LabVIEW 2010 App Builder/installer-target OS Options

I have little time move LV8.6.1 Devloper now under Win XP 32 bit 2010 running under Win7 64-bit.

The applicationbuilder and Installer there the possibility to deploy Win XP 32 bit as well as the execution engine corresponding applications?

Thank you

Hmmm, do you have a time machine?

LabVIEW 2011 is not yet released. You will have to wait until August to do this.

There is no particular selection of Windows XP in the installation section of the Application Builder. It's just going to create an installer for any platform Windows you are running at this time. So if you launch LabVIEW 32 Bit it will create a LabVIEW 32 Bit application and Setup and if you launch LabVIEW 64 Bit it will create an application according to and the installer. Needless to say that the installer and 64-bit application can only be run on a 64-bit system, so that you can install the 32-bit application on a system.

Course made window size was set to maintain proportions on different monitors. Installer has a file XXXXX.ini (name of my startup vi) but no labview.ini (configuration information?). Any ideas? Right click on your screen on the Windows desktop, select Customize, and then select Show. Check that the fonts are on either 100, 125 or 150%. According to what has been defined when you generated your VI, this could be the difference. You can change it to match the other computer or follow these steps.

    Edit the INI file for your Application with the following lines:

    FPFont = "Segoe UI" 15
    appFont = "Segoe UI" 15
    dialogFont = "Segoe UI" 15
    systemFont = "Segoe UI" 15
    BDFont = "Segoe UI" 15

    (Use your & size of font, Segoe UI is Windows 7 by default).

  • Is it possible to build a project with Labview 2010 on a Windows XP system, which is useful for a system with windows 7 on it?

    Hello

    I intend to use Labview 2010 in no time.

    But before I go to use it I have a few questions.

    1. I know that it is possible to run Labview 2010 in an XP environment. But is it also possible, when running Labview 2010 on an XP system, to build a project for a version that is useful in a Windows 7 environment?
    2. Or should I run Labview 2010, when I want to build a project that is useful on a Windows 7 system, on a system with Windows 7?

    Please give me some information.

    I hope to hear from you soon.

    Guy of OR,.

    In LabVIEW 2010, I installed the touch screen module but 'Touch Panel corresponding project' does not appear in the list of "Targets" of the "Getting Started" initial LV window. The Add/Remove dialog box confirms that the module is installed... Is - can be changed?

    Thanks in advance

    I think that the Touch Panel project should be added to the drop target when you install the Touch Panel Module.  As this isn't the case, I think it's a bug.  Thanks for pointing out that, and I will file a request for corrective measures to get changed for the next editions of LabVIEW.

    Did someone correctly installed LabPython on LabView 2010?

  • App Builder IPA installs fail: a signed resource has been added, changed, or deleted.

    Every app I have Edit and build seems to have a problem of App Builder for code signing:

    app-installation-failed.png

    Nothing has been edited directly in the IPA.  App Builder using, each application that is edited and then uploaded as "Developer application (.ipa)" installs as stated above.

    It's like building application server-side is adding / not to sign a code resource in the bundle.

    Christophe,

    Hi, thanks for following it upwards.

    For this project I had accidentally downloaded the file hidden repo git in the ZIP downloaded on the App Builder.  Apparently caused code sign questions. that although confused, turns out great as it would have been unfortunate for submitting the application with these artifacts.

    Problem is solved, and I get is no longer this error.

    Help, please!

    What version of Mac OS do you have? I guess it's 10.6.8 which is not supported by the App Builder. You need to update to a newer version of Mac OS.

  • always had problems with the dps app generator. I only got the option activate in the app Builder.

    Hello

    I'm doing an app with Indesign. When I download the application with the Builder app everything works until the end, I don't get the files to download.

    I only get the option enable the user to simple editing. I followed all the steps on this forum to make things work, but it did not make sense.

    I ordered Adobe CC membership from a Dutch company Slim.nl (it is for students and teachers), they say it's full membership and I can download all the software.

    On the internet, I found an article that said that the Slim software of Adobe do not support digital publishing service. This could be the reason why the app Builder does not work?  I asked Slim.nl, but they say that I have full membership.

    Maybe someone can confirm that there are several versions of full membership.

    Thank you!

    You launch the App Builder by going to the item Create App in the flyout in Panel of Folio Builder? Don't launch App Builder directly from the Applications.

    If you run the App Builder in the menu drop down and will always ask for a serial number then your CC subscription does not include simple editing.

