L412 processor i3 - upgrade RAM to 4 GB.

Hi all

I use L412 with i3 processor running on win xp and have 2 GB @ 2.48 Mhz memory, now I want to upgrade my ram to 4 GB. What are the considerations that I have to look for uogradeing to 4 GB.

I am looking to upgrade to the specification following RAM would this back in my laptop.

Transcend 4 GB of DDR3 Laptop RAM (JM1333KSN - 4G)

  • DDR3-1333
  • SO-DIMM memory module
  • 204 pin configuration
  • CL9 Latency CASE

Hi sandeepsingh540,

Yes, this memory is compatible, but only 64 bit systems support more than 3 GB of RAM, so make sure that your operating system is 64-bit before the upgrade.

Here are the specs of your computer that displays this information as well: features - ThinkPad L410 L510 L412, L512, SL410 and SL510

Best regards

  • Is it safe to upgrade RAM from 4 GB to 16 GB on mid2012 13 "MBP?

It's time to upgrade RAM and OWC claims it is safe to upgrade to 16 GB on my mid-2012 13 "MBP with 2.5 GHz processor Intel Core i5 and 500 GB hard drive, but everything on the Apple site indicates upgrade max is 8 GB. I want speed, but worry, it could be too much for the material.

Anyone else tried the more memory RAM successfully?

In theory this is your memory needs:

Maximum memory (Real) 16 GB 8 GB (Apple)
    Memory locations 2-204-pin PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM

The answer to your question is that you can upgrade to 16 GB. Because it depends on the machine itself, we cannot assure you that it is "safe". It may work or it may not work. This isn't a certified Apple upgrade. It is rather an upgrade coming OWC. They sell RAM for this upgrade. Other vendors such as DataMem and Crucial RAM probably do not sell 16 GB upgrade kits.

    Hello

Ivan is reason. Forget the CPU upgrade and put the maximum RAM (2 GB) and your device will work much better and faster. Compatible modules are:
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
    1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

Upgrading RAM is very simple and you can do it alone. The cache is placed in the lower corner.

  • Upgrade RAM & DDD installation on 15-r225nl

    Hello

I'm new to this forum. I did some research on the web and called tech support but I did ' t raise the answer to my question:

I want to upgrade ram real 1x4Go ddr3l to 2 x 4 GB (dual channel) on my laptop hp 15-r225nl , but I don't know if the motherboard has solts 1 or 2 for the RAM modules. It is meaningless for me to move to a single stickt of ram but in single channel 8 GB, I prefer configuring dual channel.

The Web site specifies only the amount of installed ram (or the maximum amount taken in charge or the number of ram slots).

In addition, I would like to replace the hard drive with an ssd. Do you have any technical document that shows how to open the laptop?

    Thanks and greetings

    Hello

I think 16 GB is the max. The maintenance and care guide says 16 GB for Intel based laptops. You have a Core i7 45W processor so the 16 GB should work on it.

  • CC 7100 cmt: questions upgrade ram cmt dc 7100 (please help)

    Hey all,.
There is history... or you can just go to the section "cut to the Chase" to the bottom of the post

    The long story...
my name is chris, and I'm trying to help a 14-year-old son, friends learn a lil more on his old pc.

his pc has a hand and is obviously outdated, I got a bunch of old carcasses of office and let him rumage anything that would contribute to his pc. We found a total of 3 GB of ram ddr400mhz which is just below its limit of 4 GB machines.

so I thought everything would go smoothly, it is certainly not my first ram upgrade, having built many of the old desktop computers it was inflict through, I consider myself pretty well informed on the pc and have renovated a lot of pc, same Freelancer my skills of mechanics and tokens for a lil extra cash on the side I have dealt with many a problem, repair and upgrade, since I took my first windows machine in 2000, before that I started with a commodore 64 and eventually got an apple iic when I was about 10 years old... anyway, what im getting here, is I USED to know my s#@t, but for some reason any It's evading me and google isn't offering anything on the subject.

We planned on him to update to sp3 after have modernized their equipment as much as we can, while at the same time educate him as much as I could about how the computer worked, how to open and how to treat the components inside, it was the first time, he had never looked inside his machine or any machine besides...

However, because of delays and the issue with the ram does not, I eventually send him home with the same stock set up, he brought to me.

