LaserJer Pro 200 M351nw: residues of toner to print business cards

When I print on bond paper, I get a decent, crisp image. But when I print on card stock thre is a powdery residue on the paper. I can drag it with a handkerchief and get a significant amount of powder on the tissue.

I remember reference to paper stock that is sutiable for color lasers, but I can't find it all in stock business cards anywhere I looked. It is apparently a special paper.

I went through the type of paper in the printer properties. The only problem is when I print business cards. Is currently trying Avery 5876 and 8876 and Office Depot 3700-R. The 5867 and 3700-R are labeled for use in color lasers. The 8876 is inkjet. Same negative results with all.

All proposals/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @1071 ,

I see by your post only when printing on cards, you get powdery residue on the paper.
I want to help you solve this problem.

You have the Laserjet LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw?  How can I find my model number or product number?

Usually, when there are residues, burrs, tasks of toner left on the pages is caused by the paper used or the type of paper selected in the printer driver. You already tried different types of paper and had the same results.

The Avery 5876 you tried are Laser printers.

It is recommended to use bright white paper or paper that is designed for use in Laser printers.
Don't use paper that is designed only for use with ink jet printers.
Progress of paper is porous and for printers inkjet that absorbs ink in the paper.
Paper Premium isn't for Laserjet printers. Chemicals and the ink soaks into the paper and takes more time to dry.
Use paper that is not too rough. Generally using smooth paper translates into a better print quality.

I have provided the specifications of paper for this model.

Specifications for HP LaserJet Pro 200 M251n and M251nw color printer.

Up to 200 g/m2 (110 lb. index) cards

I have a document with a few steps to try to see if this will solve the problem.

Troubleshooting print quality problems.

What is the weight of the cardboard?

What parameter for the type of paper do you use?

If you need help, let me know.

Have a great day!
Thank you.

All of a sudden, I have red streaks, printing on the right side of my documents. I tried using the cleaning page and it doesn't seem to help. I also have small black dots in various parts of the document which keep appearing on my documents. Cleaning that does not either.

It seems to be a residue of red on the sponge roll just before the paper out of the printer. How can we clean this roller or must it be replaced to correct? I used my vacuumn to try to clean it up, but it doesn't do any good.

    Need help.

    Hey @AlaskaMariner,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have a problem of magenta print quality printing of your color HP LaserJet Pro 200 M251nw of the printer. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Thanks for the troubleshooting steps you have already tried before reaching out for support, including.

On this model of printer there no zones in the product that you can clean it manually. The only method supported this printer paper path cleaning and area of the cartridge is running the cleaning page. You may need to run the cleaning a few times page to fix this.

Sometimes red streaks can be caused by a low toner cartridge. When toner is low, it can gather in some areas inside the cartridge and create a "streak". I can have you hold the cartridge by the sides and shake it gently from left to right to redistribute the toner. Once the cartridge has been shaken, reinstall the cartridge. Once your cartridge is re-installed, please test print to see if the problem of dragging is still happening.

If the problem persists you can please click here for the steps of quality supported by your printer. "Once the document of support opens please run through the steps to"check toner cartridge status"", "make the diagnosis of additional print quality" and "inspect the drum unit for damage".

If the quality issue persists you may need to try a new HP authentic to verify whether this problem is caused by a magenta cartridge faulty cartridge or the printer.

The black dots that you see are often caused by a dirty paper path roller or fuser on your printer number. As mentioned previously, the only way to solve a dirty paper path would be to run several pages of cleaning. A defective fuser unit would lead to a replacement of the entire unit.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

    Hello

Update the latest firmware for the printer, which should solve this.

Use the next tool if it is connected with a USB key:

  • LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw: laser jet pro 200 m251nw of color do not print after installation

After having trouble with an old printer, I decided to move to a faster, apparently better model purchased in a big box store.  I set up the printer according to the instructions, connected successfully to my network wi - fi and started to install the driver with the drive on my laptop, which is also a more recent HP.

