Lightroom duplication of images

I have a problem with Lightroom that just started happening.

In my catalog, I see two of the same image for some reason, see below.

Capture1.JPG

These are the same images with the same file name (800-0-12430 - R2.psd) and in the same place (the folder is WHITBY)

When I go to the folder in question there is a single image with the file name, so I don't see where Lightroom becomes second.

Capture2.JPG

I tried to remove the duplicates, but when I sync the folder they reappear.

I don't import suspected duplicates ticked.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestions, I checked the integrity of the catalog, and it did not come with errors.

Ultimately I made a new catalog records into the new catalog and this time there is no duplicates!

You can set this camera to various Image Ratio - 1:1, 5:4, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9

You set your ratio desired for JPG images.

Lightroom imports the image of full 4000 x 3000 sensor size (4:3) and applies to the culture according to 'Camera' Image ratio (16:9, perhaps).

Set camera Image ratio 4:3 in the menu of the camera and you have the problem of harvest.

    Hello

Please go to the library Module, then click on the picture in the Menu bar and then click the stacking.

From there please select expand all stack them.

It should show all the images if they are virtual copies.

  • Lightroom stores the images.

I was working on the images (which took forever since I'm a beginner) for a few days. Whenever I open Lightroom the images were there. I imported by mistake a few others and I can't not find the original images, I was working on that. All this work seems to have disappeared. I can't find them anywhere (only originals on the hard disk) even when I try to find the newest. I wonder lightroom stores the images actually in the software that I can access or can I only find them on the hard drive. A little frustrating to have lost all that work. I don't know if I knew what I was doing it does not seem so difficult :)  Does not seem to flow easily.  I lost all the changes?   What exactly is a catalog. Is this just something that is created to the time that you are working on images or keeps it really images?  Thank you for your help. Very much appreciated.

  • Variance between Lightroom and Photoshop image

I often export my work from Lightroom for retouching in Photoshop.  When the image opens in Photoshop, it is not as bright and vibrant as the image view in Lightroom.  I have nothing in Photoshop can restore the image to its counterpart in Lightroom.

I am running Windows 10 and Adobe CC 2015.5.  My screen is a 24 "LED-backlit Dell U2413, calibrated with Spyder5pro. I export images from Lightroom to matte printing paper as sRGB as JPEG with a quality set at 100 and the resolution to 300.

If I find the image exported to any other viewing application, Lightroom Jpeg seems well.  It doesn't seem bad until it hits Photoshop.  I have not even to save in Photoshop. It looks like offshore as soon as it opens.  Is there a setting in Photoshop I'm wrong I don't understand or know?

I'll try to include a screenshot of the two for a side-by-side comparison.

    AdobePSvLR.jpg

When Lightroom and Photoshop the colors do not match, it is usually caused by a defective monitor profile.

Did you upgrade to Windows 10? If so, have you done a calibration since the upgrade?

Windows 10 is known to install the manufacturer monitor profiles, which tend to be of poor quality and will replace all current profile.

It is also possible that a profile you created by calibration can be damaged.

As your monitor seems to be a wide range (which means about Adobe RGB), try to set the monitor in Adobe RGB profile.

Press the Windows key + R, type colorcpl in the box and press ENTER.

This will open the color management dialog box, and you can now see what profile is set as the default, which will tell you if Windows has replaced the original profile, or if your calibrated profile is always default.

Now follow the instructions in the screenshots below, and make sure you check out use my settings for this device.

If this solves the problem. re - calibrate with your Spyder.

    When importing:

    After clicking on develop

You can also try to update the graphics driver and then try turning on the graphics processor.

If this does not help, just leave it turned off.

  • Lightroom for web - images is displayed in the right order

Images from the collection synchronized on lightroom for web show in a different order on the web, I do something wrong, or is this the case?

    Hi magicgenie,

Well, it must synchronize in the same order that they were added to the collection on the desktop app and you can sort them further.

If its not to do it, you can remove data from the Lightroom Web synchronization and re - sync only collection that is necessary.

    Open Lightroom

Go to preferences > Lightroom Mobile > delete all data

I used Photoshop and Lightroom for years and upgraded to CC about 6 months ago.  I just got a new computer and downloaded Lightroom and Photoshop CC on the new machine.  In Lightroom, when I send a picture to the develop module, all I get is a blue screen, where the image should be.  The navigation signs and develop panels show very well, but the image does not appear on the main screen.  It appears in the browser.  What's up with that?

Disable the CPU graph use in the performance of the LR preferences tab. Blue box will be gone, Image will show.

