• Number of SSL VPN - a weird

  I ran into an issue using SSL VPN to connect remotely to our society and I am the only one in question (which is good because it still works for everyone).  I've been tinkering with the profile editor Anyconnect trying to get work always based on Anyconnect and it seems that I watered something along the way.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the Anyconnect client, but it causes problems.  It seems locked my laptop where I can't on a network, like a customer of the NAC.  However, when I log on the Anyconnect site for my business, I get the following error:

  AnyConnect can confirm that it is connected to your secure gateway.  The local network cannot be trusted.  Please try another network.

  According to what I found on the Cisco site, it can be a certificate problem, but I get no ceritifcate error when I try to connect.  I'm puzzled.  I went through the registry to remove everything about Anyconnect, but he has not made a difference.

  Any ideas would be great.

  You may need to remove the profiles and preferences files that will be present even after uninstall.

  For the profile, delete the contents of this folder (Win XP):

  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client

  Remove the contents of these preferences:

  C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client

  Please try after removing all these files.

• Number of SSL keytool

  We have renewed our AC through verisign. Now our cfhttp HTTPS does not work.
  
  I imported the Cert again by using the keytool utility and verified using the option in the list, but still get the same error of connection.
  It is the failure of connection, the number of authentication error.

  I think I fixed it now. Necessary to run the keytool tool from the directory in which the original file of cacert, or it simply creates a new file of cacert.

• Win2k3 Server IIS SChannel event 36871 "a fatal error occurred when creating the SSL server credential information."

  To make a long story short, I went to use client software that I use a few times a week and it would not connect to the server, complaining not found or number of SSL.  When research various dcom, schannel errors errors in the event logs and a few others, I systematically over the last 24 hours cleared up the boot is so now clean (no time starting network on startup and no message on the service could not start).  It seems that something has happened a month ago after that the server crashed where at least the first DCOM messaged presented themselves, but everything has been working well until it didn't.  The dcom patches end up having to do with the ...\rsa\machinekeys (and the way that it) had a few "account unknown" in it, I cleaned everything that (at a time since I removed all items in this folder, but then put their subsequent return (by crushing all except 2 after creating a new certificate), had to reinstall virtual server and iis 6) , at some point as well.  In any case, I'm at the point where everything works (no event log errors/etc) from startup until you try to connect to the IIS 6 Server using https:... at this point, you get the event SChannel 36871 "a fatal error occurred when creating the SSL server credential information." (no additional information) is connected and the client browser cannot access the site (you can keep trying and it does not work but no event log entry more).  So that's where I'm sitting, http: works fine, https: No.  Certificate appears in the default Web site correct, said valid and possesses the private key, port 443 is there, all addresses by default, netstat shows port 443 same process id as the port 80.  I can't find a copy of SSLDiag do test to see if that prove something?

  So I need help what is not going to get this new job of fixing.  What should I do?

• ASA5500 - Essentials SSL and SSL Premium on the same platform?

  A make a BOM THAT and I just ask my self can we order on the platform of a single (for rxample 5510-SEC-BUN-K9)

  SSL Essentials license (the license is on the default platform we buy 250 ussers) and I need 50 user licenses them to be Premium.

  Can I purchase a license of thos two on the same platform and this will work?

  You cannot activate the essential SSL and SSL Premium on the same platform. You can't have that 1 or the other, not both.

  Essential SSL will give you that the maximum number of SSL VPN support on the platform, however, only for the complete tunnel mode AnyConnect.

  Premium SSL will give you the number of users purchased, however, it supports all flavors of VPN AnyConnect/SSL, IE: AnyConnect full tunnel mode, WebVPN (Clientless SSL VPN) and all the advanced functionality of SSL VPN.

