lack of download arrow on the address bar
Miss me the download arrow at the top right of the address bar that indicates when a download is past and completed. I know that I used to have it, but not more. How can I get it?
Well, look on your mozilla browser right side there is an option "open Menu", you need to open that and you can customize the whole view. And here, you will get all of the unique options of Mozilla. as downloads, history, Print and all.

I've updated it Firefox 4 today and I no longer seem to have to drop the box that used to be next to the arrow icons that you use to move backward and forward between Web pages. It is one that allows you to skip the pages you have visited.
Right click on the previous/next buttons.

Select a Web site in the address bar doesn't automatically loads the page.
I've updated today (14/02/2012) v 10.0.1. Previously, when I used the 'arrow' in the address bar to select a Web site, the browser would automatically go to this site. This is no longer the case.

I downloaded the latest version of firefox and since then when I type a web address in the address bar, I can not only support on enter to get onto the site I want, instead, I have to use the mouse to point the arrow at the end of the address bar and click it.
Driving me crazy! Never had this before!
Which may be caused by the add-on AVG safe browsing. Disable this extension if you have it installed.

OK, I ask once again. In the address bar, when I hit the pull down arrow to display the list of the sites that I visit frequently, usually, I click on the place where I want to go... to tell espn.com, lately, when I click on espn.com or one of the other sites listed, nothing happens, its stays on google, my homepage. Pls help
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

On some pages (like gmail.com), instead of the address of the page on the address bar, I get a mixture of icons (rss, homepage, Star, previous-next, print, refresh, search etc.). I can not copy the address or refresh the page. I downloaded firefox again, but it did not work.
Hello Kadomar, other users have reported that this error can be caused by third-party extensions like Icon RSS 1.0.6, which apparently is no longer maintained.

When a tab has a bit of history associated with it, the back and arrows forward near the address bar (IE lefet) opens this story of tabs when clicked.
But, I can't close this pop-up history.
In the past, hitting escape close this window. (firefox 14). Now (firefox 27) ESCAPE does not close the window.
How to close this window?
(I want to do this via the keyboard and NOT BY SIMPLE CLICK a RANDOM place on the screen.)
Thank you Gingerbread Man.
My problem was an extension: MOUSELESS BROWSING.
I really like this extension, but he did not get a lot of support.

Very recently, my Firefox has changed. I used to be able to start typing, say, 'www.google.com' in my location toolbar window. This would provide a drop-down list of recent sites, and I just click the line "www.google.com". Firefox would immediately take me to this Web site with a single click.
But now if I click on the line 'www.google.com', it simply puts "www.google.com" in the location toolbar window, do not send me to google. I have to press the arrow to the right of the address bar to go to the page of google.
Thus, something changed last week - maybe a setting has updated? I looked at the options page and can't seem to find something that applies.
Hello
Please check if this happens in Safe Mode.

Since the installation of Firefox 8, when I type anything in the address bar and then press "enter" or click on the arrow for "go to the address in the address bar", nothing happens! Similarly if a place is indicated by the location bar AutoComplete feature. I hit "enter" or click the "go to" and nothing happens. " Keyboard shortcuts to "complete the .com, .net, etc. addresses" doesn't work or the other. The address bar has worked well for entering web addresses before Firefox 8. Help, please.
Try Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.
A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.
(If you use it, switch to the default theme).- You can open the Firefox 4, 5, 6, 7 SafeMode pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.
Do not choose anything at the moment, just use 'continue in safe mode.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.
If it's good in Firefox Safe mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.

For some reason, Firefox stopped responding to the ENTRY in the address bar. Also choose a drop-down list page history does not to load.
In short, to open a page I have to choose or type the address and then click the green arrow. Why? He was always sufficient to press ENTER or select with the mouse. This problem may be caused by an extension that is not working properly.

Each time it manually to enter a url, past a url, or select a url from the address bar, the system requires that I click on the green arrow to go to the url. The entrance to key doe nothing. Am I the only one having this problem?
This problem may be caused by an extension (possibly AVG Safe Search) which does not work properly.

If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.
- Choose "Disable all add-ons" on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to set window to disable all extensions.
- Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')
In Firefox 4, you can use one of them to start in the questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode:
- Help > restart with disabled modules
- Hold down the SHIFT key while double-clicking the shortcut from the desktop Firefox (Windows)

I was able to hit just enter on websites in the drop down, before, but now it does not work. I tried the upgrade to FF4 thinking that it can solve my problem but not yet, I have to use the arrow at the end of the address bar to run to the page.

For example: I could type 'facebook' in the address bar and it would automatically take me to facebook.com now he takes me to google.com and shows me the search results. I want that Firefox take me directly to the page as before I installed Firefox 4.
I hate this new feature. Here's how to disable if:
Come on in "subject: config" in the URL
type in 'keyword' in the filter bar
Locate the property "keyword.enabled.
Double click on it to make sure that the value is set to FALSEeventually Firefox will take you directly to a Web site when you type in, instead of doing a search for it. Know that, if the word that you type does not lead to a Web site live while you're not going nowhere.
To counter that, for example, if you want to go to Facebook.com , but don't want to change anything in the settings of Firefox, hold down the 'Ctrl' on Windows when you enter a URL. Which will automatically add the ".com" at the end of any word you typed in. Note that this adds only the ".com" and will not automatically recognize ".edu", ".gov", etc.

I clicked "Remove from toolbar" when wanting to shoot to the top of what I had downloaded - how to restore DOWNLOAD arrow on the toolbar? If I download an update of some kind - or a program, I should be able to click on the arrow that appears on the upper right side of the browser - right than the blue? I can't figure out how to restore! I even tried to close and reopen the browser to see if it will rest - but no.
I am not programmer - so I need simple instructions!
Help, please!Type of topic: customization< enter > in the address bar.
In the new window, look for the icon. When you find it, press and hold
the left button on it and move it to where you want it to be.
You can move the icons you want here, but
some icons are locked in place.
