Lightroom 6 and Canon EFS 10-18mm?

I've just updated the LR5 to LR6. I was hoping that Adobe would have included the fantastic lens Canon ef-s 10-18mm lens profiles. Unfortunately, this isn't. As a real estate photographer, this goal is my bread and butter. How can you accommodate those of us who need this feature?

You're shooting raw or jpeg. Most of the profiles appear when shooting in raw. It is there. See the image below.

  • We have lightroom 3 and Canon 7 d Mark II

We have lighroom 3 installed on our Mac.

My husband bought a new Canon 7 D Mark II camera and Lightroom 3 does not recognize photos.

If we install Lightroom 6 will be all the photos on 3 automatically flip over?

    Help!

    Thank you.

During the installation of LR 6 process you will be asked if you want to create a version of your catalog of LR 3 update.

If you agree then a copy of the catalogue will be who will be compatible with LR 6. In addition the "previews files" will be compatible with version 6.

I don't know what you mean by "return"?

The catalog file does not actually contain the photos is just a property file that contains the info as to where the files are located and the work you did with them in Lightroom.

Your original files will remain just where you backed them up and will do no "flipping."

  • I have Lightroom 3 and Canon EOS 70 d. Support of RAW files?

My version of Lightroom does not support the RAW files from my camera, Canon 70 d. Should I buy the new version of Lightroom, or is it possible to upgrade? Thank you

Yes, you need to purchase the upgrade to the new version of Lightroom, because this device is not supported with Lightroom 3.

  • Lightroom and Canon DPP 4.5

Perfecting a new workflow for my images. I would like to import my. Raw CR2 files in lightroom unaltered, scroll and cull those I don't want to use the features of bright rooms. I find Lightroom excellent functionality and I am used to it.

So, ideally, I would like to deal with, or have the option of treatment, in DPP rather than Lightroom raw files. I can use lightroom development module rather (will do my own experiences), but as the ability to use both Canon. I would like to make the same way I use photoshop, i.e. "change in" and have put in place for that DPP. Unfortunately, when I try to put in place, I don't get the option to send the raw (.cr2) PPD files. The only options are .jpg, .tiff, etc.. Of course DPP deals only raw files, so I'm stuck.

Once the raw files are processed, I can refine it into Photoshop as you wish.

If I understand now, I can shoot files in lightroom and then must open DPP separately to make my raw editing, then translate the in lightroom to backup the database and end in photoshop, if necessary. I do a lot of panos pictures of sew and this workflow seems to be a pain / redundant.

Someone there suggestions in how to do?

That you have discovered, a workflow using Lightroom and Canon DPP on RAW images won't be good at all. These software are not designed to work with one another (the opposite of LR and Photoshop, which are designed to work together).

So, since you asked for suggestions, my suggestion is not what you want to hear, but nevertheless it is my suggestion: don't do this. Do all the work in LR, or all the work in the DPP, but not a combination of both. You will save a huge amount of time and frustration.

  • Is it possible to use Lightroom 5 and CC2015 on the same machine?

The reason I ask, is that I have a Canon 5Dsr incoming and raw files are only achievable on CC2015 but I use cursors for Lightroom 5 (and there is no way to use the CC2015 on the right).

When I install CC2015 apparently mees my install LR5 upward.

Yes. But why would you? The catalog files are not compatible. Cannot open a LR 6 catalogue in LR 5.

  • Their impression of Lightroom 4 for Canon Pixma Pro 9000 MK II

I tried to print from Lightroom to a Canon Pixma Pro 9000 MK II 4.   Every time I try to print via try it before (to the canvas), I get an error message (code 1281) and I can't print.   I tried a few different papers as canvas and give them the same error code.

I also tried printing from Elements 9 with the same problem.

I can print via try it before using the own Canon, Easy Print Pro software, but I can't soft proof of the image first, and can't do the correct image size or the other.

Anyone have an idea how I can get around this problem?

I spoke to Canon, and they passed the ball saying that I can print using their software, it is a question of Adobe.

Printer: Canon Pixma Pro 9000 MKII

    Software: Adobe Lightroom 4

    Operating system: OSX Lion

    Thanks for your help.

Finally managed to get my image printed on canvas.

  • Will be my changes Lightroom RAW and usable by the Adobe programs no data collections?

Hello.  I have a few questions that I was not able to specify, so I hope someone out there can help me out.  I learned about Adobe Lightroom 3, and I have a few questions.  Basically, I understand how the program works, but I need to know the following.

-First question: my montages (in Lightroom) to my images (changes of wb, color, contrast, etc) on my files DNG or NAVE & XMP can be opened and edited by programs that are not by Adobe?  I know that I can export the RAW files to JPEG, TIFF or PNG, but the RAW of Lightroom edited files can be used later by a non Adobe like Bibble software?

