lgimcden.dll (windows xp)

To start up I get the message next - window\lgimcden.dll module is not found. How can I fix it?

Bill

Looking for errors like this by doing a search on Google for the name of the file.  Usually, they turn up without success.

When a search in no hits or suspicious hits result, the answer is usually that the file in question is linked to the malicious software and your anti-malware application has deleted or quarantined file, but left to the Windows registry entry that tries to start the malicious software when you start your computer.

First of all, download, install, update and run full scans with two of these free analytical tools:

MalwareBytes AntiMalware
SUPERAntiSpyware

Do not run the scans at the same time.  They can take some time, so start an and then go for a non computer chore for awhile.

If the scans does not solve the problem (and they can't, because the actual malware file has already been processed), then download and run Autoruns.  Click on the "Connection" tab and look in the column 'Image path' for the dll named in your error message.  If it is not displayed in the connection tab, click the "all" tab and use the file > search tool.  A characteristic of the search of Autoruns tool is that you must move the selection under the element line "found" before you "Find Next."

Once you find the line with the file in question, either "delete" or (if you want to be safer) uncheck the box.  The latter prevents the line running, but you can reactivate it later by removing the check mark.

    Original title: Reinstall: MapI32.dll (Windows Search.exe)

    After the installation of the update of Windows 8 for Windows XP, I get an error dialog box that indicates that I have to reinstall MapI32.dll (Windows Search.exe). How do I reinstall and why this happens?

    Thank you.

    E-mail address is removed from the privacy *.

    I can assure you with certainty at 100% none of Microsoft has 'expert' ideas Support Engineer will not replace a missing mapi32.dll file.

    These ideas are just more of their wild goose hunting to waste your time and get the points by posting useless ideas, not tested until they have links to the KB articles which will not work.

    First, nor fashion all safe or clean boot replaces a missing file.

    Second of all, the System File Checker don't know or don't care that file - and for the millionth time, I repeat is not what SFC/scannow, this isn't how it works and it's not what it is for.

    Everything that this alleged "expert" needs to do is re-create the problem (which takes about 10 seconds) and to apply their own prosecution goose to see that none of these ideas will help.

    Perhaps one day, these 'experts' will learn how XP works.

    If I were Microsoft, I'd be embarrassed and ashamed of these representatives (then I would lay off).

    If you mean that you see a message like this:

    WindowsSearch.exe - Unable to locate component
    This application has failed to start because the MAPI32.dll file not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

    If the file is missing, it may have been quarantined (effectively removed) by your antimalware/antivirus application not specified on your unspecified brand system and model with unspecified XP version and unspecified Service Pack, but you can replace it.

    I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

    You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32

    Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    https://SkyDrive.live.com/?CID=6a7e789cab1d6f39&ID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

    When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

    When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

    You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file named mapi32 when the name of the file should really be called mapi32.dll (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

    You then put the files downloaded to the appropriate on your system folder.

    That may not solve all your problems, but at least you will be spending this part and we can then fix the rest.

  • avfoundationcf.dll windows 7 error 126 with Itunes

    Original title: avfoundationcf.dll windows 7 error 126

    I think it's a question of ITunes but I tried everything with them.  I get "windows 7 error 126 avfoundationcf.dll" & Corefoundation.dll"not found - online, I see patches to repair Windows 7 - is this desirable?  If so, how?

    I think, I found a solution (it helped me):

    OK I GOT IT! with the help of reading the previous posts above.

    Here's what I did:

    1. run Add/Remove (Panel).

    2 uninstall all THE programs Apple (itunes says to start with itunes and quick time, Hello and then finally AMDS (cradle mobile apple). you may need to close the Add/Remove program and reopen it so that the amendments will not appear on the list.)

    3. RESTART/REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER!

    4. go to itunes.com, download the most recent version, save it on your desktop, RIGHT click the icon and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

    5. when itunes is finished installing, * DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT * click on end right now.

    6. connect your device (iphone, ipod) to the USB cord, you will see a popup window in the lower right... it's your computer, research and the installation of the device driver.

    7. once the driver is installed, you can click FINISH on the itunes Installer.

  • API dll windows 10 teststand 2014 SP1

    Hello

    I'm looking for a solution to my problem a few hours ago, but I found nothing. I'm working on Teststand 2014 SP1 32 bit with a windows 10.

    I did a sequence on the same version of teststand on a windows 7, but I now have a windows 10. I opened my sequence (which worked fine on W7) on W10, but when I am executing it I got the following message.

    http://PUU.sh/pizsw/deabdd594d.PNG

    I tried to install the SDK W10 and some versions of Visual studio, but did not work. On my 64-bit version, I got another message that seems normal cause he says TS is unable to open my 32-bit dll.

    I think I forgot to install something but I don't know what, if soemone found a solution to this problem must be large to share =)

    Best regards

    Guillaume

    It would be wise for you to recompile DLL - 07_modbus.dll to work on Windows 10.  It looks like all of its dependencies are specific to W7.

    Kind regards

    A1. Wise move IMHO. The computer seems "snappier" now?

    In fact, there is something else you may need to do: it turns out that KB2607712 is replaced by the KB2616676 in Vista & Win7; Windows XP needs to have both installed [despite the mention you referred in your post on September 14, above] !!!

    => So if Update for Windows XP (KB2607712) is NOT listed in Add/Remove Programs, you will need to manually download/install a revised version [long story, involved - you don't want to know]:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ACTIONS:
    1. open Internet Explorer to http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=27244 & click on the button CONTINUE.
    2. after VALIDATION, download the installer for KB2607712 & save it to your desktop - NOT run again!
    3. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
    4. double-click on the file that you saved in #2 above to install the update. Follow all the instructions (reboot required).
    5. check that the Update for Windows XP (KB2607712) is now listed in Add/Remove programs.
    PS: If you have NO Office or Silverlight or any installed Windows Live Essentials application, I can tell you how to start your Windows XP computer & full load more quickly.
  • Error code 0 x 80004004 file dll Windows 7 error
    * Original title: Dll file error
    I have a compaq presario 2000v with windows 7. For three weeks he would not even the option of much less put Bios in place. Maybe give too much info, but here goes. Tried to do to reinstall win 7 x 32 bit disc no good. Don't know why but connected to the xbox 360 Wireless network adapter and it finally started and began to read the disc. Got straight to the point of failure weeks. Do not know with certainty if the adapter has helped who cares? Anyway had a read error so I went to windows defender after removing the adapter AND disc to analyze the error found in almost 90% of the said analysis "program cannot verify updates definition error 0 x 80004004.» Abandoned operation. '' FYI: definition antispy 1.217.2394.0. Help, please... What should I do now
    Maybe give too much info, but here goes.
    In fact, not enough information.
    What is your subject ("Dll file error") relate?  Please provide the full text of the message.
    What sort of "win 7 x 32 bit disc" did you use?  Retail purchased the Windows 7 installation DVD, "restore" from the manufacturer, a sort of "repair" disc disc?
    What was the "point of failure months ago"?
    "Got a read error" means that at some point, do what was your ' win 7 x 32 bit disc ", the computer reported an error of the disc?  The procedure launched?  Is Windows 7 works when even (seems so if you were able to start Windows Defender)?
    "Went to windows defender after removing the adapter AND disc analysis" means that you swept malware using Windows Defender your hard drives?  If so, you have reason to believe that your system is infected?  Please provide details.
    If you have removed your wireless network adapter, how the computer is connected to the Internet?  You will reach the common Web sites, for example, Google?
    Any other software antivirus or antimalware software is installed?  If Yes, what?
    Hello
    Have you been able to set up the device with Windows Mobile Device Center? I think that what happens here is that the GPS device trying to use Activesync which Palcouk already explained is not compatible with Windows 7. It is looking this .dll file that is specific for Activesync.
    I hope that once you configure the device using Windows Mobile Device Center, it will search is no longer this .dll file and the messages will be stopped.
    I am using Windows 7 32 bit
    Any ideas on how to solve this problem.
    Thank you in advance.
    Resolve the problem by uninstalling intellipoint a synaptics driver software in Add Remove programs. There is an incompatibility between these two software.
    After you remove the software I installed the latest version of the Synaptics touchpad driver I installed direct driver update the Device Manager files extracted from Lenovo Touchpad Synaptics file 89te11ww\Synaptics\WinWDF\x64 and 64-bit Microsoft Intellipoint
    This completely solves the problem with the windows common dll shell has stopped working message.
    Try it.
  • Windows Search.exe error "missing uncdms.dll" Windows 7
    I spent the better part of 12 hours today trying everything to get rid of this error message - including purchases and execution of two different registry cleaners. I tried to turn it off in Control Panel and then restart and turning back, as suggested in this forum. I even completely reinstalled Windows 7, who came back to defeat a group of earlier work. Nothing works - it's still there every time to reboot.
    Tried to manually install the online source .dll file - it wouldn't take it.
    I have a computer customized brand new with Windows 7 as an original clean install. He did not, until I migrated the files and the settings to my XP machine. I have subsequently removed all programs possible and which comes from the old computer (which, BTW, worked great) - all that's left are my photos and document files. I bought the computer and Windows 7, more precisely to upgrade my Adobe CS5 programs.
    I have another computer with Vista, which I did not like much at first, but it only took a few hours to beat him into submission, and we've been friends since. So far Windows 7 is a nightmare. (Enough to make me run screaming on the Mac.)
    In addition, he continues to move my desktop icons around regardsless the display settings (line up on the grid and auto align) be deselected. Grrr!
    I might have a Windows 7 installation disc buggy? Others have these problems? There, can anyone help?
    Dianne
    By selecting Start, control PaneWindowsl, programs and features, Windows features and uncheck Windows Search, I suspect that will stop the error. In earlier versions of Windows, Windows Desktop Search (now called Search) is a stand-alone program. With Windows 7, it became a turn on / turn off the function of the operating system. My feeling is that it changes the way your problem is solved.
    I would try to run the System File Checker.
