  In DML form, I have a few text field.  When 'Submit when you press enter' is defined or not, the calculation of point after the present and upper(:Text_Field) does not work.

  When I changed 'Submit when you press enter' Yes, it works but it submit the Page and I did not complete data entry.

  Am I missing some setting?  I searched the forum, underlined especially html form but I use form DML.

  No, because the script will only trigger when other field values change. It will not update when the document is opened until the user changes a field value.

  I use a parameter that has more than one value to be entered, separated by commas. I checked the box 'text field contains values separated by commas' for the parameter and set the sql code by using the operator 'in' so that the column will look in the multiple input values (e.g. family name in (: surname_par)). However, as passing multiple values parameter must also be able to manage %'s. As the sql uses the 'in' operator, BI Publisher brings back an error because % is supposed to bring all family names and not people with a last name of %. Is there a way to get around this?

  If you try to pass multiple values separated by commas and in addition also takes the query to return the data when the user types just in '%', then you could write something like this in your query:

  Select * from table_name
  where ((1 = DECODE (: surname_par, '%', 1, 0)) OR family name in (: surname_par))

  It would depend where SAL data. If it's on your page, then you could probably do something with javascript. If this isn't the case, you will need to do some Ajax to retrieve the value of the database. Take a look on: http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:80

  Your select list can include the ENAME and SAL and your javascript values existing would then just divide the data into two parts and insert them into the appropriate fields.

  Normally XML contains data and no default legends these xml files are bouond to the rawValue property. You can enable the dynamic linking and other properties of the object will be bindable (they appear as links) in the user interface. If you click on the link to legend an Assistant appears allowing you to bind the node in the XML file.

  If you check the error in Firefox (Ctrl + Shift + j) Console, you will see "form1 is not defined. This is because Firefox converts automatically form1 in reference to < form = "form1" name >. Instead, you must change the code a bit.

  You can fix the above error starting each function where you refer to form1 with this:

  Form1 = return ["form1"] var;

  However, probably just move the error to the next part of the notation (for example, textfield3). The proper way to refer to the value of a form field named is:

  document. Forms ["Form1"]. Items ["textfield3"]. Value

  or if you have set form1,

  Form1.elements ['textfield3'] .value

  If you have a few changes to make. Not sure if there are shortcuts.

• Text field - value color. New user.

  I am painfully self-taught and using LiveCycle Designer ARE 2 on Windows 10.  I am designing a pdf form (via the rights of readers, users can enter text) and everything that has happened - pdf exactly necessary functions - but I need to deal with some visual aspects and here's the hitch...

  I want to the values area of some areas of text entry to fill with a color, all leaving the entire text box & legend area white/no fill.  After a cargo of experimentation, I thought I had this figured out using the following:

  In fashion designer...

  Select the desired text field > tab > field tab > appearance > select custom in the appearance menu > in the custom appearance window that appears I then select background fill > Style = solid.

  Can I choose a color from the first of the two paint bucket icons (the one on his right is grey out), click OK and - presto - the values area has a fill Uni in the color I chose. Exactly what I want.

  The problem is when I leave the designer view and select the preview PDF tab, my colors are gone and view what were their default values. Return to the designer view and the colors are if I put them. Huh?

  I would appreciate help with this.

  Try to uncheck "highlight the existing fields.

  In the Viewer tab if you press the "Esc" key, you'll be up the toolbars it would look in regular acrobat. Then in the header/purple on the top toolbar right you have the choice to highlight fields. Which will highlight the fields by using the same kind of coloring/properties options you have changed earlier so that the choice "replaces" your colour of the fields if that makes sense.

  So I currently have a form to fill out, asking me if certain actions are possible. I am fairly new to the technical aspects of livecycle so real with me if you can.

  I have a series of 4 boxes with values assigned to each. Below the 4 boxes, I have a 4 additional text fields at least one fields relate to one of the 4 possible box selections.

  OK, here we are so spare with me:

  Is it possible to link the 4 boxes in the text field below, i.e. When you click on one of the 4 boxes, the included value apart from that the check box automatically to fill the text field below about 4 possible selections?

  Second question: How can I change the text field automatically calculate numeric values with the 4th text field ending by the result of the calculation?

  If I'm working on the fact that the four items of the table is called:

  1. currentBalance
  2. accrual accounting
  3. Balance
  4. eligibleHours

  So if you go on the 3rd field (balance) and have the following text in the calculate (JavaScript) event:

  In the area of 4th (eligibleHours) and have the following text in the calculate (JavaScript) event:

• Text field increment number of legend - does not correctly load after the backup

  I am trying to create a field of dynamic legend who will be essential are text fields look like a list.  Initially, I searched on how to do this.  I finally found a way to do it, and it is simply to count the number of instances of the text field I and set the value of the legend:

  And that helps my form works very well and the numbers to load fine in the form.  The problem I'm having is that after I save the form and reload, the figures date back to 1 for each text field.  Someone has an idea?

  * To test what I see, go to 'Objectives' and click Add target to create at least 2 additional text fields (so that you have at least 3 overall).  Save the form, and note that the numbers went from 1,2,3 to 1,1,3-triethoxyheptane.  It will be the same if you create any amount.  If you create 5 more it will go 1,1,1,1,5.  I'm puzzled.

  I think that it is related to the initialization of the form sub and how instance manager interprets the subshape County. The "count" on the instanceManager property is the current number of instances of the secondary form. When you add instances of the form in increments of 'count' and she is exposed as a sequential number incremented. However, after economy-close-open the form, the County is irrelevant until you add another instance.

  Does anyone know how to get the edge of the legend of a text field and the value section is visible to a user of the form?  It's a bit confusing when someone enters a field, and there is no line between the legend, they can't change it, and the value, they need editing.

  Choose different skins for the field will make very clear. If you choose to have no appearance there is no deliniation between the two. You can set up to change the background color of the zone to enter and deliver it to the output. This technique will highlight the field that has the focus, and there is no doubt as to where the field stops and starts.
