  I'm about to update our Cisco workload to 6.2.3 SP3 automation software.  I test in a Windows Server 2008 R2 / Sandbox of SQL environment.

  What I've done so far:

  1A licensed by demonstration
  2. in the configuration of the VM Windows Sandbox
  3 copied the Admiral and YOUR Cache DB of our Non-PROD environment in the sandbox
  4 installed the production version of YOUR Windows VM Sandbox Server 6.0.3
  5 cleared the CACHE YOUR database
  6a started the master on the sandbox

  Results: The master starts then stops after about 30 seconds with the following error in the log file: "this master: is not allowed to run as a standalone master on this machine: .»

  Note: The server A is our Non-Prod server we use to before deployment.  Sandbox SERVER is VM environment for YOUR testing.

  I can't find out where its getting data from the server of Non-Prod.  I've already updated the nodmst_name and the nodmst_alias on the dbo.nodmst table to reflect the current sandbox server.  What other area is the master to get the server information from?

  To clear the existing license of your Non-Prod environment

  REMOVE THE sysval WHERE sysval_id in ('29 ', ' 30')

  UPDATE nodmst SET nodmst_license = ' ' -erase this and when you apply the demo license this will fill

  To enable fault tolerance out of the running the SQL below on your Non-PROD database,

  UPDATE set sysval_string = sysval ' not where sysval_id = 21

  And finally, check the nodmst_alias and the nodmst_name for SERVER SANDBOX

• Cisco ISE - alarm expired license demo

  Hello

  We are implementing Cisco ISE 1.2.0.899 and report alarm license expires. This alarm refers to the demo of Advanced license and is therefore a false positive.

  This issue is that we cannot delete the demo travel and stop the root cause of this false positive alert.

  Anyone have an idea?

  I noticed a strange activity with regard to the user with the PIX license features.

  I have two networks interconnected via VPN. One side is a 515 (unrestricted) the other is a 501 (50 users). I noticed that if I do a scan of ICMP ping against the 501 internal network IP range, I use all licenses of connection on their PIX, even if I have only 30 physical machines on that network.

  This seems a little strange to me. Anyone encountered this before? Even if no computer used the majority of the address space that has been surveyed, the PIX takes each IP address as a user license and restricted access for all connections more.

  I think it would have been more logical to expect an ARP entry is created successfully to be able to count against the license of the user on the device. Someone at - he comments?

  It is an expected behavior, although some might say it's a little weird.

  The ping packet is allowed through because it is part of the VPN tunnel (I guess you have the command "sysopt connection permit-ipsec" in place which allows any package IPSec in). As the packet passes through the PIX and a conn/xlate is created, the PIX legitimately consumes a license for it, regardless of whether the package is actually answered or not. Change this behavior would change the entire concept of the licensing operation. Note that this wouldn't happen if someone on the Internet (not on the VPN tunnel) did a ping sweep, cause the package would have fallen to the external interface and no xlate/conn would be created for her.

  You could lower your xlate/conn timeout to 5 minutes, or how they'll expire faster and free licenses, but at this stage the PIX does what he is told to do and it is to use a license for a host with an xlate/conn. Unfortunately with him coming in via a VPN, has no way for him to say if this host is really or does not before creating the xlate/conn.

  You don't have to do anything to transfer the license.  You transfer the rights to use the image to your client and they must comply with the terms of the license & restrictions on use.  If you then wanted to use the same image for another client, you will need to allow the image again.

  The problem you have is that someone has, at some point in the past, installed a copy of HP OEM of Windows 7 Home Premium on a Dell computer. Microsoft license agreement restrict the installation of a copy of HP OEM of Windows 7 on a HP computer. So your installed copy of Windows 7 is a counterfeit.

  Your computer date of 2007, two years before the introduction of Windows 7. The original operating system when purchased new, would have been Windows XP or Vista. You could go back to one of those if you have a recovery disk; otherwise, you will need to purchase a new copy of Windows.

  First of all, don't know why you use an intermediate version of 9.0. You must use a version of FCS such as 9.0.1.10000 - 37. Second, it looks like this are IPVMSA newspapers that you shot? There is an internal fault for the errors you see:

  Fixed in versions:

  009.000 (000.99121.003)

  I suggest you to install 9.0.1.10000 - 37 who should have a fix for this problem.
