• Alienware Aurora R4 MIO ALX Board question

  Hello everyone, I know that this subject and I am about to talk about problem has been discussed over and over again, but I have no where else to turn and do not know how to solve a problem, I have so I'll simplify as much as possible. So basically, I had a case of Aurora ALX of R4 and modified with the motherboard and custom components. I have done all the research before hand and found that particular mother that I would work with the alienware command center and mio Board. I ordered the case and motherboard off ebay I got someone who did the case and all the wires for a living it all for me. I got the case and after a few months rose money to put everything. I finished installing all the operating system (Windows 7 Home premium) all the drivers for the motherboard, my graphics card and set to update everything, including windows. The only problem I encounter is that fans are running high, I can't control the lights, or install Command Center, and the MIO Board is not displayed in my device manager its listed as an unknown device.  Here are the things that I've done so far to resolve the MIO Board.

  1 turn off the computer and removed the power cord then the power button which took place a minute with the power cord removed and plugged the power cord and back on my PC, then checked the Device Manager it says its installed driver software but its still listed as unknown.

  2. installed and reinstalled the command center twice, but doesn't not work or do anything, since the jury is not recognized, the software can't find it.

  3 opportunity Alienware software 32 bit Diagnostics to run the hardware test to see if the Board of Directors in the list it does not work.

  4. install a driver for Asus thermal control that I thought would fix a thermal error that appears in the command center, but did not.

  5. Finally, tried to change the usb cable that connects to the motherboard MIO Board via a header different usb then made power dissapation thing as described above and still no luck.

  So I'm a bit of ideas right now, I can't say if Miss me just one type of software/driver or if I need more recent or not. The Council is still fresh and is not bricked I know, due to the fact that the two lights on the MIO card are still on a bright blue LED one and LED light orange so. Also, when I unplugged the usb cable of the MIO card to the motherboard, fans are silent and all lights work but when I plug it in again and then fans are on max and the lights are out. Any advice/Input would be greatly appreciated.

  you posted in lastnight here 22:00, but I have not my notify til today. Bravo, you seem to have picked a winner & get your lights.

  When you have purchased your case & decided to install Windows on a hard disk, this 1st time you booted up, your lights should have at the same time you see your Bios screen & ejected from your dvd tray. Note There are no windows or drivers, just a simple interaction between your gross motherboard bios & mio Board. If I was to eject all my hard drives & turn on my pc, my lights will be lit, my mio Board 'works' without a hard drive. It is hard to say why your last Board was not, however the new works, let's get some software installed for it.

  When you started in 7, you might have kept an eye out in your bar to look for the driver past to install, possibly got a desktop "device driver installation" dialog box or similar, as your way of knowing. Since there is no clear indication in your device manager, you can select USB (& peripheral next HID), Action > search the hardware changes, see what he does.

  Whatever it is, it was me, I would then try to install CC 2.8.9; If the installation fails (error platform), copy / save your temporary files in the temp folder, it created, that you did the last time. When a CC install fails, Council MIO get flashed with the firmware, so spend 2.7 CC, see what happens.

  • Look at your systray icon / installation of the Office driver mio dialog box.
  • launch CmndCntr 2.5, see if it 'works', lights change color, fans have cruise control manual etc.

  It is a workaround, you have installed CmndCntr without the IMU with the firmware flashing & you will be relying on the firmware, it has been flashed with advance by the last owner. If all goes well it is harmony & it all works. If you are satisfied, let it be. You are finished. If for any reason you are not satisfied that, later, you want to try to flash the jury, 2.5 CC to uninstall / reinstall, cross your fingers as we all do, simple as that.

  Note: turn off automatic updates of CC

  Creating the level of approval of application policy, you can set it for automatic approval.

  To find the User Manager you need to perform a search using thor/IOM api, then get "Users.Manager Login" attribute. Here are the highlights

  In the first link when the characters exceed the width of editfield it will start new line and start from the beginning. In the second link if the characters are greater than the width of editfield characters gets shifted to the left as and when the new character is typed. but the problem is that we cannot move the cursor backward to use the BACKSPACE key only. the movement of the ball track directional left is only.

  Is he still doing an edit field custom where if the characters exceed the width of the text box it shud offset to the left and also the left scroll with the movement of the trackball is not only.

  Create a HorizontalFieldManager (HORIZONTAL_SCROLL) (and potentially HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR) and add your EditField field.  In this way the field will think he has an almost unlimited width and will never go to the next line.  Instead, the Manager must follow the cursor and scroll accordingly.

  Have you tried just walk, the deinstall.bat without the information of the House that should be removed, if you have two clients of 32/64 bit installed, then it could perhaps also worth reading "uninstall 11.2 removes Inadvertanly 32-bit House houses of 64-bit and Vice Versa (Doc ID 1271661.1).

