    Hello

Sorry I'm not quite clear about the situation.

You posted on the Vista Forum; you have loaded Win XP and you running Windows 7?

If the computer is currently running on Windows 7, newspaper to the support site for Toshiba laptop, download Windows 7 drivers for the wireless network card and install them.

    In general.

Check the Device Manager for the entry of valid card of the wire.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

    ----------------------------------

Try installing the latest drivers from the card manufacturer support page.

Download the drivers and extract them to a folder of your choice.

In Device Manager, right-click on the adapter.

Click Update drivers and choose her browse my computer for drivers.

Choose let me a list of choices, click on disk and point to the folder with the drivers.
    -------------------------------------

Check network connections to make sure that you have a Local Area Connection icon/entry, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Connect you to the menu of the router from a work computer and make sure DHCP is on, and it is configured to assign IPs which can cover the number of computers that are connected (a bit more will be even better).

Turn off the computer and the router, reset the router and the computer.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

On the State of intellectual property.

TCP/IP and its variables usually look like this.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

Typical TCP/IP status looks like this.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg

Description is the data of the card making.

    Physical address
is the MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1.
IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

    * Note 2 There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    ------------------------

Also, make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted

Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block aspects of the Local traffic even it they are off (off) . If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

  • LAN does not work on my Satellite C50D-B1017

    Hello

    I have a C50D - B1017 AMD 2100 E1 Satellite
It allows to work very well with the wired connection, but now it doesn't show even the Ethernet driver in Device Manager and it is set on in bios
I have ' tried to reinstall the operating system is windows 7, I tried both x 86 and x 64 still the same problem, I tried default and nothing has changed
still does not feel the integrated lan
    PS: the WiFi is fine

I hope someone could help me

Best test you can do is to set the BIOS to default settings and install the original version of OS that you got with your machine (recovery).
If the LAN doesn't work yet (not recognized in Device Manager) it is possible that there is little material related issue.

    The warranty is still valid?

  • My LAN does not work as I expect.

I set up a home network on my laptop, the Working Group is set to. I also put my desktop PC as working group HOME page. These settings have worked in the past at HOME! I set up the laptop with the permission for different files, and these can be seen and read or written on the desktop PC. I also set up on the desktop PC, the permissions and allowed the printer to use on the local network, but when I double click on network in the laptop I can see both my laptop and Desktop PC icons but if I then click on the desktop icon I was informed that I do not have the permissions and cannot see the files or printer. I tried to join the Group of home from the office and enter the password that I set up on the laptop but can not to connect/join. I see looking at control panel, network and sharing center that my Home Network is 'Home Network', while on the desktop PC, it's 'Home Network 2. Should I change this and if so, how. I could use my LAN set until my laptop needed a full factory reset which took back to Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 which is completely up to date. Both machines are running Windows 7 SP1 fully-up-to-date. . What I'm doing wrong at my local network set in place? Help please.

  • Satellite X 200-20 s - LAN does not work after BIOS update

    Hi all

I've updated the BIOS version 2.7 and NIC LAN just disappeared from my list of device. The wireless network card works fine however. When I plug the ethernet cable, the green light turns orange not, so I guess that it is not broken, as it worked fine before the BIOS update.

I tried different drivers lan Windows XP and still nothing. Any ideas please?

    I have Windows 7 x 64 installed.

LAN option is listed in the BIOS boot menu?

If you have tested with Win7 and WXP maybe you should do finally test and install recovery image original Toshiba that you got with your laptop and see what happen when you use the laptop with the factory settings.

Because it's not obvious what to uncheck, here is what I currently have checked in my system of work which should not cause a problem:

    KEEP THESE CHECKED:

  • Internet does not work on Windows 7, no drivers for the Wifi and LAN

    Original title: Windows 7

I used to have Windows 8 on my laptop. Well, so I've updated for Windows 10. Config my laptop wasn't as good, so it's slow. Recently, I installed Windows 7 (as it is known for the performance) somehow, the internet does not work. Missing the drivers for the wifi and lan. What should I do?

Well, as my readers usb and touch screen no longer work.

You have installed Windows 7 on a machine that is preinstalled with Windows 8, without checking first if the computer manufacturer supported and provided Windows 7 drivers for it.

If does not support or provide Windows 7 drivers for this, you should never have installed Windows 7 on this computer Windows 8 and we cannot help you.

    Reinstall Windows 8.

  • OSX Server caching does not work after update

It was low on my priority list, but the OSX Server that we run in the House for the caching seems to have stopped caching; from what I remember, it was related to the update software to 10.11.4 of what it was before, and server software everything that has been installed to 5.1. Updates both to the latest versions now have not helped. It of kind of frustrating, but all he puts in cache are now asking that makes for itself. No customer request is visible. It worked before.

There seems to be no useful diagnostic that I can find to establish why the hell it suddenly does not work.

Platform: Mac Mini, "the end of 2014", bought this year. OSX currently on 10.11.5; 5.1.5 Server

Network configuration: IP public addresses multiple; several subnets.

Clients do not use the same IP address as a server.

Full assignment of the IP of the site listed in _aaplcache._tcp TXT DNS records (plural - because I did it for the DNS records for each subdomain DNS LAN client) using the type prs; DNS is on Windows Server 2012R2. Any length of characters, because they were not specified during the installation of OSX Server cached the required DNS records.

No firewall is between the server and clients on the local network (only a L3 switch), but obviously, if the customer traffic leaves our network, it passes through a firewall. No change to the rule group since it worked finally.

The Mac Mini has an interface (with IP address and corresponding DNS record) in each subnet of the client (using virtual LANs), but it seems to register with the Apple servers using its main wired LAN IP (which can reach customers) with the Apple servers.

Mac Mini connects via gigabit ethernet.

Wireless connectivity is through a mix of HP MSM and Ubiquiti access points; no system seems to result in customer traffic.

My understanding of the protocols involved are something along these lines.

-OSX server registers with Apple, using its normal connection; transmits the local LAN IP address for the cache clients to use; can pass TXT DNS records to help "seed" of customers, or can use the parameter entry in the cache server configuration.

-Customers use the TXT DNS record to inform the global servers of Apple that they need the IP address of the server cache.

-Apple returns the local LAN IP address.

-The customer is for the server cache.

    -Profit.

I certainly see the first happening party - the Debug.log show apparently successful registration; the cache in the applet Server service is green - but no client request seems to happen.

Obscured address IP addresses are correct.

Things are green and just seem to.

Looks like he should be happy.

IPs are correct and correspond to the DNS records.

Help! What other steps can I take to diagnose - and trouble - this problem? The Apple Help documentation is not really very useful (I understand what he says), but he doesn't really give sysadmin level overview of what to do when he's not "just works".

Thanks in advance for all understand how to debug properly and fix this.

.. .clients can and collect software on the internet (that we want to avoid as much as possible).

Amount of updated data in cache is so small that I did it (reset button) in the case which has been randomly a question. No joy. Was previously more than 300 GB in size, across many types of content.

If it is not clear, the clients and servers using NAT, but different IP are used, depending on the subnet they come. He previously worked.
