Launch error messages.

When I start my PC on Windows XP, I get 2 error messages:

(1) pmakblsv.dll the specified module could not be found.

(2) afopesepe.dll the specified module could not be found.

I have isolated the problem on the list of startup items and can stop it by clearing the check boxes in front of their name in the startup list.

My questions are: is it safe to leave these 2 files unchecked in the stsrt list?  How can I solve the problem? If I reloaded XP would that sort?

It is not cause difficulties at the moment, but it would be nice to sort correctly

Thank you

Jack

1. download and run the free Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free just to make sure that you are completely clean.

2. two registry keys store deleted programmatically msconfig startup items. In a run window (Windows Logo key + R), type regedit and press enter in the left pane, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Tools\MSConfig.

One or two subkeys (startupfolder and startupreg) contains entries for disabled items. To remove an item disabled in the list, right-click on the name and delete it.

Create a system restore point before you delete the keys in case something goes wrong.
