LaserJet 5000: LaserJet 5000 N Mac

This printer has always been on my small business network, but all of a sudden and without change apparent to the establishment, is not printing.

Once I sent to print the following message:

The printer does not exist or is not available at this time

I deleted the printer in the list in the system preferences, but then was not available in the list of possible to add in.

Any tips?

See you soon

In fact, the next thing to do is look at the IP address assigned to the printer and see if it is a manual or a DHCP address.

So, you want to look at the IP address of your PC and make sure that something happened to restore the jetdirect where it has an incompatible IP address at this time.

The first three numbers of the IP for the PC to the printer should be the same, i.e. numbers separated by periods

  • HP Laserjet MFP M225dw: Mac can't see MFP HP Laserjet 225w

My Mac Airbook (Yosemite, worm 10.10.3) worked very well with my HP printer MFP M225DW until about two weeks ago. It's all about my wireless network, and everything worked fine for the last year. I not made any changes to the printer, computer, or your network when the problem started, the computer saw the printer from the printer and Scanner funcdtion. The printer says it was online and available, but it is not one of the jobs I tried to print print. I tried to delete the printer, thinking I might add and who could solve the problem. Now, he doesn't see any of the printer. I checked and the printer and the Mac are on the same network. The printer worked very well for Mac from my wife, who is on the same network. It's only my Mac which can not see the printer. Can you help me?

    Hey @RJVezza,

I'm very happy to hear that your HP Laserjet works fine now!

It is good to have a firewall running on your Mac to block potential threats to access your system. Therefore, you can add HP as an exception in the firewall to allow your HP Laserjet full print and scan access, while keeping your computer protected.

    1. click the Apple and select System Preferences

    2. Select Security & Privacy

    3. Select the firewall tab

    4. Please turn ON your firewall

    5. then, click on firewall Options

    6. make sure that the box next to block all incoming connections is unchecked.

    7. make sure the automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connection is checked.
  • Resolution of printing on HP LaserJet 1606dn on Mac?

    In the Forum:

I use HP LaserJet 1606dn on an Apple Mac Pro system 10.6.8.  The print driver instructions are source of confusing when trying to set the resolution.  I think that 'Standard' means 600 dpi and "FastRes 1200', 1200 dpi.  Is this correct?  I think that these are the only dpi settings available on the HP 1606dn and there seems to be no option for further settings dpi, 300 dpi or other custom settings.  Am I right about this limitation?

  • LaserJet Pro cp1025nw MAC OS 10.8 wireless configuration

I have a new HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw color printer, an iMAC running OS 10.8, an iPad and iPhone.

I configured the printer very well via USB port of the iMAC.  I can print from the computer, but I can't leave my iDevices.  I understand that I can no longer use the CD that came with the printer, or the last download of HP to set up the wireless or install the new firmware because I get the "install HP' can not open because he...» "error.  So I have three questions 1. How can I configure the wireless on the HP printer using my iMac running 10.8, 2. How can I activate Apple's AirPrint and 3. How to install the latest firmware (ver. 20120130) in my printer using MAC OS 10.8.  Your help would be great.

None of the options I found in HP forums allowed me to configure my printer wireless using MAC OS 10.8. I've been by the dint of borrow a laptop running windows 7.  I plugged in the wireless, used the disk supplied with the printer to install on the network, downloaded the upgrade of farm and installed it. All my apple and iDevices computers see the printer. It works like a charm.

  • Configuration without wire - HP Laserjet P1100w with Mac OS 10.7.5

    Ok

I have the most recent updates of software through my Mac. I am connected via USB but unable to connect via Wifi.

    What is going on?

    Hi @rkcampbell,

By your post, I see that you cannot set up the printer on the wireless network. I can help you.

Make sure that Safari is set as default browser. (sometimes the SAP will not open if it is not set by default)

Open Safari, at the top, select the Safari menu, select Preferences, general, as a default value.

Reset the printer first to clear the previous network settings.
Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
(hold down the x key and when the printer makes a noise to let go of taken)

Check the name of the driver that is installed by the printer. Make sure that it shows just the name of the printer.
Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Officejet 6500)

If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.

    Check your network encryption type.

Go, go to the Apple/system preferences/network/click on the button advanced/double click on the name of the network. (watch the WEP or WPA)

    Check the network password.
In the Apple menu, click on Go, selection of applications, utilities, Keychain Access, double-click the name of the network,
Check the show the password box, type your Mac password to see.  (some networks have a password shortcut configuration)

And then double-click the P1102w printers & scanners.

    Open the utility.

    Click Printer Setup.

    Click Config to HTML.

This should open the Web built-in to the printer server.

    Click the network tab.
Click on wireless in the list on the left.
    Under Communication Mode, click Infrastructure.

Select your network SSID from the list of available network names (SSID), then click on the< button="" so="" the="" network="" name="" moves="" over="" to="" other="">
In the Safe Mode pop-up menu, under authentication, click WEP, WPA/WPA2 or open. Your selection depends on which wireless security protocol using your network.

Make sure that you select hexadecimal or alpha according to your password. (very important)

    Apply the settings.

In the confirmation box (changes have been registered), click OK.

You should get a solid blue light on the printer shortly.

All we have to do is remove the USB driver and add the network driver.