Everything installed perfectly, but does not pass the test print.  After trying all available on the HP site troubleshooting, (turned off, disconnected, reconnected, fuel up to... uninstall, download a driver specific to windows 8.1, reboot... printing reports of wireless network test and reports configuration... Disabling 3rd party firewalls, reboot and reinstall...) Everything says it is correctly installed, the printer is displayed correctly in the control panel and is defined as the default value.  When I try to print anything good, the screen on the printer briefly flashes 'impression', then goes back to the homescreen without even a glance.  Seconds later, my phone tells me that there is an error.

I was fed up, and HP Print and Scan Doctor gave me no indication of potential problems.  I would like a customer service representative or technician to contact me to fix this problem as soon as POSSIBLE, I need this printer for my small business and have lost a whole day trying to make it work.

    Hey @getnirritated!

    Thank you for posting back!

Here is a list of settings for the router company to make sure that the router is configured for a printer wireless networking:

~ Network name and password need to have no SPACES or punctuation
~ Must be using WPA security
    ~ 128-bit encryption type
~ Double broadcast wireless b/g/n (printer connect only to g.)
~ MAC filter should be disabled
~ The multicast must be enabled
    ~ Hello must be enabled
~ The value dual band 2.4 Ghz
~ The firewall settings should be there by default, settings or the value of lower security
~ Please that the following ports are not blocked:
    The incoming (UDP) ports: 137, 138, 161, 427 (iPad, 80, 443)
    Outgoing (TCP) ports: 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500 (iPad 5222, 5223)

I hope this helps to solve the problem!  Please post again and let me know how it goes!

  • New Color LaserJet Pro 200 MFP M276n gives the message "printer is off-line.

Hi, I have install and use this printer last week, no problem with printing.  Today it tells me that the printer is offline, and documents to sit in the queue without printing.  I am running Windows 7 on the laptop and the printer is connected via a USB cable. It is an office of a person, so I'm the only user of the computer and the printer.  Any suggestions?

Thanks for your comments.  I ended up ringing the help desk.  I think that print driver software had been corrupted, as it started printing when we tried to re - charge print drivers.  Hope that this kind of thing does not happen too often.  Too much stress!

  • LaserJet pro 200 color mfp: how to stop printing garbage

Is there a way to stop the printer from printing waste?  Unfortunately, when you install a new system, the printer was sent to garbage, it would print 1 line of gibberish on each page of what appeared to be hundreds of pages.  I tried cancel documents in win7, restart the computer, turn off the printer, then press cancel.  Nothing seemed to work except by pressing the batch ' button sssssssssssssssssss cancel time.  I'll still put up new system, and fear that this may happen again.  Thanks in advance for the help.

When you turn off the printer, all documents that are in the memory of the printer get out, however, if the printer has not sent a message to the computer that a document is finished printing it remains in the printq printers and try to print whenever the printer communicates with the computer. On the computer, you will need to go to the printer and click twice on the icon, and click then on what is the impression which will reveal the printq of all elements waiting to be printed. Just right-click on each item and cancel printing until the q is empty.

  • LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw: parts of Documents Print not

When I try to print some documents, parts of them do not print. For example, I tried to print letters in a grid and the grid printed, but the letters do not have. It was created in Microsoft word. I tried to print by there and then save it as a PDF and print it through Adobe and it would not print the letters, so be it. I've also had this happen with other documents in the past. My printer is connected to a USB port.

  • Laser Jet Pro 200 M2 MFP color: stopcock on printer laser jet pro 200 alerts

How to stop printing alerts "beep".

    Hi DerekNCR,

Thank you for explaining that to me.

I don't know why the printer is beeps sounds every time that you try to print. The printer should just do normal noises when printing or treatment, but not a beep sounds.

You have the printer connected to a UPS power?

I heard of this printers causing to make beeps sounds. Weird I know!

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

The printer has only Fax sound volume in the options screen to change. If you have a fax cable connected to the printer, unplug it to see if it is the culprit.

