I used to be able to do it, but not anymore. When I plug my camera into the usb port, it is said "a moment" and stays there. Also I do not see the camera in my computer (devices removable devices) when the camera is on. I have the XP version.

  • Lots of screen on laptop HP Pavilion G6 series problem.

Whenever I try to run something in fullscreen (game, virtual or other machine) that does not run in native resolution (1366 x 768), the application is centered on the screen and the edges are empty (depending on resolution). For example, if I run the app in 1024 x 768, I have an empty space on the left and right of the screen. Is this supposed to be? It really sucks that something won't go full screen if I run it in full screen.

Normally screen should be tight, but if there is no information in app how it should be done then it will keep just the ratio.

  • Can put us upgraded processor on laptop IBM ThinkPad X201T?

I wanted to know if it will be possible to upgrade the CPU, I have no need to do know, i7-620LM being sufficient for me, but say in 1 or 2 years.

Is this possible? or that the CPU is soldered to the motherboard?

    Thank you

    Hello dupain,.

The CPU is soldered to the motherboard, so you cannot move just the CPU.

  • I bought an IBM Thinkpad at an auction and it says I have a counterfeit copy of Windows XP is installed.

I bought this laptop IBM thinkpad at an auction. He says that I have a counterfeit Windows xp copy, it's on this computer, when I bought it. I can't afford to buy a new copy of windows xp, I've heard that if I told where it came from or who made it, I could get a complementary copy of windows all I can tell you is I got it in an auction house. I need your help. just want my computer work as it is.

    original title: counterfeit Windows XP

Hope that you do too for the ThinkPad. That's why they say 'caveat emptor '.

Your PC has a COA sticker on it? If so, this will help a little. At least, it will offer proof you have a license to run Windows XP (it contains the unique product key as well).
  • Problem with IBM Thinkpad X 40 (disconnection |) WiFi)

    Hi all

I use IBM ThinkPad x 40 with XP Pro SP3 x 86. I have the latest drivers for my laptop:

    Wireless driver LAN 2100 3B: driver - 02.08.2006 date; Version - 1.2.5.37
LAN Driver 1000 MT Mobile connection: driver - 20.08.2008 date; Version - 8.10.3.0
My router is Linksys WRT 320N, using new firmware: Ver.1.0.05 (Build 2) from 14/12/2011

Note: The problem (the issue of sectioning) only occurs during downloding, video streaming, only when the connection is fully "charged".

I use my router with many other features wireless (also ' i' devices) and I do not suffer the same problem.

I hope that you will be able to help me.

    Kind regards

    saketo

    Hi Alexander,.

I don't think that it's such a compatibility problem, as far as the card in the x 40 is a speed card B.  By today's standards, it is quite slow.  Don't get me wrong, I love my x40s.  But, one of my friends had a speed card B in it and she would lose the connection on a regular basis.  I put a map of 2200 BG in it and had no more problems with the connection and the download speed has increased significantly.

Edit: Your 40 x can also draw a 2915ABG wireless card.  Scroll the Maintenance Manual of material for list items and there is one for Europe.

Here is a link to the Manual of Maintenance of equipment .  Page 81 shows the wireless card.  It is very easy to change, only 2 clips and 2 antennas, and these cards are real cheap these days.

Or, you can just use a USB wireless adapter to connect with.

One thing you can try if you are using xp has to go into Device Manager, right click on the wireless adapter and click Properties.  Click the Advanced tab. Make sure the transmission power is set to the highest and feeding management is the highest.

If you use the Intel Proset software, make sure the Intel throughout the improvement has the highest value.

  • I started having problems with the wireless mouse and the carpet of my laptop - Lenovo ThinkPad T420 mouse.

Original title: right click on the mouse itself activating

I borrowed a USB to a person at work and I started having problems with the wireless mouse and the carpet of my laptop - Lenovo ThinkPad T420 mouse. The left click of two devices works normally, however, sometimes she does not respond to clicks and it takes a few seconds to work. The left button was constantly starts to turn on, as if he was stuck. After that I hit Alt + Tab and modify windows it stops for a few moments and starts at a later date. I havo not found a specific condition or a combination of keys that may trigger the fault.

I read a few posts on discussion forums, but all say that it could be a hardware problem, which I think is not, because both devices have the same problem and I'm sure it all started with the insertion of the borrowed memory stick. I scanned the readers to help Symantec's EndPoint Protection and installed Microsoft Security Essentials and performed a full scan, but found nothing. I even restored the system, but the problem remains.

Should I get a different antivirus? How can I find the cause so I can find a better targeted solution?

Try to install the drivers from this link and check.

  • IBM Thinkpad with XP Home Edition preinstalled but no XP installation CD. Will need to re - install XP from CD after planned hard drive upgrade. How can I create a CD to install XP from the installed system?

Hi, I bought an IBM Thinkpad with XP Home Edition pre-loaded in 2005 (the XP key sticker is on the bottom of the laptop), but did not receive an XP installation CD - I understand, it is a common practice. I want to improve the internal hard drive (for a bigger) then you will need to re - install XP from CD. They tell me that there is a way to create the XP (on the CD burner) installation installation CD but have no idea how. I can't imagine I'm the only person to have had this problem. Can you tell me where I can find the instructions how to do this please? Any help is welcome. Thank you very much.

There are many cloning utilities, but I recommend Acronis True Image. You can clone your hard drive, then use TI to the image of your system and to make incremental backups. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • The IBM Thinkpad T-40 of work with this power adapter: 83: 6339

One of my friends had an old AC adapter his garage to a true old IBM Thinkpad laying around and gave it to me. The reference number of the AC adapter is 83 H 6339. My wife bought an IBM Thinkpad T-40 who only has the docking station with power but does not connect directly to the laptop. I wanted to know if this old AC adapter would be compatible with the T-40 (2373-72U). I don't want the hook upwards and the chance to spoil anything either, but I can find no record on what types of this adapter is supposed to work with laptops.

    hankinsd, welcome to the forum,

I would not use it, it's an adapter sector 56W and too 'low '. The T4 series requires an adapter of sector 72W.

    Hope this helps

  • How to replace the Ethernet adapter internal of an IBM ThinkPad T60p

Several IBM ThinkPad T60p. unfortunately I have a ThinkPad shows in the BIOS "(internal network) MAC address: 00 00 00 00 00 00' and sometimes ' 02 00 00 00 00 00". The Green LED next to the Ethernet connector is also dark if this laptop is powered (adapter attached) and a network cable is connected. That's why no Wake on LAN is possible. To my surprise, the network card works under Windows and there is also a MAC address. Wake on LAN is also possible in Windows.

Because all the BIOS settings and also the BIOS version are exactly the same on all the other ThinkPads IBM T60p I think there is a problem with my internal Ethernet card.

Anyone know if it is possible to replace this internal Ethernet card? I ask because I also have an IBM ThinkPad T60p, which is broken and that's why I intend to Exchange Ethernet adapters internal if possible.

I think that they are integrated on the MB, so it's not possible

  • IBM Thinkpad Z60t help

Well, I reinstalled windows xp pro sp 2 on my grandfather's old ibm thinkpad models Z60t, because he gave it to me and I didn't need half of the stuff on the hard drive. So I reinstalled xp and I do not have driver disks or backup discs. I went on the Lenovo site and tried to download the drivers on my desktop and transfer them to my laptop. I reinstalled the wireless driver but it is not working properly. It won't let me connect to the internet. In addition, it doesn't let me put the computer on standby.

    Help, please.

Install update of the system from here:
