LabVIEW is always looking to install the runtime of CVI 8.1

I test LabVIEW on a VISTA laptop before converted us all of our PCs in 2000 to VISTA. The software looked OK, including NOR-DAQmx 8.72, I plugged my cDAQ-9172 and MAX seen correctly. As soon as I started a panel test "CVI Runtime Engine 8.1" window popped up and it configured CVI 8.1 runtime and asked me to reboot. I rebooted and exactly the same thing happened, also happens if I start to LabVIEW.

I tried NO-DAQmx 8.80 updated my installer of Microsoft and the problem persists. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Tom

After uninstallation and reinstallation of LabVIEW and all the drivers several times I found that version 2.5 of the 488.2 was the problem. I did a complete withdrawal, clean and reinstall with LabVIEW 8.2.1, NOR-DAQmx 8.8 and NOR-488. 2 2.6 in a business version HP Vista laptop. So far all good plays.

You use a USB-serial adapter?  Has been sending peripheral data when you start the computer to the top?  The device sending the data while the USB adapter has been being connected?

It's probably a Windows problem.  If you connect a serial device (adapter USB-serial anytime or a build/PCI serial port at startup) and the device sends data, then Windows think that standard equipment is a mouse.

  • Right way to install the Runtime of the ADF in Stand Alone weblogic 10.3.3.0

    Hello:
I found several different methods to install the ADF Runtime into a single weblogic 10.3.3.0 server. and they seem to be very different.

Anyone know the official way to Oracle to install the ADF Runtime or specifically refers to this in the docs? The goal is to make a simple application web ADF and make it work on a single weblogic server.

Thanks for this post by looking at.

You can use the installer that comes with JDeveloper, or one that comes with the Installer application to WebLogic developer.

  • Install the Runtime Error for ATK Hotkey driver drivers for SL500 on Windows 7

    Hello

I recently installed Windows 7 on a new hard drive and had a few devices not recognized in Device Manager that ThinkVantage Toolbox also could not solve. Now I am manually install these device drivers and have a few problems.

    (1) the shortcut keys (key from Lenovo, volume up/down, mute) do not work.

    (2) for the power manager battery indicator displays "Battery not installed" rather than the remaining battery time.

    (3) install the device driver for ATK Hotkeys gives a runtime error.

    (4) the Device Manager still contains a device that is not recognized and cannot install the drivers for.

I tried almost all combinations of installation/uninstallation of different drivers, even the drivers beta, keyboard shortcuts, Manager of power, ATK hotkeys, etc, but can't get the drivers to install correctly. I have even the old drivers for my old installation, which at least gives me a scenario where I can get the battery indicator to work, still generates an error whenever I start up Windows associated with "ACPI ATK0100". I can go back to the State where the error goes away, but then the battery indicator stops working, by uninstalling the Lenovo_ATK_Package.

Again, this is a new installation with a big mess of 8 hours of installation/uninstallation of drivers. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

You can post links to the drivers you have tried or installed on your SL500? e.g. Hotkey, ATK, and Power Manager?

    Try the following drivers: -.

The best place to go would be website from your ISP because they should include that he adapted Windows 7 drivers.  Make sure you get the x 64 drivers if your Windows 7 is 64-bit.  Make sure you get the x 86 drivers if your Windows 7 is 32-bit.

Your ISP is a better choice than ZTE itself-, I used to have one of their modems & never had luck in trying to get anything directly from them.

  • ? I have a macbook pro and you are looking to install the same programs on a mini. It will be ok

You are considering buying a mini that I use a pro at the moment and am looking for more space how will run the programs of each?

You are allowed to have two active facilities.  If the mini meets the requirements of the system it should not be a problem with the installation and activation of the software on it (I do not use Mac so I can't say if the mini is an exception).

  • DBUA always necessary when installing the game patches before the creation of the database?

    Hello!

I'm actually reinstall my tesserver from scratch. Of course finally system shoul be completely corrected. As performer DBUA really is the boring part of the application of the fix, I wonder if I have to run DBUA at all, if I do all the patches before you create the database. As much I know it shouldn't be necessary, right?

My plan is to do the following

    -Install 10.2.0.1
    -Install Patch 10.2 .0.4
    -Install processors
    -Create the database
(-> performance DBUA is not necessary)

I'm wrong or what I need to use DBUA anyway? BTW: the database will be a "new database" (not recreated from a template).

(I think that databases in the models are just restored databases and should be corrected in any case, after the creation).

    Best regrards,
    Marcus

DBUA is used to upgrade the databases after you patched. Since you will create a new database after you apply the hotfix, you don't need to update.

  • [LabVIEW 2013] Update Service NOR recommend to install the update for the 2012 LabVIEW runtime engine

Update service NOR recommend to install the patch f5 for the 2012 LabVIEW runtime engine. However, I have LabVIEW 2013 currently running on this computer and never had installed LabVIEW 2012.

Is this expected behavior and it is actually recommended to install this update?

    Hi mest,.

Details of the full patch for f5 patch are available in this knowledge base article. As a general statement, we encourage everyone to install the patches as soon as they are available through the Update Service, especially if they are marked as Urgent (it is not marked urgent). In this particular case, it is unlikely that you'll turn to all the problems solved by the f5 2012 SP1 hotfix since you use LabVIEW 2013.

The reason why you see the update in the update service is LabVIEW 2013 installs several versions of the runtime LabVIEW, so Update Service sees that you have on 2012 Run-Time Engine installed and invites you to patch.

  • install the ADF on WLS 12 c runtime

    Dear Experts.

I installed a generic distribution of Weblogic server on centoes, then I tried to deploy my dummy application of ADF. Unfortunately, I am not able to do so, during the process of deploymen I got msg from Miss library references.

Under the "Deployments" section there is no ADF library. I tried to existing domain extended from WLS, but there is no option to select the frame of the ADF - screenshoot.

Y at - it an option to install the runtime of the ADF?

    See you soon.

Try approach Duncan Mills used to install a stand alone WLS (well, this is not for production) https://blogs.oracle.com/groundside/entry/setting_up_a_standalone_weblogic

  • LabVIEW run engine time included in the application exe

    Hi all

Back in LabVIEW 5, we could create a single LabVIEW application exe file that included the execution engine (all in a single exe file). Now, we must install the runtime engine in its own right + the LabVIEW application exe. I don't think that someone knows a way to create LabVIEW application exe files which include the execution engine in new versions of LabVIEW.

I know that we can install the runtime automatically during the installation of the LabVIEW application.

I know also it makes more sense to have the execution time separate from the application of updates etc, but in some cases its nice just have a program obviously installed on the system - the application of interest.

    Any soloutions neat known?

    -Martin

The time of applications from a single file is long gone. The current LabVIEW runtime engine is a great combination of many files, including DLLs, interface model files user etc. It is not always necessary, but even the most trivial LabVIEW application today takes several tens of these files at startup even. That's how things have changed, and although there are indeed efforts to get apps to run from one place to put them on a USB key for example, LabVIEW is not really a system that lends itself to this. In LabVIEW 7.1 and 8.0, you could include virtually all of the files that make up the runtime system in the same folder as your executable file, no NOR never argued that neither they will probably move to make. With some trial and error, you can start deleting files and see if your app still worked then, but it's a tricky procedure since the application could often start very well, but suddenly encounter display problems if you have opened a subscreen or something with this subject-specific objects.

You can probably try to simply copy all the files from the LabVIEW Runtime folder in your executable file and there is a chance that it still works, but what for? The size of the facility remains basically the same and if you happen to install both applications on the same computer, each contains a copy of all of the runtime system, so there is no gain more but in fact a setback.

The interdependencies of these modules are complicated and some need additional components and registry settings to work properly. By offering a way to configure individually that you want to include, and what would be a total pita for the end user that nobody would really understand what is needed for what and why. Experience would be so especially try it doesn't work once, and never use it again.

I never thought to look into this latest version of LabVIEW. Time to figure it all out is simply average too much punishment for the small gains you get. Installers are the norm these days.

Another issue that followed, is that you need to monitor all the Security Advisory reports NOR and other bugfixes and act on them yourself whenever a component that you have added in your application must be updated. As it is now, the NI Updater can and will update the plant installed according to enforcement system and all is well.
