LabVIEW: Null error window in an application?

Hello

I just built an app from a vi and I encounter an error:

LabVIEW: Null window.

The first level VI 'name1.vi '.

was arrested in stranger on the block diagram of the 'name2.vi '.

The application runs smoothly until the user selects a few keyboard shortcuts to open a simple Subvi briefly while running to check on a file path.  This key combination works perfectly when the normal vi works and the Subvi displays information, then closes and continues execution of vi.  Why it wouldn't work when it was built as an application?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Solved my problem - should have dug a little deeper before posting - sorry!

I tried to repair itunes without success and then uninstalled itunes and tried to reinstall it but when I tried to reinstall I get a different error message (error Windows 1114)
    Can you help me?

    Hello

This seems to be a new issue facing users of iTunes while trying to update to the latest version of iTunes on Windows 7. I checked in the Apple support sites and found that uninstalling iTunes and then put it back in place, by running the installer with administrator privileges has solved the problem for many users with similar problems.

You can see the responses made by user turingtest2 in the following threads of the Apple Support forums, the steps are correctly described here:

    https://discussions.Apple.com/message/24609674#24609674

    https://discussions.Apple.com/message/24616175#24616175

The steps which have been voted as useful for these discussions include:

First, uninstall each of these programs from your computer:

    • iTunes
    • Apple Software Update
    • Apple Mobile Device Support
    • Hello
    • Apple Application Support

Then, Download and save the installer for iTunes by clicking on this link: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

And finally, reinstall iTunes by running the installer registered with elevated permissions. Here's how you can do this:

    1. Right click on the installer downloaded.
    2. Click run as administrator.
    3. Click Yes or continue when Windows ask you for your consent.

This should help you solve this problem. If you are still not able to get the iTunes program works correctly, you can also post your request in the iTunes of Apple Support Forums. Here is the link for forums:

  • Is there a way to make an EXE LabVIEW built on Windows XP on Windows 7?

I have a request that I build (LabVIEW 8.6) on Windows XP, that installs and works fine on other XP machines.  However, after installing it on a Windows 7 computer, I get an error stating that "The procedure entry point CsrNewThread could not be found in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll".  When I look at ntdll.dll (in C:\Windows\System32) with a tool dependency walker on XP, I see the CsrNewThread function listed, but its function is missing from the same DLL named on Windows 7.  So I guess that somewhere along the evolutionary line Windows this function has been removed from ntdll.dll.  My first instinct was to try overwirting ntdll.dll on the Windows 7 machine with one copied from my Windows XP computer.  However, our system administrator only gave me permission to replace this file on the Windows 7 machine.  I could ask him to give me this permission, but I'm not sure it's the best way to go anyway because the other programs in Windows 7 can use ntdll.dll.  I tried to copy the WIndows XP version of ntdll.dll in the local folder on the Windows 7 machine containing my LabVIEW application, but this has not fixed the problem.  And when I look at my application in the dependency walker tool, I see that he is always looking in the ntdll.dll file in the WIndows\System32 folder and not in my local folder.  Yes, is there a way to make an EXE LabVIEW built on Windows XP on Windows 7?  Or I have to do a version for Windows XP and one for Windows 7?  Still, I am using LabVIEW 8.6.

    Thank you

Keep in mind that LabVIEW 8.6 is not officially supported under Windows 7.  You may want to consider switching to less than LV2009.

I am able to run the program from my computer at work fine. I then copied the files on another computer in our laboratory. Click on the arrow of the execution and the deployment progress window appears. Deployment status reads as follows:

I've been to the measurement and Automation Explorer and installed / reinstalled the system software to remotely on computers and that they are corresponding versions.

With the help of technical support NOR, I think we have found a solution. We uninstalled Labview from the computer. We have then reinstalled in the following order. 1 install the labview development environment in 2015. 2. install the real time module. 3. install the FPGA. 4 drivers CompactRIO. We installed these one at a time to make sure they were installed in the correct order, and it seems to have solved our problems. Thank you.