  • Build installer undefined error - 12 CDK_CreateNewWizard_Invoke.vi

    Search in the forum without solution for my mistake. I tried to build an installer with LabVIEW 2009 and I have each time the same error undefined-12. Here what I did:

    -J' made a very simple vi, build an application and Installer, the same error

    -J' downloaded the evaluation version of LabVIEW 2010, same error.

    -J' uninstalled DAQmx, same error

    -J' uninstalled my antivirus, same error

    -J' installed the evaluation version of LabVIEW 2010 on another PC, same error

    I joined the window with LabVIEW 2010 description of the error.

    Thanks for your help.

    DO NOT USE THE SOFTWARE FOR ADVANCED SYSTEM CARE. He deleted something you need to do an installer.

  • LabVIEW 2010 will not install on Win XP SP3

    I have made several attempts to install LabVIEW 2010 on Win XP SP3. I already have LabVIEW 2009 installed and working.

    On each attempt, I accept the default installation options and do not put in a serial number. The first attempt got stuck at 2% full and has not changed for 30 minutes. No error message. I canceled the installation and tried to install it again from setup.exe.

    The next two attempts to stall at 0% blinking forever. The 4th attempt made in 18% entered at a standstill for more than 30 minutes. The next two attempts is stagnating at 0% repeating and not cancel. I had to end it with the Task Manager.

    Why it not install LabVIEW 2010 without stalling until 30 minutes? Why it not spit an error instead of just stalling? How can I know why he moved?  How should I do?

    I finally got to LabVIEW 2010 to install.

    I didn't have a corrupted download. I didn't disable my antivirus. I didn't have a lot of processes running. I turned off my computer last night and I tried the setup.exe again this morning first thing. Maybe running LabVIEW 2009 yesterday before installation left something that the installation did not like. Who knows?

    How is the installation of LabVIEW 2010 would just stall for long periods (more than 30 minutes, maybe forever) without any error message or progress?

    LabVIEW has a Setup log that I could look into these situations to see where the installation is suspended up to and perhaps why?

  • App builder includes library dll

    I am trying to build an exe application in LV6i. I have problems with a couple of dll, which is ours and the other a library NIDAQ dll, lvdaq.dll.

    App builder includes support files and wants to put them in the data directory.  I want that they in a common space, because other applications use.

    If I leave them in place, the build fails (probably due to a source/destinationclash).

    If I move the source location, the App Builder won't find them unless I'm recording with them. I can't change the field of generator of the app it here to point where I want to.

    If I register with the location of the 'source', I modify the destination location for what I want and the build succeeds, but the program cannot find the dll files and does not start correctly. I have manually pointing them at startup.

    I am doing something stupid? (my head spinning) I'm very happy for App Builder just ignore them and install them manually on the target computer.

    It works fine when running in the environment of development (base) of the screw.

    If you want Builder app for ignoring them you prefer to copy in the path system or Windows and delete all other copies on your development computer. You will ignore the DLLs located in one of these locations by Builder app as being provided by the system.

    Of course, in order to start your application on another system, need to ensure that these DLLs are installed. They can either go to the Windows directory or system referred to above, or if you put them somewhere else you must make sure to add this directory to the PATH environment variable. LabVIEW will simply Windows for the DLL, and if it isn't in the Windows directory or system (or the directory of the current application) or in a directory path variables windows won't be able to find it.

    I would not mess with lvdaq.dll. It is necessary to LabVIEW for hardware access DAQ and access the system will install the NOR-DAQ drivers.

  • Collision of filenames with App-Builder NI_Report

    Hello

    Pluggable LabView 8.6 with the App Builder.

    I made a button for the promotion of the United Nations with application pour print front. I am inspired by the example provided "PrintControlReport.vi". Pluggable so six of the NI_Report class.

    I wish to make a .exe from this application.

    During construction, the Builder application tells me multiple collisions of names and I stored 93 files in 3 folders titled:

    -NI_HTML

    -NI_report

    -NI_Standard report

    My application will not run without these files. However, it is unthinkable that I deliver to my clients such an application which requires 93 additional files!

    I had no such problem with the v8.5. Is this a bug of the v8.6?

    Pour sure that ECA was not my program, I tried to make a .exe with the example "PrintControlReport.vi". It's the same.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Hello

    Indeed, the behavior of LabVIEW creating 'executable with the Report Generation Toolkit has been modified between 8.5 and 8.6 LabVIEW LabVIEW. This is not a bug.

    However, there are two options if you do not want to have as many additional files. The first is to rename the files with similar names. The second is to include these additional files in DLLs.

    For more details on these two points, you can consult the following links:
