  • Lenovo H520s

I've had this computer for the and he bought in conjunction with a generic monitor non - PNP and since I bought it I had a black line on the side of my screen that pushes my alittle display, the resolution is 1920 x 1080 I tried to use the control panel to bring it back, but I would like to repeat this step whenever I turn on my pc , so I bought a GTX 650 descrete graphics card and a new PSU and have had work for awhile and it allowed me to change my resolution 1920 x 1200 where it fits perfectly, but since I unplugged it, it has reset and now it says the resolution is not supported. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply but I already thought about it, I just basically started my computer in cooling mode that wiped my computer but kept my files in a "windows.old" folder so I could simply return my computer to normal and stable my drivers and it works perfectly again.
In any case thanks for the reply,

Hello, my OS is Windows 8.1 was last updated.

I have Lenovo ThinkPad W540 workstation.

There is a program called Lenovo Toast and nothing is displayed or starts when I click it.

I tried to download Lenovo Toast, but failed. (I didn't know where to look for Lenovo Toast).

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I think that it is a component of the Lenovo software. It allows other Lenovo programs display a Toast notification (popup Windows 8 top-right)

No idea why I can't spend Win8 to Win8 Pro?

Lenovo forums after reading and I saw something that worked for me:

"I think I've cracked the code on it.  On another forum of Lenovo, they spoke of using msconfig in start diagnostic mode.  Who has not worked for me.  BUT, I used MSConfig, are attended services, checked "hide Microsoft", then disabled everything that was not from Intel.  Clicked OK, rebooted, retried the upgrade and it WORKED!  WooHoo!  Once the backup I ran MSConfig (go to the office, windows key + R, type "MSConfig" in the Run dialog box) and set it to normal startup.  After she came back to the top I had to restart my router wireless and reconnect my wireless to get back online. »
Don't ask me how it works, but it worked.

  • T500 to T540P migration

I previously did a T500 OS system image and everything. The T500 is on it is the last step. I got a T540P as a replacement but I want to migrate the T500 Image system restore on my T540P.

I know it's doable, because I did it BUT the problem is, I think that downloads. It seems that when I go to update software once the image is done the downloads T540P. (Lenovo PM, display and graphics drivers) where the reboot happens I get to Startng Windows screen and 4 bubbles that get together and then pulses. But it still says here. At least, I stopped after like 30 minutes.

Does anyone know if a picture of the previous system can be made and how?

    Any information is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello!

Image the whole OS, the T500 and T540p are miles in addition to being compatible, driver-wise.

so an image/cloning your old drive causes a lot of problems and cost you twice as much

a lot of time in repairs for the new system set up from scratch.

For your files and settings, you can use the file transfer tool in Windows, but it is a laminated tool I

personally, don't like. I've seen too many problems with it over the years. He is not trustworthy. But

When it works as it should, it's a really cool and easy tool for such transfers.

A simple copy of your user records in the new machine covers your files, and if there is

settings, e-mail files, bookmarks, you can find them in the AppData folder. Local for Outlook, roaming

    for most other programs.

  • No option of hibernation after XP don't clean install

After not doing a clean install of XP Pro SP3 there is no hibernation, tab in the Panel of food and the standby option is grayed out.   I tried both the Thinkvantage system update to install feature drivers and have installed manually the pilot of the chip and the power manager.  There are no warnings in Device Manager.   I don't see any BIOS options that could affect ACPI but I wondered why my new SL500 has ver 1.12 system BIOS when the Lenovo site displays 1.08 as last released in August.  I saw the reference to an ACPI driver in one of the messages of the forum, but I don't see such a driver in Lenovo matrix.  Also Hibernate has been active on the original installation of Vista Home Edition and Dr. PC shows no hardware problem.    I'm desperate for ideas so advice would be greatly appreciated.

Problem solved...   I flashed my 1.12 BIOS with version 1.08, downloaded from the matrix of Lenovo, reinstalled XP (for the 3rd time) and responsible for all the drivers manually and Hibernate is now an option.  Don't know which of these actions, which fixed the problem.

  • Lenovo $ X 1 display and MacBook (retina)

Today, I took delivery of a new Lenovo $ X 1 screen. Specifically, I chose this screen for my MacBook because it supports USB - C; I can finally get rid of the dongle USB Apple-C and run all of a single cable, as nature intended. However, even if the monitor works fine with a cable HDMI (not 4K of course), I can't have my Macbook to recognize it when I connect just using the USB - C cable. It is not the USB hub to the screen, but not the display part. Does anyone have experience getting this screen to work? I tried the two Apple USB - C that came with the Macbook and the cable USB - C provided by Lenovo.

    Thank you

And with my third cable usb - c, I got it working.

  • Lenovo T440s on Thunderbolt Display 27 "

    Hello

My Lenovo T440s has a measurement Mini Port.

Is it possible to connect my Lenovo laptop to my Thunderbolt 27 "screen?

Thanks for a response ' not GreeZH.

No. a Thunderbolt display requires a Thunderbolt port.  A bolt of lightning can snap a Mini DisplayPort connector, but it won't work.
