  I just got a y480 with. Disc 1 to and Windows 8. I installed a crucial 128 GB Msata ssd and it is seen by windows 8, however I want to spend my c: drive SSD and start the ssd to gain speed. I tried to use the Easeus partition master to copy the c: drive to the ssd and it succeeded, but I can't boot from it. Someone at - he succeeded in this and can share the best method? I just boot from SSD. What is the best method to clone for my case. Free preference

  I was finally able to clone my hard drive to an mSATA SSD Crucial. I tried several different approaches to farstone drive clone 8, partition master 9.1.1 and macrium reflect, but none seemed to work as I found myself either with a partition that would not start, or that I couldn't make it bootable. I even tried easyBCD to modify start menu options, but got nowhere.

  What I ended up doing that worked was using EASEUS Todo Backup home version to clone the entire hard drive to the mSATA SSD, taking care to ensure that I had the option optimize for SSDS box checked for destination Windows partition. Then I started the clone and when it was done I went into the BIOS by pressing F2 set the entry for the SSD to the top. Once I booted into Windows I deleted the recovery partitions of Lenovo (on the SSD, NOT the hard drive!) and the extent of the Windows partition in disk management to recover the space occupied by these... It seems to work fine...

  I managed to get all the installed drivers I need installed. As Lenovo does not officially support XP x 64, it has been rather difficult. I had a driver for the Conexant HD SmartAudio 221 card installed and Windows claims that it works correctly, but there is no active mixer device and so no sound. Any ideas?

  I have a Lenovo Thinkpad W520 with Windows 7 64 bit installed. Compared to other laptops with comparable hardware, my Lenovo is very slow. To prove my thought, I realized with a test evaluation of Matlab (64-bit) and Windows 7 assessment test. In both tests, my Lenovo was worse than other laptops. During testing, I put the Power Manager performance and activated the Lenovo Turbo.

  Now, I wanted to ask, if there are parameters, perhaps in the bios, to speed up the laptop? Or why such a bad performance even if the material is very good?

• cd/dvd missing after the replacement of hard disk and windows drive

  I have a laptop Lenovo I had to replace a hard drive, and Windows 7.  I've been able to do and got going, or so I thought.  I went to use the cd/dvd drive and nothing.  Looking at the Panel control does not show a d: / at all.  Device Manager shows a drive. (I think)  He said same drive works fine on the Properties screen.

  Any ideas on how to get it working or back?  Or should I go to ebay and get an external hard drive?

• Lenovo T420 with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit - Windows Genuine validation failure

  I have directly from Lenovo Lenovo T420 bought end of 2011 which began recently to show the message that its not running Genuine Windows.  He fails to pass the validation test.  He also stopped treatment of the Windows updates since December 15, 2014.  All fail with the error 800706F7.  I don't know if that is related to the failure of the validation.  I would like to get the Windows validation problem all solved first guess that they may be related.  Is attached a copy of the report full diag.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Update: called Microsoft validation and validation of phone attempt to id software.  Has been informed by the agent that the product ID has been blocked by Lenovo.  Suggested I upgrade Windows, purchase a new license or call Lenovo.  Release with support from Lenovo and told me that they have no way to block a product code.  Suggested I try an upgrade of BIOS or reload the operating system.  Have you the BIOS upgrade result has not changed.  Also updated the driver Intel Rapid Storage, but again no change on the system.  Read messages where that fixed similar symptoms).  Latest report of diag is the same as that posted here. Operation of the system with the exception of the issue with the message on non-genuine software and updates of Windows does not not error code 800706F7.  Looking for more information.

  Update: 2/29/2015 KB3004394 was not as installed on this system.  I ran a system scan and it shows the following missing components. There are several entries in the CBS for the latter.  I have included only the first two entries in the newspaper here.

  According to the description of the problem, you can not install Windows updates and get a non-genuine mistake. As you have mentioned that this whole issue started since 15 December, so there might be a chance that some updates to move that could cause the problem.

  The KB 3004394 which was dated December 10, 2014 update can cause additional problems on computers that run Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. This includes the inability to install future updates. This new update is available to remove KB 3004394 from your computer. Thus, there could be a chance that this update is installed on your computer that is causing the problem.

  According to my research and findings that I got to know only after you have installed the Microsoft KB3004394 update that was released on December 10, 2014 and Microsoft has disabled since the relevant updates. Some systems also provided a Windows is "not authentic" error caused by the same update.

  So try to remove this update of the updates installed, if it is installed and hide so that it can be installed in the future of its own. You can check the link below to complete the task.

  You can connect an external drive of ExFat formatted. The OSX and Windows can read/write on a disk formatted ExFat.

  A virtual machine has its advantages, as does a Boot Camp facility. A virtual machine allows the simultaneous OS, any necessary initialization to change operating systems. Data can be shared between operating systems more easily. Computer such as memory resources are shared in a VM for applications environment to run slower.

  Installation of Boot Camp allows Windows to run in native mode by using all of the system resources, so apps will go faster. But to change operating systems, a reboot is required. It is more difficult to share data.

The answer is not to reduce these volumes but to understand why thunderbird managed their fine before and what has changed to make the program hang now? Who should be on your end, taken responsibility. Keep us faithful and solve the problem...

  Here are my tips...

  A. I have several files and thousands of e-mails longer and have manged fines, as matter of fact, Thunderbird has been great. Then like a good stooge I approved the moz and did my upgrade to 38. Never had a problem before the upgrade. After the upgrade, everything went to *.

  B. the 38 version upgrade was a big change. When I look in the folder that has been labeled the envoys or Inbox folder (where all emails from each account is collected), all the emails listed would disappear when I moved my mouse over them! Emails disappearing! They were there in records specific e-mail below but not but in the case of head as if it were just a day earlier and with the upgrade. I thought that as an addition on the question and waited for the difficulty that happened not so long ago. Again, which could be a problem of record add-on.

  C. the upgrade to 38 were other issues, but if the madness going no problem was not bad enough, the problem seems to be growing with each ' update or bugfix that followed. Don't hold me to it but I think it was in 38.1.2 or 8 (I think that's it. I wasn't paying attention, but if I had known that I would have to tell it, I will!) That's when hanging interminably long. When the program closed at least I got a project saved, then I read on line that the problem was the registration of open messages, I turned the auto reduction. He did change the frequency of the hanging (white screen pause) and timing (where the B2H appears), but he was always there and always!

  D. I had hoped with 38.2 there will be improvements. Nothing has changed. I didn't know that 38.3 would make this change/fix, but it's not. If I write all this, so you have what I know as a loyal user since 2007.

  E. here is what you need to complete the picture. I'm on a PC running 8.1. on an Intel i7-4770, with 32 GB of ram, now you tell me when you will issue the update to fix the problem! Once again, Mozilla, I suggest you start by looking at how TB 38 manages several emails, files and archives. Not all of us have only one e-mail account. Most of us have been really happy with TB before 38. If you can't find the question, can you show us how to get back to a version prior to 38?