  We have:

  1. Internal security server - not on the domain, IP address of the 10.121.125.110 and the external address of 209.68.96.26
     1. Installed SSL certificate for view.victorschools.org
        
     2. View.victorschools.org DNS entry to 209.68.96.26
        
  2. Broker server - the field, has internal IP address of the 10.121.127.107
     1. Installed SSL certificate for broker.vcs.local
        
     2. Broker.vcs.local DNS entry to 10.121.125.107
        
     3. View.victorschools.org DNS entry to 10.121.125.107
        

  The problem arises on two fronts:

  1. Portable professor who has installed the view client pointing at view.victorschools.org. Internally, that the DNS entry pointing to the broker server that has the broker.vcs.local cert. Unless the client is configured to check no certs, the connection will not work. When we try us immediately returns with a cert mismatch error.
     
  2. Personal devices - student charge the Customer View on a laptop or iPad and it points to view.victorschools.org. It works fine at home, but even once will not work on campus because there is an incompatibility of cert
     

  Can I solve this problem by changing a DNS entry and have view.victorschools.org point to 10.121.125.110 which is the internal IP address of the Security Server? Of course, this will make any student with a personal device point to our security at home or school server. I know we want internal devices to point to the broker and external clients to point to the Security server. Here is a discussion of the same thing, I feel less the number of SSL certificate.

  I know that a windows CA to generate certificates with Subject Alternative names (SAN). Can we generate a cert from our CA window for broker.vcs.local and view.victorschools.org and install it on the server broker to solve this problem?

  Replace the SSL on broker a SAN certificate.

  If you route everything through the Security Server, you create a single point of failure, not to mention a bottleneck in the network.

• confusion of SMTP

  Hi guys.

  I have several emails from several areas (that i own). I also pay for a server smtp service so I can send emails from my appropriate addresses.

  Oddly enough, my default e-mail address refuses to use its smtp server and attempts to use a very old I have not used for years (and it is not yet in the list of smtp servers).

  Do you have any idea how to get rid of?

  Do you mean that the old server does not appear as the main or one of the secondary servers in the e-mail for your default account settings? Are you sure that your server settings are correct number, especially SSL port required and authentication? If the Mail is really to remember the data which are nowhere in the e-mail settings, you may need to remove the accounts and recreate them from scratch.

• Get sync 1.1 installation error

  After you download the source and try to build it has reported a number of ssl errors. Online advice, I installed a few python packages that made the error to go away. (Wiping the local directory and restart after each error).

  Now, it gives me an error related to SQLAlchemy. It's even after a succesfull apt - get install python-sqlalchemy it seems to want a local version.

  The file does not exist, as indicated, however, SQLAlchemy - 0.7.10 - py2.7.egg - info exists in that directory, as does a subdirectory named sqlalchemy.

• SPA112 not able to enter webinterface

  When I use 38.0.5 Firefox or Internet Explorer 11.0.20 I get an error when I want to log on to the web page of my SPA112 (Version 1.3.5 (004) or the version before that, I'm not shure).

• ASA 5510 limit Session 2 Error Message

  In ASDM I am trying to set the maximum number of SSL Sessions.  According to the documentation by my Cisco ASA 5510 Cisco should withstand 250 concurrent SSL VPN sessions.  But if you check my screen shot you will see that my ASA does not allow more than 1 or 2!  What is happening with this?

  All ASA models (including the 5510), is compatible with only 2 connections VPN SSL factory.

  Indeed, the SAA can support up to 250 VPN SSL connections, but for that, you must purchase an additional license.

  You're not even close to have properly configured your e-mail account in Windows Live Mail.

  I don't know anything about your PunkCarter mail server, but I don't know any server that requires you to use the port 25025. What happens if you change 2525? It's a number with some servers of viable port.

  Technical issues do not belong in the forum Feedback response so I moved your post to the WIndows XP "Netwoking and online" Outlook Express forum where questions are handled.

  Outlook and Outlook Express are completely different products and are not related except for the names.

  The problem you describe product generally when you have not defined thte option to authenticate your outgoing SMTP server.  If you click on tools > accounts, select your account, then click Properties, you should see a Servers tab.  This tab is a check box labeled "my server requires authentication".  Check it out.  Then check the settings button to the right.  You'll see two radio buttons.  From the top, labeled 'Use same settings as my mail server outgoing' is generally the right to choose.
