  Upgrade memory requires the removal of the motherboard so it would be foolish to do until you are ready to do all the work.

  May I ask why if you need a super-powerful laptop just purchased a kind of average lower of the spectrum? It's always much more expensive try to upgrade a cheap laptop computer than to just buy a high-end establishment at first.   There are two different things and upgrade CPU for laptops is not easy all this is complicated, as the motherboards are designed only for the specific model laptop.