  • Excel 2007 to carry forward when called LabVIEW v9 in Windows 7

I'm building a dual system using LabView and Excel 2007 v9, Windows 7.  The original system used Windows XP, Excel 2007, and LabView v8.6.  The problem is that the original system has been able to bring forward to Excel when it is called LabVIEW by using the node property - application-> visible.  This new configuration is running Excel, loads the data, run macros, but does not Excel forward.  The icon flashes in the bar of tasks Win7 and when selected displays at the top of LabView.  If I reduce the window of Labview, Excel is here.  This brings me to the conclusion that Excel is visible, as requested but will not come forward until this that selected in the taskbar.  The only differences, not to mention the versions, is used the extension .xls in model of original system files was performed in Excel in compatibility mode.  At the request of customers, the new system uses on model files Excel .xlsm extension.  I tried to use application.visible = True in the macro as well.  Could be a setting in Labview?  Could be a setting in Excel? Could be .xls vs. .xlsm? Or a problem with Windows 7 and the latest version of Labview.

I'll try the windowstate change.  Were these done successively? (i.e., property node-> property-> property node node) Or have they done along the way like the open call ActiveX and a property node then in a spreadsheet etc editing area, so there was some time between calls?

I just use something like this in any place where I normally just would make excel visible. Works for me on Win7 x 64 even though I don't really know why.

On Windows XP, I never had no problem with just using the visible property, with a change unique windowstate or even without one.

Receive the 25 (Null) error when using Flightsimulator FSX

    Hello

Try to open the it to start - all programs - Games - Games Explorer, and then clicking the icon FSX.

A disk error of 25 means that the program cannot read your disk reading.  Either the disc is scratch, dirty or defective.  If you need another drive, or you can try it on another computer. The message of Visual elements of Vista is not serious.  Vista will automatically your screen to a basic compatible mode when the application is launched.  However, it seems that your game is a failure due to the disk error and not the Vista display problem. Try to clean the disc and see if that helps.

Last resort, it seems you'd have to do a complete uninstall and reinstall FSX.

    Cheers!

  • Blue C:\WINDOWS\wmcicif.dll error (Windows XP) specific module could not be found

Blue C:\WINDOWS\wmcicif.dll error (Windows XP) specific module could not be found

My printer kept jamming so I went to reboot my computer and this is the message that appeared and continue to appear each time that I reboot or turn my computer now.

I deleted and re-installed my printer in the hope that it could solve my problem, however, it did not work.

It is easy to get rid of the error message by doing something like disable the startup item in msconfig (if you can still find), but I suggest you solve the problem and not only correct the symptoms of the problem in just the startup message.  Deactivation of the item in msconfig 'fixed' nothing but the annoying startup message.
I would recommend also you start to search in the register, unless you have a backup because there is no 'Cancel' or 'quit without saving changes' option in regedit.  If you make a mistake, that's all.
These ideas relieve 'rapid' and sometimes risky of the symptom, but may not actually solve the problem.  Also, I'd be suspicious of ideas that begin with the words "try."  You don't need to try things, you need to fix things.
Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.
There is very little. DLL files that should be loaded from the C:\WINDOWS folder and is not one of them.
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira
!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..
A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.
If you just locate and uncheck the item in msconfig, which disables the element but does not remove the reference to the element of false starting your computer.   The msconfig program is not a Startup Manager, that's a troubleshooting tool.  Disabling things in msconfig to put an end to the messages and think that your problem is solved is short-sighted and leave behind him a sloppy XP configuration.  Just disable the display of a start-up error message should not count as a 'solution' to the problem.
If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can find and remove the reference directly from there or remove it using a popular third-party tool called Autoruns.  The problem can always be found in the registry well.
Before making any changes to your registry by hand or with third-party tools, don't forget to first make a backup of the registry. There is no cancellation or exit without saving the option in regedit.
Here is a link to a popular registry backup tool:
You can use Autoruns to find the element of start remains little matter where he's hiding.  Autoruns does not install anything on your computer.  It will display all startup locations where the reference may be then you can turn it off or remove it completely.  Here is the download link for Autoruns:
Run Autoruns.exe and wait that he at the end of the filling of the list of entries.
When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.
The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the connection tab and see if the startup item is there.
Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.
If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.
You can also click file, search to search for logon, or any tab for all or part of the name of the element.
Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove
.  If you are not sure what it is, you can simply disable, restart and if the problem is resolved and then remove the offending entry.  If you don't see it in Autoruns, you may edit the registry and remove the item from your startup folder it.  Autoruns shall display the same information however.
Given that you had or have an infection, followed with this:
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.

Do, or do not. There is no test.
