Launch of console KVM issue

I have a c220 M3 UCS where I try to install on the HV. The current version on the CIMC is 1.4.6. While on the MMIC, I hit the "launch KVM Console", but the KVM does not start, the only answer I get (using Google Chrome) is that I get a viewer.jnpl file and ([email protected]/ * / @1350949862108) beside him. I tried using Firefox and IE and exhibit the same problem. I've also updated my version of java to the current version.

Any ideas as to what I'm not doing correctly? Thanks in advance.

Hi JL

You will find that the file extension is not just JNLP but jnlp (10.22.xx.xx, etc).

Navigate to the file and rename it just so that it's simply viewer.jnlp and you'll be fine.

Thank you

  • Error UCS Manager Console KVM to open after Java Update

After the upgrade to version 1.7_21 Java I tried to access the KVM console from within the UCS Manager (v2.1 (1 d)) and get the error message:

"Cannot run the program"C:\\Program": CreateProcess = 2 error, the system cannot find the file specified."

I tried to remove installed applications and applets as well as temporary files from the Java console inside, but it does not solve the problem. We also tried to launch the console KVM in KVM Manager and that works very well. Everything works correctly when you run Java 1.7_17.

Everyone knows about this problem since upgrade to 1.7_21?

    Thank you.

In the meantime, you can install Java in a directory path that has no space to work around the problem. For example: c:\Java\jre7

This will give you access KVM again.

  • vSphere 6 Web Client - VM console mouse issues

    Fresh VSphere 6 install:

vCenter device 6.0 2559267 (tiny config, the integrated Setup)

    ESXi 6.0 2494585 and 2615704 (patch applied 201504001)

Client computer (admin): Win2008R2 server with or without SP1, Chrome 41, 37 of Firefox, IE 11, Adobe Flash Player and 15.0 17.0.

Tried all possible combinations with the latter (see above), each time the same symptoms.

Affected by issues with mouse on consoles Web Client VM, vSphere unaffected client (c#):

    (1) when you open a console to a computer virtual where VMTools are not installed, _movements_ of mouse are not transferred to VM, clicks are however, entered at the keyboard is forwarded / work.

    (2) in the case of installed VMTools, it gets a little better, but still problematic

-Whenever a virtual machine console opens upward, if the vSphere Client Web browser window has been enlarged, the new window / tab with the console gets maximized as well and "tends" VMs Office - looks makes each pixel bigger. When the browser with the console window is restored down, the Office of VMs in it gets "resized" to fit the window.

-Movements of the mouse seem to work (with installed VMTools), however only in the region which is the system VMs "native, not resized, non-tendu-pixel" resolution - f.x. so my WinVM has a screen resolution of 800 x 600, I launch a console in the Web Client and it is open in a window size 1600 x 1200, visually each pixel gets "stretched" and 4 times higher in the console , however the mice only moves in superior left quarter of desktop VMs, which seems to be linked to "native VMs not resized resolution." Once I have restore to the bottom of the browser window with size equal to or less than VMs console "native resolution", mouse movements operate in all areas of office in the console.

Does not sound like a trivial thing to solve at first glance, but maybe someone has encountered a parameter that would disable the stretching of VMs Desktop in the Web Client Console? This would fit perfectly as a workaround.

Any other ideas / suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks in advance!

VMware have an article now for the same problem: the mouse pointer does not work in the console of virtual machine VMware vSphere Client HTML5 Web (2116851)

Three solutions of workarounds currently exist:

    * Use VMware Remote Console.

    * Access the console of the virtual machine of VMware vSphere Client.

    * Install VMware Tools in the virtual machine and to increase the resolution of the screen until the mouse pointer has a full range of motion.

    Hi guy,

    Nice day!

Today, I spend all day looking for the solution to this, but it was a bad day for me. I have access to the server cisco UCS 220 M3 Mmic and when I clicked the button on console kvm on the page group MMIC, the kvm and vm tab does not appear on the console kvm page. When I clicked on the virtual media in the menu, it's only to create image and enable vm media, there is no "Add images" option available for me to download the ISO image of vmware on the server.

I tried to update the firmware for MMIC and BIOS, but no luck for me. Grateful if someone can help me with that!

I get delays and frequent messages "Not responding" and I'm trying to find out the culprit.

The DCOM Server process Launcher is a critical Windows service that starts other services according to the needs. If it stops working, Windows automatically restarts the computer to start again. That's what matters!

  • console connection issues 1142

    Hey all -

I have a couple slight 1142 AP I need preparation and we tried to comfort them. but all I get is out starter and standard messages do not have connectivity controller.  I see the messages 'Press RETURN to start' and "CLI engaged", etc...  But none of my entry registration is underway.  I can not get a command prompt. I tried factory reset on the unit to make sure that any previous config has been removed - still no luck.

