    Hello world

It is somewhat a noobish question but I'm kinda new to laptops. I bought this laptop Satellite L505-111, and in the specs it says I have ATI mobility Radeon 4650 in the form of graphics card. In any case, it was the main reason I bought the laptop. But when I look at windows (I have Windows 7 64 bit version) care. or through PC Wizard, it tells me I have ATI Mobility radeon 4600 series. Can you tell me if it is ok or why it shows me 4600 series and not of 4650.

    Hey Buddy,

Don t you worry about this, everything is ok with your laptop.

ATI Mobility 4600 series means that all the cards in this series, e. g. 4650 (which you have), 4670 or 4630, etc..

On my desktop it s the same. Here, I have Radeon 4870, but the pilot shows only 4800 series. ;)

    much thanks.

    Hello

    Simply and short answer:
Update graphics card chip is NOT possible for laptops.
The GPU is especially part of the motherboard and not expandable.

  • HP Pavilion p6623w video Graphics Card Question.

With the HP Pavilion p6623w, it has an integrated ATI graphics built in. I recently bought a Zotac GeForce gtx 550 ti AMP! Video card and I wanted to install it in the HP System. Unfortunately since I installed it, I had many problems to make same ot games starts. Star Wars: The Old Republic opens the menu and when I click on 'play' it black screens and closed auto itself. The same question comes with League of legends and any demo that I download.

I've updated the drivers as well as other updates that I did to my PC and still no luck, so I'm stuck. I guess it could be my integrated video card?

I can't seem to find a way to disable and exactly how would I have done that?

Please and thanks for the help!

Here are the specifications of your HP p6623w desktop and here are the specs of the ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 550 AMP Ti ! Edition graphics card, you are having problems with. According to the specifications of your computer, your system came with a 250 watt power supply. According to the specifications of the Zotac GTX 550 Ti, it requires a minimum system + 400 watts of power. Unless you have installed a new more powerful PSU, this card will try to draw more power than the PSU will provide.

With regard to the integrated... video card BIOS automatically disables it when it detects a card into the PCIe x 16 slot.

Available on the system expansion slots are:

    • Slot PCI Express 2.0 x 16 (low - profile)

I would check the specifications recommended for any software needs you may have and make a choice based on your needs.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion - 400-434: graphics card question

I'm a big gamer, but as much as to identify what I can and cannot not play, I'm just all confused around starting from my graphics card. When I try to find information about it, I pretty much arrived empty. His name is "Intel(r) HD Graphics" and that is it... research all tend to have numbers after that, but is in fact everything he says from the Manager of drivers, dxdiag or in any other way, I tried to understand.

Also, I was wondering about the differences between this and the generic version from Intel's?

Finally, I was told that this PC is ideal for playing games for $400. Through my own research that it is a kind of sounding like it was fake, but I wanted to go ahead and ask the manufacturer.

    @SpcOs, welcome to the forum.

Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer.

Also, I was wondering about the differences between this and the generic version from Intel's?  It is very difficult to answer.  HP has their motherboards manufactured according to their own specifications.

The only presence that HP has on this are Admins and Mods. Otherwise, none of us works for HP.  However, it is not accurate to what said you.  The computer is certainly not a gaming computer.  I suggest looking for the system requirements for the games you want to play and comparing them with the specifications.

  • Satellite A300: upgrading the graphics card question

    HI :)

I am a new user of portable computers...
Like nvidia geforce graphics cards can be installed in my Sat A300? extent to which max mem I can install?

No, the graphics card can not be upgraded.
In most cases (with the exception of the MXM module) the GPU is soldered on the motherboard and I don t think you could remove it.
But even if you were able to remove the chip, you won't find any GPU that would be compatible with laptops card mother and BIOS.

So in my opinion don't forget this upgrade

  • Want to buy a Satellite P100-> graphics card question

    Hello

    I want to buy a Satellite P100
    as the 442 (Core 2 Duo T5200)
but im afraid that the VGA Intel® 945GM Express chipset
whit max 128 MB is a little low for Vista?

the 443 and 444 have one
    NVIDIA® GeForce Go 7600 / 7900
but the price is much higher...

or is the 128 VGA Intel® 945GM good enough for Vista?

I am not gamer but hate when it takes a lot of time to play
a vid, an mp3 or open a site Web etc.

    Hello

I'm not a P100 owner but I want to share with you my experience of Vista.
If you are right. Intel 945GM graphics card is certainly not the best solution for Vista.
It is a 128 MB shared graphics card and believe me the features of Vista like Aero Aeroglass does not turn or she would go, but with very poor performance.