-Second issue: my Lightroom database (matadata, keywords, rankings, catalogue, collections, etc.) can be used by programs other than those by Adobe, such as Bibble?

The reason why I ask is to clarify if my Lightroom RAW file edits and data collections will be nothing outside the universe of Adobe?

Thanks for any help you might be able to shine on the question.  I appreciate it.

    Will,

1 n ° If another program can read the changes in lightroom and apply them exactly like lightroom, this program will be lightroom. There is no canonical target for a raw file rendering. Each rendition is based on what some thought better developers and is purely a matter of opinion. And no no adobe program attempts even to read data from change in lightroom.

2 No. kind of. I think metadata, such as keywords, IPTC and rankings stuff are standardized and can be read by most of the things. Collections, such as virtual copies are held only in the catalog.

That said, Lightroom does as good raw files work rendered as anything out there, and personally, I don't see any reason I would like the answer to any of these questions to be Yes.

  • Display of the 70 d Microsoft OneDrive and Canon RAW files problem

    Hello guys,.

I have a Canon 450 d and I was really surprised that my RAW files (*.) CR2) were posted on Microsoft OneDrive without making a JPG files.

    It's really cool!

A few weeks ago, I get my new Canon 70 d.
I download my RAW files (*.) CR2 also) on OneDrive and the file does not appear.

Simply put, you will find two files here:

    http://1drv.Ms/1qvndZW

I have all ready ask for support on their forum: here

But they ask me to ask you...

By chance, has Cannon changed their. Format of files CR2 that explain Microsoft must update their "converter"?

Thanks in advance for your time!

If you want a OneDrive space, you can use my referral link or Bing OneDrive ;-)

Camera RAW is more of a 'concept' as a specific standard.   The idea behind a RAW file, is that the unloaded data in the chip will not be altered in a way that results in a loss of original data.

JPEG images using a compression algorithm "with losses" that standardize data when the differences are so subtle as your eye probably would not have noticed the difference.  But when images are adjusted, subtle differences can be "stretched" and the loss of the original data can affect the ability to adjust the image later and still get good results.

BUT... as all the cameras may have a sensor of difference, at different resolutions, etc. the method necessary to decode a RAW file and display the image may be different literally on a model by model basis.  When you work with RAW files, you must always the specific codec that very model camera... not just "any". CR2 codec will work.  It is the same with all other brands of cameras as well.

Microsoft does not include updates to camera RAW in the default value of the OS updates that you can apply to your computer on a regular basis (Apple made... every two months, I get a camera RAW update and if I read the notes, it will have a list of the new camera models on the market for which they have added RAW support).    But Microsoft DOES make the FIRST available updates... they are just not automatic.  Go download and install them.

See this link on the Microsoft Web site: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2899189

If you look to the bottom of the page on this link, you will notice a list of cameras why they added RAW support and Canon 70 d is among them.

  • Owners of a Lightroom 6 and Lightroom CC

Is - redundant to buy Lightroom CC and 6 Lightroom? When I travel I often have difficulties to access the Internet. I understand that I can work offline for 30 days without access to the internet, so that Adobe can check to see if my account is up to date. In addition, given that I bought both and downloaded accordingly, I expected to be able to see the two CC with Lightroom and Lightroom 6 in my applications list and use both, but whenever I try to access 6 Lightroom, I Lightroom CC. in my account of the documents that I have bought and downloaded 6 Lightroom, all I can find is CC with Lightroom. I have a MacBook Pro with OX S Yosemite.

Region 6 LR and LR CC exactly the same program. Files same get installed on your drive no matter what/who version you are installing.

Here's how the 2 versions are separated.

The difference comes in how you connect to LR.

If you use an Adobe ID which is, or has already been, associated membership of photographers (even if the subscription is completed), it then becomes the CC version.

If you sign with a id Adobe that is NOT and never has been, associated with a subscription plan then the program becomes the version 6

If you need to have 2 separate Adobe ID to have the CC and version 6 active. You can do that on a single computer at the same time.

But if you have 2 separate Adobe ID you can sign Out with one and sign in with the other. Who would turn LR of CC to 6 or 6 CC depending on which one you used to sign out of and sign back with, subscription ID or no subscription ID.

I have both. Don't ask my why because ultimately I don't really know why I bought the upgrade to version 6. I have a subscription.

  • What should I download lightroom 5 and pay for it, if I already have lightroom 4? [was: upgrade]

What should I download lightroom 5 and pay for it, if I already have lightroom 4?

Yes. 5 Lightroom is a paid upgrade.

Adobe sells more than version 5. Lightroom 6 is the current version and is also a paid upgrade.