• Custom HTML Question Slide Radio and checkbox buttons

  Did someone came up with a solution to easily replace the radio and checkbox question slide images HTML5 version? I know there is a hack that requires a change the images by default in the Program Files folder and the modification of the code in a JavaScript file by default, but I was expecting a more elegant solution for end user type.

  I know there is also the ability to create several slides of choice that operate with advanced actions, but our goal is to quickly develop hundreds of courses, and I don't want developers to spend extra time, change in advanced actions. I would like all the tips here, thanks.

  In fact, we looked at something, including in the widget of CpExtra for this particular issue, but at the moment it is quite complicated to do because we need additional images imported into Captivate library, then using a reference ID to replace these images for most normal in quiz questions running.  Unfortunately, there are so many possible problems and things that can go wrong, it's a bit a 'rabbit hole '.

  So, while it would be technically possible to do this with a widget, the best solution still seems to be that Captivate has done what all of the creation of other apps to do and just give you a few options of sustainable style for buttons and checkboxes.

  I was wondering if it is only the textFields that you can make a custome scrollbar for?

  I found a custom scroll bar code and it works fine on textfileds, but I have a container movieclip that contains a few dynamically loaded movieclips.

  I want to be able to scroll the container if too many child clips are created.

  Also, how to you tell a container movieclip to not show the overflow of its child mc?  The current container has her child of mc overflowing through the lower limit.

  A bar scrolling (custom or otherwise) essentially just controls the position of an object with respect to its handle.

  As well as a simplified example, lets say you have a scroll bar with a handle that has a full range of movement of 300 pixels, and you have a clip that you want to move it vertically on a beach of 600 pixels.  Ideally, you want to locate the handle and the movieclip, as they are initially at a y = 0 value compared to any container where they live (life of the handle in the scroll bar).

  When you MOUSE_DOWN on the scroll bar handle, initiate you a startDrag() method on the handle and a MOUSE_MOVE event listener and handler function adjust the property y of the movieclip based on position there of the handle to the scroll bar.  The value of y movieclip at any time would be...

  -1 * 600 * handle.y / 300;

  The-1 is because the handful of scrolling down should compensate the parchment of movieclip so that it seems to be scrolling down.

  When you handle MOUSE_UP remove you the MOUSE_MOVE event listener and stopDrag().

  For that which is hidden the overflow of a movieclip, it isn't an overflow... Unlike a stage, that's all that is inside.  So to hide something outside certain areas normally a mask is used.

  You may be able to get some help by using the version of textfield, or you could search and try to find one that uses a movieclip.

• Custom dialog question

  I have a custom dialog box that uses radio buttons and fields edit_text.  What I'm trying to do, is to ensure that when a certain radio is selected the edit_text field will be filled with a suggested answer.  Is this possible and how this might be done?

  Yes, data are acquired fields with the "dialog.store ()" function and loaded with the function "dialog.load ()". Say that a radio button is called 'Rad1' and the text box "Txt1".  This code represents the action script for the option button, it then places 'New text' in the text field.

• Custom event question

  Hi all -
  
  I'm trying to create a simple custom event which gets propagated to the top so that can receive a parent container. When I put the event on true bubblle, I get an error that forced execution of type has no cause for some reason, he's trying to convert the event to a mouse event. What I am doing wrong? • FLVPlayback custom skin question

  Hi all
  Anyone know if there is a way to achieve a diffusion of the elements of video control relative to one of the elements being centered horizontally (for example, the play/pause button) and others spread to the left or the right of share and else of it.
  
  I can get my head around the properties have and anchorRight, but I do not see how to achieve the foregoing, (I have a new Play/Pause button circular I want to stay in the Center, with volume bar and mute on the left and stopping and seekbar on the right). Does anyone know how to do this? After loads of testing, I'm almost ready to dig inside the UIManager FLVPlaybacks (almost, but not quite - so this way).
  
  I have new skin working a fixed-width by disconnecting all the anchor/resizing and everything set to a fixed size. But its only suitable for a width of player if this is the case - far from ideal. Just wondering if there missed me something simple... Please let me know if you have worked through something like this before. Thanks, GWD

  I understand how do. In fact digging around in the UIManager, it was what I had to do... I would not have been so reluctant to do it because this is where the instructions for how to do were hidden away from view, as comments at the beginning of the class file... lol.

  Each item in the skin can have its own layoutSelf 'method' which is called after the UIManager does its job. So you can write the code to do it in the SWF for the skin itself.

  Hope someone else saves some time. It's the FLVPlayback as2 version... dunno if it's the same for as3. I'll get there soon.
