Latest version print preview freezes for some users

I don't want to blame you, you do a great job trying to provide us with a free full browser.

BUT there are too many problems from one version to the other.

Problem: print preview blocks (not responding), and Firefox crashes. It is with the latest version of Firefox. Subject: config indicates that the user has the print.printer for his Xerox printer and margins are set correctly.

Print Preview does not freeze if a do a "run as Administrator". I have a feeling you're going to tell me that it is a problem of user profile and that I should destroy the user's profile.

But honestly, this is a nightmare, your whole profile thing is an unstable piece of crap that crashes randomly quite too often. And as always, the only solution is to tell the user to manually back up (copy/paste) all its bookmarks because there is 99% repair user profile will destroy everything, and that the resumption of the process will be 100% fail because he always did when I had to deal with the problems of Firefox.

Is there another solution that to spend 3 hours uninstalling firefox, resettlement, pathetically attempt to recover the previous profile just to realize this won't work (because it 100% never does experience), just to see the same shit happens again 3 weeks later, after another of 53 version changes rebuild?

I tell my clients to deal with IE because there are way way way fewer problems with firefox and permanently to give up firefox support for my customers. Too much time spent to fix things that are not well documented (the print preview bug is very old bug, last reply by your team "Yes we will close, it's resolved, even if it is not").

Is there a documented how to "repair print preview freezes (not responding)" in your KB, I saw nothing, that the work should say, too much random "hack this ', 'change this option" that will eventually destroy the user profile because 3 hours to manually reconfigure a user profile has more chances of success than the so-called 'solutions' you provide which implies not to change things for 1 day only to get account that it resolves nothing.

I am very very disappointed say the least.

In the other program requiring analysis, RemoteScan appears only for some users. I tried to recreate the user profile. I tried to copy it to the file remote.ini of a profile that works. I tried to reinstall RemoteScan on the workstation, but so far nothing has solved the problem. I have no idea what could be the cause and was hoping that someone could have encountered the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    RemoteScan files must be in the user homepath. These files should be as follows:

    TWAIN_32 (folder... RemoteScan internal folder)
    TWAIN_32.dll 44KO
    Twunk_32.exe

    All these RemoteScan files should be in the folder windows homepath from the user. To confirm the homepath from the user, you need to connect to the server as the user and then display a command prompt. Type set home.

    The normal thing to do is to create a similar additional responsibility and using Exclusions to 'hide' the features you want.

    It's more complicated than that.

    • Lightroom does not use the Camera Raw separate used by Photoshop plugin. Lightroom has the Camera Raw engine built into its code base. When you update to Lightroom, all Raw updates are included in Lightroom.
    • Compatibility of camera Raw plugin varies according to the version of Photoshop
      Camera Raw plugin and Adobe application compatibility
    • CS5 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 6.7.
    • CS6 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 9.1.1.
    • Only Cloud versions are compatible with current versions of Camera Raw.
    • To use Raw files in CS5 which require new versions of Camera Raw 6.7, to open the import dialog in Lightroom and "Copy as DNG". Open the DNG in CS5.

    Lightroom does not use plug in Camera Raw. So download the latest Camera Raw did nothing at all for you. The only way to update or upgrade Lightroom is to get the latest version. If you have Lightroom 4 then the latest version of Lightroom, you have no additional cost is Lightroom 4.4.1. If the device you are using requires something newer that what is supported and that the version of Lightroom, then an upgrade to Lightroom 5.
