  Programming itself does not put a lot of stress on a computer. A processor slower, smaller RAM or small disc like the one you cited is not much of a hindrance on track in programming. Some programmers prefer to have an additional screen for windows more open during debugging.

• Programs that have stopped responding are driving me crazy

  Please help me in one last attempt make this usable computer until I have spend money on replacement.

  I had a 1 year (see guarantee) Thinkpad E530 Windows 7 64 bit. It has a 2.5 Ghz Intel i5, 4 GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 3000. I'm running MSE for antivirus. On paper, it must be able to manage everything that I do on a daily basis. The CPU (usually less than 10%) and the use of the memory of agreement, my hardware is apparently barely stretched by why I do it.

  However, it is slowly driving me crazy. The computer is able to run smoothly in some applications (right now that I am typing for example), but any time I try to change gears by opening a web page or by clicking on a menu in MS Word, the program goes unresponsive for 3-10 seconds. According to what I do, this could happen every 10 to 20 seconds but seems to be worse when a program opens at the outset. May not seem like much, but after months of this, I feel like I spent years of my life waiting for this computer to "not blocked" himself.

  I did a clean install of Windows, run diagnostics on the hard drive, tried to determine priorities in Process Explorer and twisted options in different programs, nothing done. I still often have to look at the small blue circle.

  I'll run any Diagnostics you want, display information on my machine, you name it. If you can make this computer the stutter constantly, I will be eternally grateful.

  This is probably not your problem, but it could be a part. If you leave a CD/DVD in the optical drive of computers, they should "launch" and be read to any operation involving the Explorer (aka file operations). This can create some "latency time" which makes your computer appear to "stall" before it happens on what you asked it to do. External USB HDD can cause the same effect to a lesser degree than their playing time is faster than an optical drive.
  You specifically mentioned opening Word as problematic. Try to open in the start menu by typing winword.exe/Safe. Word opens in SafeMode without macros or add-ins. If the word snaps to attention, look what add-ins you have installed, and what you can live without. Disabling or uninstalling necessary add-ins you open Word as an administrator in order to get the privileges required for uninstall.
  On a related note, you might want to look in ReadyBoost. I never use the card reader on my Dell E6410 (with a material similar to yours) so I got a 32 GB SD card and half devoted to ReadyBoost and redirected %tmp% and temporary Internet files in the other half. Now open any office application is instead of restoring from being reduced to a minimum opening the menu start. Note that ReadyBoost on a card reader or USB is more effective when you access many small files. There are many less improved access to a few large files. After initially installing a ReadyBoost drive, you will see an improvement and it gets better as ReadyBoost 'learn' programs and processes access you most frequently. Reformat the SD card dedicated to a NTFS file system also helps.
  Do not confuse ReadtBoost with ReadyBoot. HTH.

  The use of ICT in the effective delivery of music and video production, is a way of engaging learners, motivating ways of learning and facilitate the choice on how and where to learn. The use of digital recording technology has a strong focus on the mobilization of technology to meet the needs of all learners, bringing innovation and reliable services for all, but also acknowledging that some learners may need additional support or resource. Custom learning meet the needs of individuals is stressed with developments such as personal learning spaces. Technology has an important role and potential as a catalyst to reduce the barriers to inclusion; either by improving access to information, linking the disparate communities together or by accountability and empowerment of individuals. There is considerable evidence of the benefits of access to the Internet and a PC at home or in the community for the excluded. ICT has the power to transform the possibilities of education and the living conditions of people with disabilities and special educational needs. Reinforce the idea that ICT can provide access to learning and interaction for those whose learning needs or disabilities would marginalize, if not them. Communication AIDS project (CAP) has demonstrated that it is where teachers integrate the use of assistive technology in the curriculum and learning, they can transform the quality of the experience of learning not only for the individual, but for others in the class whose learning styles can be better supported by the use of this technology. There will be concerns in the costs of this technology and how to make it available to all and the integration of individual learners of the PACE and style in a group. These problems can be addressed by approaching the manufacturers of hardware and software to provide older versions of products that could be upgraded if the learner wants and using ICT as a means to address and secure record keeping of individual learning needs.

  The designed route runs for 3 days and encompasses all areas, which will allow the participants to produce a video project done with soundtracks.

