Library of InDesign changes the font?

I am new to using libraries of ID (but not ID) and I came across a problem.  In a previous project I loaded different objects in the library.  When I started my new document where I need to use these objects, it changes the police in Helvetica Neue (T1) objects to Helvetica Neue (TT).

Will replace the police works very well and everything seems normal, but I don't want to do every time I have to add one of these objects.  How can I get it just work and keep the original Helvetica Neue?

Thank you very much in advance!

PJ

Sorry all, ended up getting it to work.  Just need to close ID, remove and reload my folder of fonts in the Document and reopen the ID.  Seems to work fine now.

Thank you

PJ

  • Impossible to change the font in the Indesign text box

    In Indesign (cs4): when I scored the textbox control, and a wish to change the font, I have the last two days as I click on the new police experienced that I desire, but the police does not change. I have to close Indesign, and then I can change the font. ... for a while, and then it happens again, and I must close Adobe again. What is going on?

  • change the font size of the panels in indesign

    How can I change the size of the font of the control panel and all the other panels in indesign 5.5. I tried to change the default windows desktop, but that does not all Adobe products.

    I'm afraid there is no way to change the font size. Several people here have asked the same thing. More recently, with the latest version of ID where the menus look tiny unless you have a high resolution/large monitor size.

  • Using Wizard of the Action to change the font in the drop-down list box

    Acrobat Pro DC on a MAC under OS X 10.11.6

    I have a form that is mainly created in Indesign (it works for us - I know that others prefer to locate forms purely in Acrobat).

    I have a script I can run through the wizard of the Action (run a javascript script) to change the font in all fields in text form. But being a novice script that I can not understand how to create a similar script that will change the font used by drop-down list boxes (created in Indesign). Is it possible by a script?

    I know I can do it manually through the properties, but if someone can give me a pointer to find a way to do it with a script that would be amazing!

    Thank you

    The script can be changed to:

    for (var i = 0; i)< numfields;="" i++)="">

    var f = getField (getNthFieldName (i));

    If (f.type = 'text' | f.type = "combobox") {}

    f.textFont = "Arial";

    f.textSize = "10";

    }

    }

    But now I have to ask, what are your reasons to use Arial instead of Helvetica?

  • Change the font in the interactive fields in Adobe Acrobat

    I've set up a form in InDesign CC, with interactive fields. I exported and opened in Adobe Acrobat and it works very well. The only problem is I want to change the font in the fields of interactive text to Arial rather than Times New Roman. How can I do this?

    Go to tools - form prepare and then select the fields, right-click on one of them and select Properties. You will be able to set the font of the text on the appearance tab.

  • Imported text formatting disappears when you change the font in the character palette.

    Something seems to have changed with my InDesign, and I don't know why. Here's what I used to be able to do.

    I could import a word doc into a text box. This text would be bold italic, regular, fonts. I choose the text box, and then change the font using the character palette by changing just the upper box of the police. For example, if the police imported as Helvetica, but I wanted to be all Futura, I check the box and then simply type Futura and all bold Helvetica would become "BOLD" Futura, and italic Helvetica became Futura Italic, etc.. I didn't have to select each row.

    Now if I try to do the same thing, when I select Futura, it changes just ANY text to regular Futura. I lose all the precedents of the formatting that was imported from the word doc.

    I hope this makes sense.

    Help, please! It's maddening! Not a big deal to design unique flyer but when laying on a book, it could represent DAYS on the project.

  • How can I change the font in several capacities, at the same time?

    Hey guys, quick question. I have a bunch of titles and of lower thirds in my project and my producer decided that he did not like the police that we used previously and wants to change to a new one. It seems to do quite often. Is there a way to "globally" to change the font of several title cards at the same time instead of clicking on each of them separately and do it manually for each of them? And if there is no way to do that does anyone have any ideas on how to make it easier?

  • change the font of text created by createTextField();

    Hello!

    I do a little flash game for a project at school. Because for some reason, it did not work with the creation of a textfield in design, I created the textfield with this piece of code:

    var literWater = 1250;

    var gramGraan = 1000;

    createTextField ("nogDoen", 1,50,50,300,100);

    function nog()

    {

    nogDoen.text = "I moet nog" + literWater + "en water litre '+ gramGraan +"gram graan verplaatsen.";"

    }

    Nog();

    Now what I don't understand, is how to change the font of this textfield. I wish it were something like Arial, 30pt. How should I do this?

    Thanks in advance!

    You must use the textformat class to create a new instance of the textformat.  You can then assign properties (font and size) to the textformat instance and finally, set the textformat instance to your textfield.  In addition, you must embed your policy in your library, which is a multi-step process.

    your actionscript code should look like:

    var tfor:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
    Tfor.font = "ArialID";  It must match the id of a police liaison in your library
    Tfor.Size = 30;

    var tf:TextField = this.createTextField("tf",1,0,0,300,40);

    tf.embedFonts = true;
    tf.setNewTextFormat (tfor);  or use setTextFormat() If you text assignments before tfor assiging to tf

  • Possibility to change the fonts of the text variables in the headers?

    I want to change the appearance of text variables in my head. I have my name of document and other variables in my head, but I would like to change the fonts. Is this possible?

    A variable is treated as a single character, so it can be decorated using the paragraph style or a character style, or if you want to get clever, you can use a nested character style or GREP style in the paragraph style.

    I think you're ready to buy a good book. Sandee Cohen's quick start guide is a resource of great beginner, and I think you are advanced enough that Real World InDesign can be a good investment.

  • PDF fillable where the customer can add text AND change the fonts?

    Hello

    I would like to be able to provide my clients with editable poster templates. I created in InDesign posters, with a large white space in the middle where they can add their own texts, and when they're done, they can send them to the printer. The problem is, I just want to give them - in PDF print quality, so they don't mess up my share of the design (in addition, they are not sufficiently advanced to use indesign or illustrator or something like that).

    I tried implementing a PDF file using a text field, but it won't work. When the customer type in the text field, they will not be able to change the size of font, color, weight, etc.

    Is there some sort of 3rd party plugin that will allow me to create PDF files to fill live where the customer can indeed choose their fonts & things when they fill in their info?

    Thank you!

    Bernd: rich text only allows to apply bold, italic, exposing. It does not allow the user to make the text larger or to change the font.

    When I type ctrl-e in the area I can change the font and the font size.

  • change the font...

    myTextFormat = new TextFormat();
    myTextFormat.align = 'right';

    {myButton.onRelease = function ()}
    textBox.setTextFormat (myTextFormat) ;}

    It works... However when instead I try and change the face of the police instead...

    myTextFormat = new TextFormat();
    myTextFormat.font = "Arial";

    {myButton.onRelease = function ()}
    textBox.setTextFormat (myTextFormat) ;}

    This does not change the font to arial. Instead the text disappears. Any ideas?
    I've embedded the fonts I use.
    Thanks to stakeholders. J

    to embed a font for use with actionscript, you must right-click on the top corner of the library panel, click New font, select the font to use, give it a name that you can remember and click ok.

    your font is now added to your library. Right-click on it, click on the link, export of ticks for actionscript and assign a link id. now, use this connection id to set the property make your textformat object.
