Laptop crashes when playing music

I have a Sony Vaio F2 series laptop PC

Intel Core i7 (3.1 GHz)
6 GB of ram
NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M
Drive BlueRay
This happens especially when I'm streaming music via beatport or play via itunes. The song gets little choppy, then suddenly the computer shuts down. He sometimes goes to a brief blue screen other that's just turns off completely. I ran a system restore and uninstalled norton and installed most of the security and he has always done, so I uninstalled and installed avast and it always does... Computer seems to work very well when on Skype. Suggestions, I think it might be a sound driver and nothing serious.

Hello

1. do you get an error message?

2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

I suggest you try these methods and check the status of the issue.

Method 1:

Keep the computer in a clean boot and check the status of the issue.

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem. Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service. After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7. http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Please, go to step 7 of the Kb to maintain the computer to a normal startup after you fix the problem.

Method 2:

Try to update the graphics card in Device Manager. If the driver is up-to-date, you can also check with the manufacturer of the video card for the latest available drivers that are compatible Windows 7. For more information about updating a driver in Device Manager, see the link below:

    Hello j.d.1882,

    1. you have the latest drivers installed for your graphics card?

I suggest that you update the drivers for the graphics card and check if the computer continues to crash.

In addition, I suggest that you download the dump files to check exactly what may cause the problem.

Athttp://skydrive.live.com using your Live ID and I will check:

    a. Click Start, select run, type '% SystemRoot%\Minidump' (without the quotes) in the search box and press ENTER.

b go to your desktop, right-click on it and create a new folder named "Dump".

    c. copy all the files in memory dump (it looks like Mini092003 - 01.DMP) in Minidump in this folder.

    d. right click on the folder of the image, click on "send to" and click on "compressed file (zipped).

    e. Please download the ZIP file.

  • Problems of slow performance in Vista when playing music with WMP 11

Whenever I'm playing music on WMP 11, my computer slows down briefly.

I assume this has something to do with my sound driver/card, but don't know what.

I use my PC sound card. I use the Logitech Z-5 speakers.

Please keep in mind that I have recently reinstalled Vista on this computer, and before replacing, I had no such problem. I currently use the same drivers I did then.

I have Vist Home Premium, 32-bit.

    Hi EugeneGluskin

    1. the music files that you play on the same computer or on a remote site?

    2. do you have the updated drivers for the sound card?

    3. What is the brand and model of the computer with sound card?

You can perform a clean boot and check if you are facing the same question to the clean boot. To perform the clean boot follow step 1 mentioned in the article below, and then try again check in the clean boot state -

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If the problem is resolved check which service non-Microsoft is the source of the problem; referring to article and following the other steps.
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

    c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    I hope this helps.

  • PC crashes when playing Dota 2.

Hi my pc crashes usually when playing Dota 2,

I checked the dmp files and they said it was caused by ntoskrnl.exe and/or ataport.sys.

I also checked the viewer of the event log that had several criticals under failure kernal and kernal PnP (warnings).

    Please ask anything necessary.

    (Here's the dmp files) https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=e3f9c63bed0a7a4a%21114

It's maybe the problem is the other way around then. Even if the majority of the dump files point

to the HARD disk, the problem may be more due to errors of ntoskrnl.exe ?

  • Laptop crashes when you use the CD player

A few days ago my laptop started occasionally crashing and restarting when I use the CD player. He only made 2 or 3 times but I've seen this happen with a previous (non-toshiba) laptop and it ended up happening all the time, even when not using the CD player.

Is this due to overheating? Is that what I can do to sort without having to send it for repair?

    Thank you!

What computer Toshiba laptop do you have exactly?

Have you tested if this strange question would pass after the installation of the new OS from the Toshiba Recovery CD?
I think that this should be done to make sure if this question isn't related software

If this issue always happen after using recover CD, then you must contact the ASP in your country for a control of the laptop.
Possibly defective equipment could be responsible for these accidents

  • Slow laptop only when playing online games

    Hello
So I noticed that my laptop has become suddenly very slow BUT! Slow down its only when I play online games, it's going to be ok for the 1st 5 minutes but after that it will really slow down, his strange since I can watch videos on youtube, etc and surf the web without problem. But if I try the game it will be slow.
My specs are: Intel (r) Core (TM) i3 m350 2.27 GHz 2.26 GHz CPU
RAM: 4 GB with 3.80 GB usable
and the type of system is the 64-bit operating system
    I have windows 7
And no, it's not a connection problem.
Also my CPU usage when you play the game will no more than 54% (mainly bounces between 23% and 40%). and my ram is stable enough to 53%

  • laptop crashes when printing

I have the new laptop, windows 7 64 bit. Photoshop CS4 training for go to crash and blue screen when printing. After a while I can't print from any program. When I remove adobe, everything works fine. What to do?

Title of the message was edited by: Brett N

Windows 7 is very favorable CS4. It is not the concern here. Look for this link.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/details.aspx?type=software& p = Adobe % 20Photoshop % 20CS4 & v = Adobe & uid = 11 & l = en & pf = 1 & pi = 7 & os = 64-bit

You can try to run if Compatibility Mode to see if that fixes anything.

Right-click on the file Photoshop.exe Properties > compatibility. Select "run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2)

  • Laptop crashes when you use PCI-6132 and a box of magma

    Hello

I use a laptop with a magmabox (Cardbus connection) to accommodate a card DAQ of NOR-PCI-6132. When I'm data acquisition the laptop freezes sometimes and has to be restarted. Anyone who is familiar with such a problem?

I did not have this problem when the DAQ card is in an office with a regular PCI slot. So, I guess that the problem is related to the magmabox.

    Nick Wagner

    Hi Nick,

The problem could very well be linked to the magmabox, but before that can be determined, I need more information about your hardware.  I already know about the PCI-6132, but I don't know anything about your laptop or magmabox cardbus connection.  Can you tell me the manufacturer and the model number of your laptop and the magmabox so I can check their specifications? Thank you.

    Best wishes

  • Windows 7 crashes when playing FPS

My current version is Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit

whenever I'm playing online FPS games such as the Alliance of Valiant arms, Combat Arms or Wolfteam, the computer will crash after about 5-10 minutes of play. so far I've updated all my direct x drivers, my motherboard bios and everything else I could think. I tried compatibility mode and as administrator as well, my UAC is disabled. I tried to run games without my antivirus active so nothing works. All the other games that I play online like MMO however continue to work, I have also run on the high standard these games include the STO, the Sun and Allods and LoL<-- i="" can="" play="" these="" for="" hours="" without="" crashing="" but="" whenever="" i="" play="" an="" fps="" my="" computer="" just="" dies="" and="" forces="" a="">

    Any solution would be great.

    MY PROFILE ARE:
    ASUS Maximus III of Furmula
    Intel i7 860
    4 GB kingston hyperx
    ATI radeon 5850

    Viper2550,
Looks like you have to check with GameGuard support with this issue.  They have a patch\fix for that matter.  However, I can't find any listing of GameGuard or nProtect on the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.  It is possible that it is not fully compatible with Windows 7.
