lack of creating windows 7 install usb

This boot camp does not at all.

I have two menu options-

1. install windows 7

2 Download drivers

After doing all this of course at the end of the download there is an error - "installation disc is not found."

I tried to put the ISO on the USB with the downloaded drivers - that does not work.

After 1, 2 above I went to the home screen, and I only get the error that is not found on the installation disk.

In case of failure enormous amount of apples. It's a rotten apple.

Also missing the option to create a boot Disc... uh, nobody uses most CD players.

Your Mac has a built-in optical drive. Models by 2013 (2012 models are supported by the connection USB or DVD) requires a physical DVD. You can download a Microsoft - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows7 - W7 ISO and burn it to a DVD.

Allows to install Windows 7 and previous versions on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support and https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/mac/5.0/help/#/bcmp173b3bf2 to install W7.

  • How to install Windows XP via USB?

Hello, can you tell me please how do create an ISO file USB that can install Windows XP on my laptop as there is no CD drive in my laptop?

Looking forward to your kind response,
    Arvis

If you have already the iso on your desktop or on your drive, you can use rufus

Download RUFUS 1.20 here (read a few things on the page so you can learn more on this subject):

    http://Rufus.AKEO.IE/

I will warn to be careful that don't accidentally format you a hard disk - don't forget your USB key is in and know what the drive letter! This part makes me still a little nervous, so be careful.

It will make a bootable USB key if your pc is able to boot from a usb key, you can see your start option in your bios.

You cannot use a USB on Mac 2011 Installer. Please burn the ISO on a physical DVD Windows (a DVD - R Carbon SL on the rate of burning slower is better) and use it to install Windows. The file Info.plist changes only allowing the creation of USB, but does not fully support a USB Installation.

    Not directly.

There is a SMALL chance that if your hardware supports it (unfortunately never say you anything on your PC or BIOS), you can boot from a USB stick or an optical drive and install Windows XP like this.
    But it is unlikely.

Installation of Windows Xp from a usb key involves a lot more than simply copy the files from one windows on a USB disk. It is much more difficult than don't imagine most (but not impossible). None in general, you can assign optical readers or card readers a different drive letter for drive letters may be consecutive.

Specifically, if you're talking about reducing the existing operating system partition it is pretty reliable but could save all important files 1.

The choice to create more partitions during setup of the system instead of when Windows is online I would choose the first when possible.

If I press 'ok' this message returns and the same thing with the 'X '.

    What can I do?

    Thank you

OK, so let me correct me on the tools.

You will need another Windows computer with an internet connection, a 8 GB USB key.

Your Pavilion x 2 has already a normal USB port, so you don't have an OTG adapter or an external keyboard.

On another Windows machine (laptop or desktop), you will need to install the Microsoft Media creation tool. Download 32 bit or 64 bit to match the other PC you borrow to make USB install drive with.

    Windows media 10 creation tools

Once installed, launch it. When it opens, follow these steps:

Choose "Create install to another PC media" and click Next.

Select the desired language. Select Windows 10 House. Architecture, choose 32-bit (x 86) and click Next.

Select a USB flash drive and click Next.

Make sure that the correct drive letter is selected for your USB Thumb drive. He will probably want to name ESD - USB by default, and it's ok. Click Next.

It will start to download Windows 10 and create the version installed on the USB key.

Now that your installation drive is made, you can use it to install Windows 10 on x 2 flag.

Makes sure that your battery is fully charged and the power is connected.

Insert the installation disk USB that you just created in the USB port.

Make sure that no other things aren't connected except the USB thumb drive, mouse cable and power.

Turn on the Tablet and quickly start pressing the ESCAPE key to bring up the Start Menu in the Bios.

Select F9 for Boot Device Options.

The TOP or bottom of the arrows on the keyboard to select the USB.

The USB key can start the installation or might open a window asking how to make the recovery. If so, select the program in the media.

NOTE: IF the USB is not an option to select, you need to go back into the Bios and disable Secure Boot and / or also to activate Legacy Boot. Here, the link to the instructions for it and it will be the same for almost all HP computers.

    How to disable Secure Boot

Once that Windows is installed, you will be asked to enter an activation key to continue.

Choose to ignore this and allow the installation to continue. When Windows finally installed it can ask you again the key.

Pass it again and let Windows update or force it to be updated manually. When it updates, it will be activated automatically. It will because you already had 10 Windows updated, work and previously enabled on this computer.

If all goes well, I didn't confuse you again. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Desktop Pavilion p6-2011 pc: want to remove windows 7 install xp pro. How can I do this?

Just picked up the machine above for my wife and want to remove Windows 7 install XP pro.  The machine does not allow me to do.  All the options in addition to removing the disc?

    Thank you

    Hello:

You can install XP on your PC. You will need to install the drivers from the website of the manufacturer of each material.

Lighter is right in the fact that HP will not support your PC under XP, so if you have problems operating system, don't bother calling HP support.  I guess that the material would still be under warranty.

That being said... I guess that when you install the XP disc that it loads up, and when he says 'Setup starts Windows', he goes kerflooey, right?

Well, it's because you need to load the SATA ACHI drivers for your machine when you receive this message at the bottom of the XP installation (press F6 if you need to load a SATA/RAID controller).

So what you need to do, is go to your security & system menu in the Control Panel, click on Device Manager in Windows 7. Click on the small arrow next to the line of IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.  Post back with the name of your listed drive controller.

We will need to charge the correct SATA driver at the F6 prompt. You also need a USB floppy drive or a USB flash drive using the DCIS drivers copied on it, I will provide you with once you offer this info.

You will also need to go into your BIOS and look in your storage options menu. See if there are parameters for the emulation of SATA mode. There should be 3 settings, ACHI, RAID and IDE.

If there is an IDE framework, you can change your settings to that and load XP without going through all the stuff of F6, but you will then need to load this driver after installing XP for optimum performance of the road.

Then I will provide you with the instructions to load the SATA ACHI driver if you can change your settings for the IDE BIOS.

I'll give you also with the links (I hope) for many other drivers you will miss.

I agree with also lighter it is imperative that you create these recovery disks before continuing with the installation of Windows XP.

I'm pretty confident that you can get everything to work on XP.

    Paul