  It is important to make sure that your sessions are inclusive. This can be achieved by using different learning and teaching methods. Choose the technique to use will depend on the context of learning you belong. The appropriate selection aims to facilitate the group to ensure the inclusion. This can be accomplished by discussing with learners what are their requirements and their needs for support. This knowledge will allow you to develop individual Learning Plans (ILP) and ensure that all learners are taken care. This inclusive strategy will respond to the needs of the learners and help them feel supported and appreciated and allow the teacher to check the needs and open support strategy facilitating an informed choice of teaching and learning method adapted to the individual and their learning style (s).

  Since 1997, a number of government policies have addressed different aspects of inclusion and shown that the exclusion of the impact on learning and the life chances of children, adolescents and adults. They recognize that school failure and the risk of social and educational exclusion are complex areas, with links to social deprivation and poverty. At the same time, laws such as the special educational needs and Disability Act (2001), has placed a duty on local authorities and the post-16 providers to ensure that they are not discriminate against students with disabilities for a reason related to their disability. They are needed to improve access to education not only for current students with disabilities, but also from the perspective of pupils and students who wish to attend. The Government has also launched a long-term strategy, the removal of the obstacles to the achievement (2004), to respond in the best way to the needs of students with special educational needs can be met.

  The inclusion of the expression is used in a wide variety of contexts. For some it places emphasis on social inclusion, or equality of opportunity in all areas of life, while for others it underlies the need to overcome the inequalities such as the digital divide. As part of a physical, sensory or cognitive disabilities, it is closely related to the issues of equal access, while for ethnic minority groups, inclusion is interconnected with the concepts of diversity. In all these contexts ICT can support individuals and groups and break down the barriers which lead to excluding education, dissatisfaction and poor results. ICT can be a powerful tool and a way to support inclusive practices.

  Nothing wide inclusion support technology to a system and institutional level. The needs assessment process, by providing personalized learning programs and saving them the progress and achievements are some of the essential tools for the creation of inclusive learning institution. ICT is regular evaluation of learners handy for teaching and accessible in the whole of the institution and beyond. Access each learning with a profile to let safe needs their personal space of learning that is configured to recognize their special needs, including their access. The Becta publication 'extending from the borders of learning' provides good examples of practice, schools, offering secure access for students to also learn at home and initiatives to support the education of mobile learners such as Gypsies and travellers. However, the provision of technology alone will never be fully exploit the opportunity THAT ICT offers without the understanding and skills of teachers in its implementation of the planning. There is a need for a good understanding of those who work in education and training, at all levels. All efforts to expand the use of ICT in education now recognize that the teacher must be competent and confident in the use of technology, that technology must be robust and powerful enough to do the job, and that high quality content should be available.

  It is likely that you will teach a diverse group of students from different backgrounds, with different levels of achievements and expectations, but also different learning needs. Adoption of an inclusive approach when teaching helps ensure that your education meets all will allow students to learn efficiently. So the students will feel that they belong to the class. In recording and production, the learner will be able to progress at their own pace and software has the ability to implement in different languages to facilitate the ethnic and cultural diversity.

  Music production and video in popular culture and would be a desirable way to express self. Using popular social networking sites, these products can be shared instantly. Technical requirements of such an activity will place the language and skills of high numeracy on the agenda to facilitate production.

  Legal requirements to respect the characteristics of protected information; age, sex, ethnic origin, sexual orientation and ability, described by the 2010 Equality Act, should be accompanied by an emerging agreement, the dynamic group, of what is and is not considered to be acceptable behavior.  This type of activity will develop skills in ICT and learning calculation giving a desirable application language and numeracy which develop employment skills and increase self-confidence.

  I see that Rick has already you linked to my favorite updated resource on the way, but I wanted to warn you that EI is not a very easy to learn program. It's a real pleasure once you know what you're doing, but it will take a few months before you really understand how to use it - and it'll take a lifetime to master. It is a very powerful program, and as such, it has a steep learning curve.

  Do not expect to pick up in a day.

