Lightroom keeps freezing up on top of me in the develop Module
I'm working on a recent photo shoot. I downloaded my pictures as always. They're there, but when I go to work on them in the Module development overall the program freezes up, circle blue to sin, but nothing happens. I don't have the choice, but just stop it.
Everyone knows about similar problems? It's just me. I've recently upgraded to Windows 10, which would have something to do with it?
Hi mstark

I just upgraded to windows 10 and I use Lightroom CC. almost every time I get back module develop the program stops and not stop responding to the questionnaire, and then later down. I have spent a lot of time now and it s a bit frustrating. Anyone else having the same problems? and maybe someone knows what could be wrong, or maybe it's a bug on windows 10. I used windows 7 before and it has never happened in about 5 years.

6.4 Lightroom is unresponsive and freezes when in the develop module.
6.4 Lightroom is unresponsive and freezes when in the develop module, then I get the message (no response). I have tried both checking and unchecking the checkbox use Graphics Processor. It does not seem to make a difference. Lr6.4 getting slower more I use the develop module, then it stops responding all together.
It could be a possibility that the old catalog might be corrupted.
Please see the following article of the hardware requirements for Lightroom: system requirements for Photoshop Lightroom for Mac OS and Windows

Lightroom CC freezes on loading the second image in the develop module
I use Lightroom CC on Windows 10 (recently updated to Win7). When I start LR, I can only load an image in the develop module. When the attempt to load the second image, LR is just froze. I left on for an hour now.
Here are the steps I've taken so far:
- Restarted LR.
- Restarted Windows
- Uninstalled and reinstalled LR.
- Run LR as administrator.
None of these steps has made a difference.
Manually disable the graphics processor in Lr
- Go to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 6/CC Preferences.agprefs (Appdata is hidden folder)
- Right-click on the Preferences.agprefs from Lightroom 6 > open with Notepad
- Change the following line: useAutoBahn = true to the useAutoBahn next = false
- Save and close the file Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
- Restart Lightroom CC/6.

I have a new laptop Lenovo with a CPU i7-6600U, 16 GB of RAM and an Intel 520 HD GPU, pilot 20.19.15.4380 dated 02/02/16. I use Lightroom CC 2015.5.1.
The GPU passes Lenovo hardware diagnostics.
In Lightroom CC, in the develop Module, move the adjustment sliders or simply move the cursor any where often causes the image I work mainly to turn bright white or white for the most brilliant with holes. Cursor movement or disable the adjustment panel restores photo (see examples). Only happens when LR says to use the GPU via Edition > Preferences > performance - does not occur when this box is not checked.
Here is an example of a RAW photo opened to develop:
and then when I'm working on it with GPU on:
If I move the slider, picture goes back to normal, although the problem may occur again with different parties going blank.
I read LR problems with other cards, so if it is a software related issue, I can live with it--not off the GPU. I just want to rule out the possibility that I have a faulty GPU.
Thanks for your help
The GPU causing the problems you see and others as you read it, if you say that you have tested and everything is fine, then just leave it unchecked option and you will be fine. There may be an update to the map in the future that can cure the problem, but in the meantime...
Good luck, and I like the picture in the screenshot also!

Is the develop module of Lightroom 6 still available to me if I return from CC to the product I own?
Yes but it can be a little tricky.
LR 6 so the CC 2015 version are exactly the same. The difference is how you connect.
Sign In with an Adobe ID a is or has been associated with the subscription and it becomes the CC 2015 version.
Sign In with an Adobe ID that has never been associated with the subscription type and it becomes version 6. So since you have already used an e-mail address to activate the stand alone version 6 you must use a different email address, another ID Adobe buying the CC version. So if you ever want to revert to the version 6 You Sign Out with the Adobe ID email address, which IS associated with the subscription and back panel with the e-mail her IS NOT associated with the subscription.

Hello. I have the DVD of Lightroom 5.7.1 version. He just started is behaving badly and I've deleted and reinstalled the product. When I'm in the 'development' module, I get random stains of color in my images. This only occurs in the develop module and no where else. It also does not reach any other software or area on my pc. I also changed the cable and the same triesd another monitor. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
Are patches of red and blue color?
If so, you probably have warnings of cutting of light/shadow enabled. Press J to hide them.
You can also activate their power by clicking on the arrows up left and right of the histogram.
Salient facts cut medium red, medium blue clipped shadows.

Oops... .the everything in the title... My apologies!
Tips for Lightroom 6 help indicates again that if "using a graphics card AMD/ATI under Windows 64-bit with the AMD Catalyst driver 15.7 and Lightroom CC/Lightroom 6 hangs or crashes during launch or when you edit an image in the develop module.» This problem may occur when you use AMD Radeon HD 5xxx card graphics series 8xxx running versions of pilot 14.501.1003, 14.502.1014 and 15.200.1062.1004. For the Solution of the page install the AMD Catalyst 15.8 Beta Driver for Windows (posted August 31, 2015). However, there are now a 16.1 driver... would this work with Lightroom 6buttons Photpshop CC without problem or should I stay with 15.8 beta for Windows driver (Windows 8.1.
Thank you very much
Paul Winstone
Hi Paul,.
This article was created when users have faced problem with old drivers for AMD graphics card.
Yes, you can upgrade to the last 16.1 pilots and who should work well however, you should have 1 GB VRAM or more to take advantage of the GPU processors.
Kind regards

Lightroom 6 crashes frequently in the develop Module.
Lightroom 6 crashes (unexpected) frequently while in the develop Module. It is not crashing in the library Module. I use it on a Late 2008 MackBook Pro, 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 8 GB of memory. I noticed it seems to crash that I scroll different images in the develop Module. The accident comes as the preview image is rasterized and seems to be trying to solve. This never happened with Lightroom 5. Can someone tell me what is the problem? The specs on my computer, such as the 32-bit processor, are inadequate? Can anyone offer a solution?
Hello
Seems that Lightroom is not up-to-date.
Please update to Lightroom by clicking Help-> updates or check it out here: Lightroom CC 2015.2.1 / 6.2.1 now available
If even after update accident happens, then try the following steps
Open Lightroom
Click on edit-> preferences-> Performance
Uncheck the box use graphics processor.
Click Ok
Lightroom to close and reopen that.

What is the original Lightroom hang up, mainly in the develop module? I've recently updated for Windows 10. I tried to reinstall LR, but it made no difference. I get no error message, just the blue spinning wheel.
Hi Michigoose,
Please go the Edit option in the library Module, then go in the preferences.
Go to the performance tab and uncheck the option "use graphics processor.
Restart lightroom and working in the develop Module.
Please let us know if it helps.

I have the 5.7 Lightroom version and download the new version of CC. When I open the CC version, in library mode, choose a picture and then go to the develop module, I get a screen empty blue with no photo. Why?
Please try the steps mentioned in the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom help | Graphics processor (GPU) acceleration, troubleshooting & FAQ Lightroom
You can check 6 Lightroom displays a blank blue screen with an X through it in the module development for all the photos of my reference.