So if you want to buy a laptop that really is Vista capable, I would recommend buying one with a great graphics card.
The graphics card must supports min 256 MB video memory clean? No shared video memory

  • Lenovo G500 graphics card

    DirectX version: DirectX 11

    1:Intel (R) Graphics 4000 HD video card

    2:AMD Radeon HD 8570 M video card

I tried everything to change my graphics Intel HD 4000 AMD RADEON HD M 8570 card manually, but I could not... I read as that suppose to switch to AMD, but when does? Because I wanted to play with NFS Rivals, and he has not switched... WHEN SHOULD I?

  • Aspire M3985 (win 8) graphics card Question

Hello, my m3985 Aspire with the following standard configuration:
    WINDOWS 8
    Processor Intel Core i7 3770
    nVidia GeForce GT640 4 GB
    1 TB harddrive
    8 GB of DDR3 memory
    DVD-Super Multi drive
    Card reader
    Bluetooth Wireless LAN +.

The problem is if I can change the GT640 my own GTX 750 Ti is in it - can I? Because the GT 640 55 watt TDP and the GTX 750ti is 60 Watt TDP. 5 watt is not much of a difference right? But I am still concerned about the amps of power supply. So what to do ?... There is also a sample file for the manufacture of graphics card...

    As much as I fear.

The data in order to provide for the graphics cards come directly from Nvidia themselves: GT640  GTX 750 Ti

If you're really worried, you can upograde your diet too. Around 500-600watts will be more than enough!

  • Graphics card question - am I wrong one?

I just got my new Pavilion dv7 less then 3 weeks. It was just today that I was checking around to see how well my laptop could play games, I think that what I think is the wrong graphic card in my laptop. In the box it says I should have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 but when I type dxdiag in Run, it says that I have an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. I'm new to all of this, made my laptop have poor graphics card?

Because according to the System Requirements Lab Web site and all that, my new laptop can not play games of what my old laptop could, who had an ATI HD 3200. I guess the HD 5470 should work better, but it's the only thing that prevents me to run many games. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Hey there, as it seems to me, is that you need to download your video drivers on the site. It just go to the Support page for the drivers & put in your product and download/install the video driver. And who should take care of your issue.

  • To every time at startup blue screen + graphics card question

    Hello

Since this is my first time that I post something here, I'll get to point. Since I got a new called graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4350 1 GB

    My system:

    Compaq Presario SR5110NX

    OS: Win Vista 32 bit

    Hard drive: 120 GB

    RAM: 2 GB

    video card driver version: 8.791.0.0

    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core 5600 processor +.

I had nothing other than errors, blue screens (especially this: IRQL_not_less_or_equal... error message) and driver issues with this video card, although the last updated driver is installed successfully, I stil think that the error message that I receive on a blue screen: IRQL_not_less_or_equal

I cleaned over and over again my registry with RegGenie. so I'm sure that my registry has not caused this, I need a solution to this problem at the end but it's a bit weird to have a driver installed corectly give a blue screen 2 minutes after the start. Any ideas here? any help will be appreciated.

In addition, this could be due to the video card overheating? He completely 2 heat sinks, I should install a fan on it?

    Hello

now I know what was causing the error, was not the graphics card, because since 2 days I did not get blue screens or mistakes, but it is a Realtek audio driver which was defective, so now, I have no day and no mistake.

  • ELITEBOOK 8760W: yet an another 8760w graphics card question.

After the years of great use of this im lappy with graphical problems, random screen flashes (sometimes it will return to normal other others it goes back like 800 x 600, or I get a message that "driver has stopped responding") it will be de-res, I get Rainbow lines, or parasites.  First, I replaced the screen, then I replaced the screen cable... no change.i reinstalled win 7 pro, drivers, ect. now my question is since the direct oem video cards are becoming difficult to find and expensive, can I install a generic over-pants m5950 and always erase the white list or should it be the HP # 647176-001 video card?

There is not a true whitelist as in wireless cards. A standard over-pants M5950 should work.

Most of those you see on the market have been drawn from HPs anyway.

  • Upgrade graphics card question

    Hello

A question concerning an update of video card I have try. My system is a p7-1205 Pavilion, and I'm as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I'll upgrade my video editing software for Sony Vegas Pro 11, and I need to install a new video card to make it work. On a budget, will bare bones meet the requirements of Vegas and will receive this card; HP NVIDIA Quadro 600 WS093AT. Went not 3D, so I should be ok.

However, on the page requirements, he said I should be Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Think you I'm having trouble getting it running on my OS or do I have to upgrade it as well?

    Hello

Review the information on thislink.  Are taken in charge of 32-bit and 64-bit drivers.

Look at this graph Quadro.  You could probably go upwards to the Quadro 2000 without upgrading of food according to your budget.  Sony Vegas Pro 11 data sheet indicates a Quadro 600 or higher.
