Laptop Compaq nc6320 & SSD and Windows 7

Hello.
I need know nc6320 Compag:
-compatible SSD drives?
-Can I install Windows 7 on new SSD?

Thank you

I recommend that you read this thread in the business community where HP Expert Paul_Tikkanen deals with the upgrade a same laptop with a member there.

All the drivers that you need for Windows 7 are displayed in the thread.

There is also a discussion on upgrading to an SSD with the OCZ Vertex3 SSD in a thread here in the forum OCZTechnology.

OCZ SSDS are certainly my preference.

Crucial memory has a SSD 240 GB is that it guarantees is compatible.

I replaced my hard drive Windows 8.1 with a PNY 240 GB SSD and Windows 7 64-bit.  Everything worked very well! Installed all the drivers, everything has worked very well!  Restarted several times, everything worked fine!  Portable stop for the night, the next morning I turn on the laptop and get this error message:

I've traveled different repair procedures using the ERD Windows 7 without change.  I have reinstalled Windows 7 with SSD formatted as GPT drive, received the same error message:

I have reinstalled Windows 7 SSD formatted as MBR disk withs, received the same error message:

I removed the SSD to the laptop and placed in a desktop pc, pc works fine, no problem with the SSD.  SSD in laptop, got the same error message: "boot device not found, please install an operating system on your hard disk, hard disk 3F0".   I don't know where to go from here.

Okay, I'm running.  In the System Configuration UEFI clicked 'Load HP Factory Default keys', this restored "Secure Boot" who has restored the laptop as long as you work!  Thanks for the help.

  • I just got a Toshiba laptop reconfigured with WEBCAM and Windows Vista. When I logged on Skype, it says that it does not recognize any webcam. How can I activate my?

My laptop has a webcam, but Skype says that he does not have a webcam. It is disabled, and if so, how to enable it?

    Hello

    Close all programs and Skype.

Double-click Control Panel / Device Manager - Imaging - writing down of the brand and model of camera.
on this subject and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who are unable to do anything as MS
is far behind the pilots of certification). RIGHT click on the camera - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for the camera and the other related camera
software (if not more recent get the same).

Just you'd go to Toshiba Support and get the driver for your model laptop.

    Go to your model.
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp?NAV=download

Good time to get some other updates here.

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance!

    Hello

Glad you got it going... If I had to guess, it was very likely updates .net 3.5, which has caused the problem... or maybe, Net 4.5...

They require a process runs to complete their installation that seems to start running in the middle of updates remaining to try to install...

But this forum helped a lot with good advice on how to do, so if you have any recommendations on what I should install first, or the order of installation, please let me know.

Also, is there a quick way to completely disable the mouse pad?

    Thank you!

Intel Chipset utility must always be the first installed, then all the others in this category. Graphics would be my next choice mainly for aesthetics. Others can be installed in virtually any order.

I'm sorry that I don't know a quick way to disable the touchpad. I have no idea why HP has removed the button off / on for most of their laptops.

  • How can I install Windows XP on windows 7 laptop Compaq Presario CQ62-215DX?

I want to install XP on my laptop (laptop Compaq Presario CQ62-215DX) which has Windows 7... give me some advice please

You replace the startup disk in the BIOS cd. Then boot from the XP CD. And press a button when it tells you. However, he will wipe away Windows 7. So, if you want anything copy everything you want (with the exception of programs), before formatting the hard disk.

NOTE: XP has no drivers for most of whats on the system (LAN/Sound/player card etc.). So if that is the only computer you have, go to HP site for this laptop search, download drivers and copy them into something. Before you begin. Or you won't get back on the internet...

Also NOTE: If the disk hard in it is SATA, you will need to disable the AHCI in the BIOS (change it to IDE mode). Or XP will crash before you get to the configuration screen. Unless you download the SATA drivers, unzip / extract and add them when it says press F6 (on a floppy disk).

The XP CD does not have SATA drivers on it either. If you do not add the SATA drivers during installation, do not change this back to AHCI after installing XP. Or it will crash

In addition, make sure that you have a XP key. A key to windows 7 will not work

  • Printer Dell AIO 944 installed with my laptop Compaq (Windows Vista) will not be printed.

I had an old Compaq Office of four years who developed problems that would cost me more trouble that it's worth.  I had been printing it to a Dell 944, which I then installed in a new laptop Compaq with Windows Vista.  The installation seems to have been systematic and successful, but I can't get the Dell print.  The message I get is "Incorrect Port detected.  The current print job has been cancelled.  This printer is designed to work with USB cables only.  The current software setting is not set to USB port.  Make sure you use a USB cable (and) the printer are set to a USB port. "I followed the instructions to set the USB port, and it seems that the port is, in fact, enabled.  I know that USB cable works, because he worked with the old desktop computer.

    Hi jwfinnashville,

According to the Dell website, this can happen if the printer drivers are not installed properly.

On the Dell site, they suggest to install a fix to uninstall all the drivers printer completely from the computer, then restart the computer and then reinstall drivers from the Dell website and check out them.

Download the patch here to remove all printer drivers

    See also: http://en.community.dell.com/forums/p/19251369/19406642.aspx#19406642

Then download the printer drivers for Windows vista 32 bit from link here and check

For additional support, post your request in the Dell forums.

  • New computer laptop w / Virgin SSD: cannot get windows to load

I just bought a new Dell Inspiron Intel Core i7 (Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2-in-1). It came with a 500 gb HD, with windows 8 pre loaded. I had the store to swap the HD original and replace it with a white totally 1 TB SSD and assume that I would be able to install windows 7 from the installation CD original tmy.

The laptop does not come with a DVD installed, so I have to use a USB DVD drive, and it seems to work OK, but...

The windows installation disc is not recognized as a valid boot source (or no boot device found etc.). I can't find the disk and sought the disc, but startup files are not.

Then I created a bootable CD of my previous laptop with windows 7 installed and this is recognized and the laptop tells me windows files are loaded and a progress bar is displayed. But then the results in a blank screen, disk stops spinning and nothing happens.

I know that in the store they have changed some settings in my BIOS (he put the boot to the legacy mode; secure boot off). Are there other settings I should change to make it work?

OK problem solved. It was a combination of a laptop that can not be lowered the score of 8.1 for Windows 7, and a corrupt boot disk.

Solution: keep windows 8.1 for now and wait until 10. :-) Thanks for the help
