• Lightroom matter pictures of bad record

  I was importing lots of photos of my hard drive in lightroom and move/rename the in the process. I've only had lightroom a few weeks ago.

  It worked well but I recently imported hundreds of photos on my iphone and do the same thing - move and rename. The problem is these pictures continue to go in 2009, instead of the files folder 2012 or 2013 than they should be. When I look at the pictures, they have the right name and the capture date seems to be OK, its just lightroom keeps wanting to put them in the right folder per year. Does someone understand why this could happen?

  naturally I want that all my photos sorted into folders to the correct date because that's the way ive decided to organize my photos...

  scratch that last post... just changed import string to users/me/my images and all the photos went to correct year - computer files is slow a little so that failed very quickly the first time. There are a lot of things to get around your head with learning this program, although I appreciate his sense fairly common all its always easy to do, little (or big) mistakes! glad I asked if, as I can't noticed that my import file was wrong.

  The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parent folders, or the reader, he feeds has been a change to the drive letter.   He has no such limit, and in fact some users in this domain and other forums report catalogues over 1/2 million pictures works well.

  The idea to create multiple catalogs because you don't want to get too big catalog file size is a bad idea that you should never think of it again.

• Message outlook to PDF conversion: change the name of the default file to the time instead of the subject?

  I have a large amout of email that I convert to PDF using a plug-in in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI through messages Outlook 2010.  I don't want a portfolio created, rather a single pdf file.  I've been open every message and conversion to pdf format, rename the file with date/time (subject line is the default file name), can I combine PDF mutiple files in a single document.  This process would go a lot faster if I could change the file name by default at the time, rather than rename them myself.  Does anyone have an idea on how to change this setting?  Or any other ideas to make this process easier?

  In Outlook 2010, when you click on the tab 'Adobe PDF' there is an option "change Conversion settings.

  In the present, uncheck the option "Output Adobe PDF portfolio when creating a new PDF file".

  You can now select the mails in outlook and convert to PDF and all selected emails would get combined into a single pdf file.

  I need to restore a single file from a Time Machine backup of Yosemite to my new iMac El Capitan.  The file in question has been saved from a Mac Pro from 2008 to a Time Capsule.  I put Time Machine in the dock and right clicked on it, so I could navigate "Other Time Machine disks" and I am able to see the Mac Pro to backup, then select it.  However when loading the backup, it's for my new iMac and not for the Mac Pro.

  To be honest, the easiest is to go through the Finder. Navigate to the document you want and copy. Then simply paste it where you want.

  The finder will allow you to see all of the back-ups no matter the OS at the time.

• I need to know the file current date/time number stamp and the version of "spoolsv.exe" in Vista Home Premium 32-bit with SP2.

My spooler file got corrupted and I need to know what that the stamp of date/time on the latest version of the file: spoolsv.exe. I did a search on my hard drive and found 8 copies of the file with 7 different dates. I need to know which copy in my file C:\windows\system32\. I suspect that the problem was caused by some kind of malware. I think that some of the different versions on my machine of the initial installation of the Vista, SP1 and SP2. 3 copies that would explain. I tried all the suggestions in this forum and several others. I tried sfc/scannow and it simply replaces the corrupted file by another. I understand how works this file and a simple copy will do the trick if I knew that the file to use. I know that I don't want to go back to the first version of 2006.  BTW... my symptoms are all my printers have disappeared, and when I try to 'add a new printer' I get an error message saying that my spooler service does not work. When I opened my services window it shows that indeed, he is arrested, but I will not start because the description column contains only the code garbled machine indicating that the file is corrupted, or it may contain a virus. I had been using F-Prot until this virus got by and now I use AVG. I scanned my machine with several cleaning packages and it is is more infected, but I worry that from this corrupt file grow something.   I'm trying to use file of a file modification date/time to fix a system of synchronization between a blackberry and a PC. However, the date/time of the file is not updated as I expected.

  The following occurs:

  -Using a program, a file is modifidied to make more than 100 bytes.

  -> When checking for windows Explorer (using the mass storage mode to access the file) the change date is updated

  -Using the same program, the file is changed to be the shorter of 50 bytes.

  -> When checking for windows Explorer, the change date is NOT updated

  -Using the same program, the file is modified to be more than 20 bytes.

  -> When checking for windows Explorer, the change date is NOT updated

  -Using the same program, the file is modified to be more than 100 bytes. It is now longer that he has never been.

  -> When checking for windows Explorer, the change date is updated

  Yes, delete the file is kind of a workaround. Last updated date/time will be correct. Created date/time will be of course lost, however, since the time created is generally much less important that her last updated date/time is better.

• Lightroom corrupt files after making an overview

  This has happened once or twice in the past and there, but the other day, it seems as if all the image 'previews' Lightroom Raw files begins to corrupt. (I have attached a screenshot of the number). My Lightroom is up-to-date and I reset all my settings, and I'm still not sure what the question is who is the origin of the problem.

  

  Basically when I open Lightroom library shows all the images correctly, then one by one any image that is on the screen gets all wacky (as shown). If I scroll to view more images, the problem repeats. Don't know what to do at this point because I don't want to corrupt the other files. Anyone know if it is a hard drive problem or a software problem?

  I am able to access the files Raw in Photoshop and able to display a preview of the image in the Finder. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  I'm more concerned about the recent shoot with 500 + photos that have already been transferred the disk hard and since been removed from the SD card.

  Try to restore the photos of backups. Develop a different strategy where the photos are on the cards until you are sure that they are not corrupt AND backed up on a different hard disk (you know that they are not corrupted if Lightroom displays previews without corruption).