  • How to change the date format in Lightroom, when importing images?

When you import into Lightroom, you get the following structure in Lightroom for Macintosh HD.

    Year-> Date.

I want some level 3 like this structure.   Year-> month-> Date

    How to do this?

    Hi lennartr,

When you import images, you can change the Date Format in "Copy as DNG, copy or move", but not in the Add box.

On the right panel, you expand the Destination folder and change the Date Format.

  • Built-in Lightroom gallery of images wrong format on Tablet

This has been posted on the Muse forum on November 27, but no responses, but if she is here on Lightroom. Any help would be great, thank you Adobe Support...:

I built a site of photo on muse with several galleries lightroom - WIP:

    http://www.Hunter.Paris

Everything works fine on the desktop, but the version of the Tablet displays the images to the right size (too big). The iPad also said that problems occur on the page, and must recharge it. My HTML embed code from Lightroom is set to 100% width:

    < div class = "lr_embed" style ='position: relative; padding-bottom: 100%; height: 0; overflow: hidden;' > < iframe id = 'iframe' src =' https://Lightroom.Adobe.com/embed/shares/99b3bee376084a8dac3785ae6485123e/slideshow "frameborder =" 0"style =" width: 100%; " height: 100%; position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0;' > < / iframe > < / div >

Is this a bug or do I need to change the code for the version of the Tablet?

    Thank you

    PS

I downloaded from one archive web version of the iPad tablet. Open office/Safari image is the right size. This means that the problem is with the iPad?

  • Lightroom CC - Moving images from phone to the PC and I messed up!

    Good evening

I was wondering if someone could offer some advice on how I have gone wrong here. I know now I should probably had recourse to a central workspace, but in my method of madness, I made a hash of it!

I added a folder of images, I was working on fine in Lightroom CC on my PC. They are all RAW images and I've made a few changes to some and forced to half way and I was going there for a few days I copied the folder of images on a memory stick and taken with me to work on my laptop. I made all the changes to all images and now I'm Home I wanted to transfer to my PC. Here now the problem lies. All the parameters of the image have not copied across to the PC. I look on my laptop and all files are modified but the PC ones are they not still show where I had up front. I copied through the FIRST two and. XMP files. I tried to remove them altogether on my PC and 'import catalog' then 'Add' in the Lightroom folder but it presents itself to where I had before and no new image changes I did it on my laptop.

I would like any advice or suggestions, that everyone has.

    Thank you very much

By default, Lightroom takes its develop adjustments and stores it in the catalog, and so the XMP files you have transferred is not changes in LR on the laptop.

For that LR catalog in the XMP files changes, you will want to select the photo, and then choose metadata > save metadata to file (Ctrl-S).

You may need some time for LR to write the changes to the files. Then, copy all of the XMP files that should now be updated on the PC.

On the PC, select the photos and choose metadata > read metadata from file. This should transfer the XMP data in the LR catalog. Note that until you read the metadata changes, you may notice a new icon on your tiles in LR and hovering over the icon indicates that the metadata has changed outside:

By clicking on the icon for a single photo does appear a dialog box to allow you to bring the new parameters (reading) or overwrite parameters (writing), which is the same effect as using the menu:

This is the advantage of the menu you can set read/write a grid full of images at once.

    I hope that helps!

  • Re: Lightroom 4.3 images don't show in Photoshop cs4

Use Lightroom 4.3 Vista, I can't spend converted Canon EOS 6 d RAW images in Photoshop CS4. When selecting to modify in CS4, Photoshop works but no picture. There is no error message. In the Lightroom Photoshop editor preferences, it is irrelevant that I select PSD or TIFF. Is it because CS4 is spent a RAW file incompatible... If Tristan so no error message? Someone at - it ideas?

You must make sure that Lightroom is rendering (as CS4 cab is not compatible with LR4).  When you choose Edit in photoshop, you get a warning of compatibility with a command prompt allowing you to choose 'Render using lightroom' or 'Open when even'?  If so, choose 'Render using lightroom.

If you do not get the command prompt, change the menu, preferences and the general tab and click "reset all warning dialog boxes.

  • Lightroom opens new images in the old process

Using Lightroom 3.5.  It seems to me in the past that could import my images and the 2010 process automatically apply.  However, no matter what I do, I am learning to the '! ' on my new imports.  I know how to change or repair.  But I guess I forgot what to do to force default Lightroom for the 2010 process.

The default value is PV2010. If you see different then it is because you have changed the default value or that you import images that have been previously published with the PV2003.

You can reset the default settings to Dvelop > set deafult in the develop module.