    Click on the Apple.
    Click on System Preferences.

    Click the Printers & Scanners.

Select the printer, and then click the sign - to remove the printer. (USB driver)

    Unplug the USB cable.

Then click on the + sign and select the printer from the list and click Add. (Hello P1102w)

    Test the printer.

If you have problems with the opening of HTML configuration, then perform the following steps:

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu, click on Go, computer, MAC hard drive, library, Printers, HP, LaserJet, click the folder for your printer, click browser EWS / config HTML, click on the network tab, click on wireless on the left and fill out your information. (Make sure infrastructure is selected) Apply the settings.

Then, unplug the USB cable and remove the USB driver and add the network printer. Make sure that this shows that the name of the printer.

    Test the printer.

Please provide detailed results if you're still having problems.

    Good day!

  • HP LaserJet P1006 and Mac running OS Yosemite

I can't get my desktop Mac to recognize my LaserJet P1006 since update today in Yosemite.  Help!

    Hello @JaneCat,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you want to install your Laserjet P1006 Pro on your new Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite operating system. However, currently there is no driver because of the age of your product.

The only option would be to try to use the Apple Software Update to see if it recognizes your product at all.  However, currently HP no evidence that your product has any driver for Mac OS X 10.10 support.

If you want to try the mode of installation of your product Apple software updates, you can find detailed instructions in the following document:

HP LaserJet - update install the HP for OS X 10.7 and later versions

Yet once, it is not guaranteed to work.

Please let me know if these steps don't resolve your problem. Good luck!

  • Drivers HP LaserJet 1020 for Mac OS x 10.7 Lion

    Hello

    I'm adding LaserJet 1020 Mac OS x 10.7 (Lion).

According to this page , this printer is supported by Apple and its driver comes with OS. But when I add the printer in the "Print & Scan' it says that the driver for this printer is NOT available at Apple.

Does anyone know how to use this printer on MacOSX?

    Thank you

    Alexander

The insistence on the part of HP the 1020 has never supported on Mac is total nonsense. The Laserjet 1020 has been announced and sold as being compatible with Mac. I bought mine from an authorized retailer of Mac and still have the original box with the 'Compatible Mac' sticker on this subject. I have been running the 1020 with my iMac G5 for 5 years and never had any problem of support until I bought an iMac OS X Lion last week. The refusal to support this product is nothing more than a grab for money to force users to buy new equipment, despite owning a printer otherwise fully functional.

Fortunately, you can run the 1020 on Lion with the 1022 driver. Follow the instructions at the top of the following link and read the extra step for Lion in the #63 comment. Printer driver use the 1.3 1022 and you should have no trouble to get your printer to work.

USB to parallel adatpers are the blind.  Best suggestion I can give is to buy a direct jet EIO card from ebay.  Model 600N, 610N and coming 615N work are very expensive.  Install the card in the printer with the power off and connect to your router or switch, and then reset the cold of the printer by pressing the green button while turning on the printer until cold reset appears in the menu of the printer.  Release and wait for the printer to come on loan.  Wait about 2 minutes for the printer obtain and ip address and see if the MAC can automatically discover the printer.  If she can very well and she not print a printer configuration page and the use of the ip address to load the printer on Mac.

  • LaserJet 4500 on Mac 0SX... help.

    Hi all

I have a Laserjet 4500 dinosaur which I'm trying to understand how to operate on my G5.  It doesn't have a USB port.  I would avoid using a router if possible. If this is the only way, I'm going to plug and unplug the device according to the needs, but I prefer a direct connection.

Maybe I could make it work somehow with the network cord

I have a Powermac G5, OSX 10.4.11.   At present, the network port is connected to a modem DSL from Qwest.

Could someone guide me through how to do it please?  I tried different things in the past and do not now remember what they were, but the end result is that I could never work.  At one point, a long time ago, he acknowledged, on my laptop, when I was able to get them all in network. I don't know how, now.  But then it stopped working.  However, my laptop is old, Win 2000 and I never use it.  I need to be able to print directly on the Mac, since that's what I'm getting.

Help, please. I tried for over a year to operate.  I've posted on several forums of the printer, nothing helps.

    Thanks in advance.

Edit - since it is a network printer and which seems to create problems with get to recognize, I'm going to make this post in the forum to network printer.
    Thank you

My first suggestion would be to buy a low-cost hub and turn the printer and the Mac on the same network.  Well, the question would be that your printer then get an IP from the LAN and be on the external web.  A router would be a much more practical solution.  Something with a wide AREA network and multiple LAN ports.  Then the DSL modem would connect the port WAN Mac and printer to two LAN ports.  Since most routers will distribute internal IP to the LAN via DHCP addresses and address translation allows to share the common WAN IP address, you should be good to go.  This is an additional cost, but also the most effective way.  This also gives you opportunities for future expansion.  Add another printer, PC, DVR, game system etc...

    Hello

I assume you are using the USB connection.

While the product is connected to your Mac, click the Apple, then software update.

Be sure to select and install the HP Printer Drivers 2.8 update.

Once the update is installed successfully, in System Preferences > print & scan and click on the Plus sign to add the printer.

If the driver update fails to install in next software update so manually install the package below:

Now try adding the printer once more.
