Lenovo Y580 screen background image is locked

I can put my Shuffle back through a few images from time to time, and a day or two before, I turned on my laptop and my experience has not changed. I right click and entered in Customizing and changed the background, but the picture remained the same. I restarted my computer, but it did not work and I did have much luck in the search for information about this online.

Hi brianagara,

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.

Try one of these fix:

1. If you are using Windows 7, you can check this microsoft hotfix:

Impossible to change the background image in Windows 7

2. If you are under Windows 8 and you have upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and ran to the issue, see this article:

Enable the user to change the wallpaper in Windows 8

  • Screen background image will not stretch (or tile, etc.)

I use the version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit OS and have set a custom as my screen background image.  It displays fine, but if I right-click on the desktop and go in 'Customize', then select 'Desktop Background' and use the drop-down "image Position" menu, select "Stretch" has no effect.  None of the other selections "image Position" has no effect, either.

I put the photo as wallpaper the usual way, by right click on my photo in Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and by selecting "use as wallpaper."
It seems that something is too much on the selections of "image Position"... any ideas of what this could be?
    Thanks much for any help.

Sounds like a problem to adobe.

  • Why my screen background image get doubled in size all of a sudden?

My background image screen is all messed up.  I changed the image and now every photo, I try to set as background is too much and very grainy.  I have no idea of what happened, and I'm sure it's an easy fix... I don't know what it is.

Change your resolution to a native of your screen:

Start > Control Panel > appearance and personalization. Click personalization, click display settings. Under resolution, move the slider to the right size. If you have a laptop or a flat screen monitor, using its native resolution. Native resolution of your laptop in the documentation provided with your computer (which can be in a file on the hard drive) and will also be on the mftr computer tech support site. for your model. Native resolution of your screen will be in the documentation that came with the monitor and sometimes on the protective plastic sheet that was covering the screen.

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

  • Is it possible to copy the screen background image to 'restore' a lost image?

My wife accidentally resized the image of our daughter that we do not have a backup on however, this image is currently set as the desktop wallpaper. I hope that there is a way to recover the image by simply copying the copy of Windows that he uses as his wallpaper. Is this possible or am I out of luck?

You're out of luck if the image used as the background is the same as that which your resized wife. If resized is in a different place or was named differently, so it has not been overwritten. However, all is not entirely lost.

If you have Vista Business/Ultimate/Enterprise, you also have the functionality of previous Versions. If you have only Vista Home Basic or Premium, this feature is not available for you. Explorer shadow of third parties may be able to help, however.

I would download the latest stable version, 0.4 instead of using the beta version. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Try to STOP the constant evolution of my screen background image

Please forgive me for his appearances in this forum bareheaded, but I ripped all my hair in total annihilation.

No matter what I cannot do Win7 to stop changing my wallpaper every few minutes. I even took each picture on all the issues referred to in the window "Browse image" on the "customization" Page and AGAIN it search images and load new every few minutes. I've got pictures "erased ALL" on the page of customization without result.  I tried to change the frequency of changing the image at once every day, but even THAT can't help the recovery cycle.  I even entered in user/AppData files and deleted all the files of themes, only to have quickly rebuild themselves.

ARRRGGHHH... brilliant someone has ideas how to whip this Windows 7 in submnission?

    Hello Seatac33,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

    -Right-click Office
    -Click on customize
    -Down - click wallpaper

Make sure has only a tick in the context that you are wanting to view. If you have check marks next to several images, it automatically creates the slideshow.

    Hope this helps Chris.H

  • With regard to setting background image for all blackberry screens

    Hello friends,

I'm new to blackberry... Now I do same app for all blackberry devices...  I put a screen background image which has a size 360 * 480 pixels... But when I run this application in different simulators (i.e.) such as the 9000 and 9550 simulators it hold properly 9550 but doesn't fit in 9000...  Can u send me coding to avoid this problem.

    Thank you

    Lachkar

    You must manipulate programmatically.

In my view, use different images according to the dimensions of the scren.

Check the size of the screen of the device, and then set your BG image according to this.

  • Can I have different screen on two monitors background images?

    I use two monitors side-by-side.

There is a supply virtually unlimited background images to display, including the pre-made themes and slideshows, but no way I can find to have different images on each monitor.

    Am I missing something?

    Hello

Windows 7 doesn't have this built-in capability. There are third-party software multi-screen solutions.

I also use two monitors and I think a better ioption is to use two screens wallpaper. It is an image large enough to cover both monitors. For example, I have two monitors set in 1680 x 1050 and I use a screen background image which is 3360 x 1050 and set the tile option. It's a cool effect.

There are a lot of websites that offer these dual monitor wallpapers. Just use your favorite search engine and look for "wallpaper bi-ecrans".

    I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Windows 7