    Cut to the Chase

The problem here is that for some reason when I install 1, 2 or 3 the cards of ram 1 GB the machine do not post and triggers a series of beeps system, so obviously something isn't jiving, and I can't put my finger on it.
I can use 1,2,3 or all 4 of his stock [256 MB ddr 400 mhz] ram cards and it will display and start with change messages memory clear system, however, when you use less than four of its ram slots, a message is launched upward during post, stating something to the effect of all the slots must contain the same amount of ram

We are working on PC is a:
    HP DC 7100 CMT
    Windows XP SP2

    current installed RAM is [256 MB ddr 400 mhz] x 4 = a total of 1 GB

    tried to upgrade RAM parts:
    Ballistix [1 GB ddr 400 mhz] x 2 = a 2 GB total

    more

Memory Dell [1 gb ddr] (mhz are not)

I thought it was probably a bios thing and was about to investigate, but we ran out of time, now I'm tender hand to this community in the hope that someone here can indicate what it is I'm obviosly dominant, I really want to get his machine is upgraded because it is expessing a lot of interest in Unity3D , and scripts, ANDS I'd like see hiw cultivate these skills and I can't buy a machine, and he cannot afford a new machine, so the upgrade of its rigging with these old quarters would be the most ideal situations for him, if we cannot find out we will simply create a new rig out of my 'old' , but the 3.0 ghz core dou in his dc 7100 cmt processor is probably better than any of the alternatives in my attic... so yes this is my dilemma and I hope that some here is kind enough to point me in the right direction

    Thank you and best regards,
    Chris

    Hello:

You must have the total amount of memory in slots 1 and 3 are the same, and the same quantity in slots 2 and 4.

The PC will not work if you put 1 GB in slot 1, 1 GB in slot 2 and 1 GB in the Groove 3 because you're short 1 GB in the empty slot 4 and just short of 1 GB in slot 4 = 5 beeps.

Then... If you do not have 4 x 1 GB then use 1 GB in slots 1 and 3 and 256 MB in slots 2 and 4.

See the table below on page 16 memory configuration.

  • HP 240 G3 laptop: HP 240 mobile G3 Upgrade RAM help

    Hello!

I just bought a HP 240 G3 laptop and want to upgrade RAM 8 GB.

Here are the specs of the laptop of HP support assistant:

Model: HP 240 G3 Notebook PC

    Product no.: M1V30PA #ACJ

    Processor: Intel (r) Pentium (r) CPU N3540 2.16 GHz

    OS: Win 8.1

Current RAM: 2GB Hynix Semiconductor 1333 MHz (DDR3)

Can I go to a 8 GB Transcend 1600 MHz, or should I just get 1333 MHz?

Laptop computer supports up to 8 GB according to the directives of the brochure of the seller.

There is only a single slot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    See you soon.

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

Actually, the manual says if I just read that Trail Bay models have 2 memory slots. I am skeptical. Is yours have a coverage of service for memory? If this isn't the case, it will require removal of the motherboard to access.

It seems that DDR3L-1600 memory is compatible with all versions of this model of laptop, even if some will be downclock at 1333.

The official number of HP for a 8 GB module is:

    8 GB (PC3L, 12800, 1600 MHz) 693374-001

  • Tecra Z40 - A - the upgrade (RAM RAM)

    Hi all

Ordered little RAM to upgrade my Toshiba Tecra Z40 - A, but can not find, for the life of me, anything where you want to insert online.

I previously installed RAM under the keyboard (couple of clips holding it) and on the other, a small cover on the bottom, but the Z40 does not appear to be anywhere easily accessible.

Has anyone upgraded RAM on the Z40? Or is it a big no, no, because of the guarantee?

    Thank you
    Lance

Memory upgrade on this model Tecra is a bit complicated and, in my view, should not be done by the owner of the laptop. For some models of Ram upgrade can be done by the owner of the laptop and exact instructions how do proposed in document s user manuals, but not for your Tecra.

For full access to the RAM modules lower lid should be removed and it can be done by people of service only. If you do this alone you can void the warranty valid.
I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider in your country and ask for help or advice.

    The protégé 4000 is compatible with the PC133 modules! AFAIK, you can upgrade RAM of this notebook 1 GB (1024 MB) and you can use these modules;
    PC133 512 MB (PA3108U - 1 M 51)
    PC133 256 MB (PA3086U - 1 M 25)
    PC133 128 MB (PA3085U - 1 M 12)

You can create partitions on the HARD drive using a 3rd party like Partition Magic 8 tool. I use this tool and it's really nice.
After you create 2 or three partitions on the HARD disk, you could install different OS (operating systems).

I gave to my two daughters a Netbook Toshiba NB200 - 00L. Both came loaded with Windows 7 Starter. If I just upgrade to Windows Home Premium, it will slow down computers. I was told that the maximum ram that can take netbooks is 1gig. However, I keep seeing that people are upgraded to 2gigs. I want to upgrade the ram so that Windows Home Premium will work better. Can someone enlighten me on this subject. Upgrading ram Home Premium support will be more effective? Also, is anyone Home Premium running on their netbooks without upgrading, and it is really slow? Hello

AFAIK NB200 can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM. Therefore, you can check the specs on the Toshiba site!

I m not NB200 owner but I improved my other laptops equipped with modules from Kingston. I've never had a problem with these modules. They always run stable and don t make problems.
