT Pro loaded and Flash 9.0.28 but can't Kuler to open in Safari on a powerbook G4 OS 10.4 running. Any ideas anyone? Just found out Adobe Labs and it looks great. Thank you.

  You must go into your QT preferences and under the "Advanced" tab and disable the "enable Flash". When I did it still did not work, however...

  To make sure it is off click MIME settings and under various file formats make sure that Flash is disabled. It worked and I couldn't use kuler in Safari.

  I know that this has been suggested before, but it should be noted how incredibly useful this function would be.
  
  Many times, we designers have a unique colour (or more) chosen, or even more regularly, a logo of company, scheme or palette we work out of.
  
  At present, kuler is wonderful for the discovery, navigation, etc. But, if I could take the logo #0376ab that was made for me by my distraught customer or boss of Bucephalus and instantly discover already amazing palettes (as agreed by the collective great mass of passionate users kuler) that titillate the senses and are full of inspiration - I would visit kuler for every design project that came in my head.