The same cable of the console was used to connect to other Cisco devices and worked properly.  These AP is powered by PoE switch, and I've never had problems using the console on these units before. I tried different settings to control flow and speed settings on my break also tried sequences terminal for due diligence--once again, still no luck.  Any ideas or similar experiences out there?

Make sure that you have disabled on your flow control terminal emulation program.  Most of the Cisco devices do not what it is, but wireless equipment will only answer if it is disabled.  You'll see the output of the PA, but it does not accept your comments if you have any kind of active flow control.

  • UCS KVM issues, must remove a pool and let the pool questions

We currently have multiple pools in our model and recently a new blade from the last pool that has been added, and we cannot have it use as it is in a different subnet from the FI.  KVM will not work in this case.

Thus, management fired one IP address of this pool, and the KVM does not connect because it is on a different subnet as the FI.  We want to remove this pool, so this does not happen and reset this blade is on the other subnet 10.1.0.xxx which will allow the KVM start work. And we do not want to provoke the interruption of all the machines that run on this blade, since it's production.

My question is really, if we remove that pool, the blade will automatically happen to other existing pools?

What happens to the other KVM on the slides that currently use the pool for a KVM to this POOL session we want to remove?

As seen in the screenshot, we have blade, 1 and 2 have a kvm fired him.  Blade 3 and UCS8 is the new blade and must be handed over to another pool.  What happens if this pool is deleted in this scenario?

    See screenshot.

If you remove the ext-mgt-pool (for external access of MMIC), the IP address are removed immediately from the MMIC. No restart of the server, nor MMIC. You can set a new position-mgt-pool, and an IP address is automatically assigned to each blade.

  • ESXi 5.1 required authentication

    Hi all

Strange question here to try to open a session to change the IP address of the host ESXi 5.1.

He can be preinstalled Dell on our new server.

I don't have connection via the DRAC deliver and launch the console without issue.

But when I hit F2 I get an authentication window that is not happy with any user / password combo I throw at it.

Is there some generic password used here? I tried root and vmware without result.

    Thanks in advance.

If the password is wrong, the only option is to reinstall the ESXi. Other options:-is this a picture of DELL. -Try to connect by using the ESXi vSphere client and enter the credentials root to confirm if she works there. Otherwise, reinstall the ESXi, won't take much of your time.

  • Revoked certificate of UCS Express E140D MMIC KVM

So I have a bunch of 2951 s with E140D blades in them. I need to install ESXi on them but the stinking KVM (accessed via the MMIC) for each of them comes with a revoked certificate error.

I just did this for a bunch of M3s C240 with no problems.

    CIMC firmware version is:

This appears to be later - I just downloaded the latest version and the number corresponds to the existing version.

I did not open a TAC case again; I have problems with phone and my serial number don't like the online form. However, I'm going to miss a deadline for this reason.

    Hi Michael,

It seems that you hit a bug for the E series: CSCtx85249.

    revoked

Console KVM symptom does not start and displays the following Java

    exception error:

    Certificate has been revoked

    java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: certificate has been revoked

Solution to workaround on the client system, disable the configuration of Java

the Java Control Panel settings follow these steps:

Step 1 go to advanced > Security > General

Enable line stage 3 validation of certificate

If you use Mac, in addition to modifying the Java preferences, you must

to change the CRL and OCSP checking off

In some scenarios, you must do the following if you are a Mac user:

Step 1 go to keychain > certificates. Double-click on the cisco.com partner

    certificate.

Step 2: click the right arrow for Trust and select always trust in the when

    using this certificate dialog box.

  • Failed to get Virtual Console working on R710, iDRAC6 v1.95

    Hello

I've searched the forums and Google but can't seem to find a solution to this problem. Details:

    • iDRAC6
    • Firmware: v1.95 (also passed the previous, updated firmware upgraded to this version to see if she would be in trouble but did not)
    • R710
    • When launching Virtual Console is selected to receive "alert system - ask unknown Spectator: 0".
    • Configuration:
      • Virtual Console: enabled
      • Max sessions: 1
      • No active sessions
      • Presence of remote port: 5900
      • Video encryption active: checked
      • Local video server active: checked
      • Type of plugin: Native

In the instructions that he mentions "Note: 64-bit ActiveX plugin is not DRAC6 Enterprise. If I try to change the Type of plug-in native to Java and apply I'm prompted with "alert system - please enter single port numbers." Try to change the port remote presence of anything other than 5900 does not-same error. Have tried different browsers (IE, Firefox) and same problem. Having run racadm dracreset and same problem. Any ideas?

    Hello rdenne

I would recommend the DRAC reset to the factory settings. The command that you have done a racadm racreset performs a soft reset/reboot of the racadm racresetcfg DRAC reset the DRAC to factory default. You will need to reconfigure the user/pass and the local network settings after you perform this operation.

Let me know if this does not resolve the issue.

Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network support Windows (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if that helps.

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.