    • The alarm volume
    • Ring volume
    • Phone line Volume

  • LaserJet Pro 200 M276NW color does not print more than once; application freezes

Hello.  I had a problem with Laserjet Pro 200 color M276NW my family when printing from my desktop Windows 7 (64 bit) for quite awhile.  The first time I print a document after starting my computer, it prints the entire document very well.  However, the print jobs will simply freeze the program that sent them (for example Outlook, Opera, etc.) on a screen ' print the page of.  Also, I can't print a test page in Windows when the first task is completed.  I finally realized that it probably has something to do with the spooler service in Windows, or in the print queue.  When I look in the queue after printing the first document, it shows that the paper in it, but the new job that froze my app does not appear.  After I restarted my computer, I can print a document more before I have to restart again.

The printer is networked on our home network; It is not connected to any computer via USB, and in my opinion, is the connection to the ethernet router.  My computer is connected to our network via a wireless connection.  I tried to restart the spooler, enter the IP address of the printer in my web browser (which works fine and shows the right page), and everything else listed in the Help article.  Try to open the printer properties in devices and printers does nothing.

To complicate, the printer won't even print the first work since I got on my computer and I tried this today.  Also, I got exactly the same problem on my laptop, which also used Windows 7 and connected to our home network wireless. The laptop now has Linux on it instead. I tested several printing on it earlier and they print very well.

My father, who has a wired connection to the router, told me that it is able to print more than one job very well.  I just had my brother (who also has a wired connection) print two different documents, and it has worked very well.  This leads me to believe that there is somehow something to do with the Wi - Fi computer assigned to the router, in combination with Windows 7, apparently.

Moon Raker, starting with the sounds like it is a driver problem. I want to start to be sure that deleting the software and relocation happened in the best way possible. I want you to follow my steps, I can be sure that we start both on the same page.

  • LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw: Toner

I just replaced my HP LaserJet CP1215 with color HP LaserJet Pro 200.

The used CP1215 of toner in the CB540 series cartridges.  I still have unused capacity in them.  The M251nw uses the CF210 series cartridges.  They look the same.  Can I use the CB540 instead of the CF210?

The cartrdiges CF210 and CB540 are not interchangeable. You will need to CF210a or high capacity CF210x series as it is stated on the Site of HP SureSupplycartrdige.

  • LaserJet Pro 200 MFPM276nw: toner smudges

A new Laser Jet Pro 200 bought several months ago; all very well with the cartridges supplied with the printer.

Had to replace the black cartridge after about 2 months without any problems.

I come to the point where a change of the cartridge was necessary for color cartridges - this in part for the nagging messages on the low toner level.  Swapped all three and the cyan cartridge is now Burr toner everywhere on the page.  Thought something was wrong with the printer.  Replaced the new with the old one - good cyan cartridge.  The new number of return to and even one.

I ran 30 pages through the printer with the same result.  These are genuine HP cartridges.

For an example, see the attachment.

    Please help.  Thank you!

    1-800-334-5144

When it asks for the product category says "laserjet".

then it will ask for the model number & say "M276.

explain what is happening to the assigned technology, and it will generate a case - ask you to print a configuration page and supplies status page and should send you a replacement. You will get a return label with your replacement, and you probably need to put these reports with your faulty cartridge. It happened, but rarely.

  • HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color MFP FAX answering machine vs M276nw

We have the following MFP: HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw

Our office has a phone line to be shared between the phone and FAX (M276nw). The phone is a phone single line of integrated with a digital answering machine Panasonic KX-TG7531 model. I can't seem to find the right combination of settings for ringtone for the phone and the FAX that allows callers to leave a voicemail without the FAX modem tones interfere when the caller leaves a voice message. It's as if the fax does not recognize that the answering machine picked up and he continues to make sounds of modem. The tones are saved as well as the message of the caller's voice, which makes the message difficult to understand. In most cases, the caller simply hangs up without leaving a message (we've heard talk about this later).

Please tell us how to implement. Thank you!

Furthermore, the HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw replaced a MFP from brother, but the Brother FAX has worked with the same phone from Panasonic.