• Upgrade Windows 7 to 8.1 Pro for HP Envy 810 - 145qe (J0X43AAR #ABA)

  I just bought a HP Envy Phoenix 810-145qe which is preinstalled with Windows 7.  Specifically, I bought this system because it was faster than my old desktop processor and I could spend 24 GB memory to 32 gb that I did.

  I went to the HP site and checked if this model has been tested by HP that came back had not been tested with Windows Pro 8.1.  Can someone tell me if I've stuck with Windows 7 on this new machine?  I really need to have Windows Pro 8.1 because I develop e-Learning programs that need to be tested in an environment Windows OS 8.1.   I don't see a problem with the installation of Windows Pro 8.1 on the 810-145 envy.  HP has released drivers for Windows 8.1. There is little difference between Windows 8.1 and Windows Pro 8.1.

  1. Check with the manufacturers of your application to make sure that you don't have a problem with Windows 8.1
  2. Run Microsoft Windows 8 upgrade assistant
  3. Don't forget to create the external HP recovery media.
  4. Back up your data and also download drivers HP Windows 8.1 posted on external media.
  5. Buy licensed Windows 8.1 and download Microsoft support.  The Microsoft download process will allow you to create a bootable USB flash drive or an optical medium.  I would recommend that you download the ISO support and then create the desired boot media.
  6. Follow these instructions from Microsoftto install Windows 8.1.

• measure PWM duty cycle

  Hi all

  I have never done in time real before LabVIEW and have a pretty simple question.

  I know that there is a measure of pulse width as VI in the palette of waveform and it can be used to measure the duty cycle and frequency of the PWM. My question is, is it necessary to use this measure of vi on a platform time pulse width real (compactRIO, compactDAQ etc...) so that it works? In other words, can I just use normal LabVIEW to measure the duty cycle and frequency of the PWM?

  Is there an alternative to the duty cycle and frequency of measurement without using compactRIO or compactDAQ platform? My concern is because I did no real time programming and the deadline is tight and there is not a lot to invest in learning programming in real time.

  I just want to know the experiences of others who have done it before.

  Oh yes RT is not really necessary for sample DAQ of things like that.  If you have a condition like assess each cycle of a PWM, and if the signal falls then to send a command within the period of a cycle, then you want RT or FPGA to respond deterministically.  But if you agree with a bunch of samples taken, then evaluate the data after having been taken then a cheap DAQ card probably will work fine.

  Speed can be a matter of concern.  Lets say you have a square wave of 1 kHz at 50% duty cycle.  If you enjoy at 2 kHz, then you should be able to see that the signal is weak for a sample, then up for a sample and you can determine that the signal is at duty cycle of 50%.  But if you have your wave to the duty cycle of 10%, while most of the time, you will see two samples of low, thinking that it's 0% duty cycle, but then from time to time you will get a top and a bottom and get 50% of reading, who don't agree.

  This is why it is recommended that you enjoy at a rate at least 10 times faster than your input signal.  So if you have an example of signal of 1 kHz to 10 kHz.  Then, if your duty cycle is 10%, you will see a small sample of top and 9.  But even that might not be enough if you need to have more precision to your measurement.  Fortunately, NEITHER sells cheap and expensive material for that.  The hardware cheaper that might work for you is the following:

  But you probably want to call OR and describe your situation and they can recommend the best material to use if you are not familiar with their offers.  Depending on your situation, you may be able to use an Arduino too.  NOR has a toolbox where it can collect samples and send them via USB.  The sent message can be the rated frequency and the duty cycle, but once again it is quite limited and does not have any help from NEITHER a material point stand, they provide just the box tool.

  You try to learn programming manual from the (not-so-bad, actually) LabVIEW, you reference in your message?  If so, it would be wise to find a LabVIEW guru and get to teach you the basics of the LabVIEW programming, including the importance of data flows (and how to serialize your code using error line) and good programming Style LabVIEW ("Lesson #1 - all the diagrams should fit on a single screen of laptop , and if it's not then break down the task into sub - VI. ("" "" Lesson #2 - all sub - VI and VI is in need of an icon and a Description ').

  You don't say what the problem is that you are experiencing.  Could I guess that it involves the three-axis Joystick?  There are Joystick support in LabVIEW, but it's a little dark and a little outside the usual way of handling equipment.

  Give us a better idea of what questions you have.
