News full of LR lenses

Hello, is there a fix I can see the full name of the lens?

Like the Nikon AF-S 24-70 mm f/2.8 ED instead of 24-70 mm so I can distinguish Tamron?

What I see:

What I wish to see:Screenshot 2016-08-19 18.29.43.png

To generate comments from Bob and Jao, I completely boneless LR with regard to the information of the lens, but here's my interpretation:

The inconsistencies that you are observing are due to LR, not your camera or lenses.

For the purpose of determining lens profile to apply to develop, LR uses the information stored in the exclusive MakerNotes fields that have been written by the camera.   Nikon stores a digital "identification number of Lens' field, which is supposed to uniquely identify the lens.  For example, the f/2.8 24-70mm Tamron SP Di VC USD A007N has Nikon Lens ID number 254. LR (and ACR) look for this lens identification number in its database to identify patterns of lenses that are available.

But for the purpose of showing the lens in the metadata Panel of the library, the library browser metadata filter bar and search by smart collections, LR will use the value of the string stored in the EXIF:LensModel field or XMP:Lens if these fields are present, no matter what is stored in the MakerNotes.  Some cameras will also write the field of EXIF:LensModel (but does not seem to Nikon)

Which is why the Tamron2470_D810 file. Shows NAVE "TAMRON SP 24-70mm F2.8 Di VC USD A007N" in the metadata Panel, but the file Tamron2470_OLD.dng shows "24, 0-70, 0 mm f/2.8".»   The .dng has fields EXIF:LensInfo, EXIF:LensModel, EXIF:DNGLensInfo, XMP:LensInfo and XMP:Lens, probably added by conversion to DNG.  If you use Exiftool to remove these fields, then LR displays "TAMRON SP 24-70mm F2.8 Di VC USD A007N" in the metadata Panel, just as it does for the .nef.

However, if the file is missing the EXIF and XMP fields lens, LR seems to be inconsistent in what it shows in the metadata the library panel and browser. For example, Tamron2470_D810. NAVE shows "TAMRON SP 24-70mm A007N F2.8Di VC USD", while Sigma35_D810. NAVE shows "35.0 mm f/1.4", although in the latter case, LR correctly identifies the full name of the lens to develop. I don't know how to explain this inconsistency, other than just a software bug in LR. With the time of capture, for example, LR is notoriously inconsistent in the way it handles the files missing fields of metadata at the time of the capture.

I think it would be better if LR systematically used in the library of the same identification of lens that he used to develop.  You can request a feature request for it, but based on the total absence of Adobe to attention to the metadata for the library of the past six years, I doubt they would never change the behavior.

--------------------------------------------------------

For reference, here's the discharges for the files in your Dropbox folder. For each file, there is the value of the field in the Panel metadata lens, lens profile section to develop values and the release of 'exiftool - a -' G.  Note that output by Exiftool Composite fields are not actually stored in the files - Exiftool uses its own database to calculate the full lens name shown in Composite material.

    Hello

Windows backs up only the files that are changed after a recent backup of windows process. This kind of backup is called incremental backup where only the changed files are saved.

The full backup is a combination of incremental backup as well as the changes made to the computer after the incremental backup.

  • Can I install a new full version of Windows 7 teacher that is marked ' English we only DVDS ' on my PC in Australia?

I bought a copy of wind 7 teacher online.  It arrived today - sealed box etc. version with DVD.  I have not opened yet because I'm afraid that he cannot work in Australia.

The package was sent from China and license on the box label shows "Made in Puerto Rico, for distribution in the United States only" and "Win Pro 7 English we only DVD.

This will make a clean install for me?

    Thank you

Yes, it iwill do a clean install. There is no geographic restrictions on the US from Windows 7 English distributions. It will install and enable very well in Australia.

  • Lenses for the new EOS 70 d

Hello, how do I know what objectives 'fit' the body of the new EOS 70 d?  I also have the EOS Rebel T2i and these lenses do not match the Organization 70 d.  Thank you... frustrated.

The 70 d is a cropped sensor, then the EF or EF-S lenses will be good.  Your rebels lenses are made.  Canon lenses only modern that does not either of these cameras are the new mirrorless EF - M lenses.

  • About T3I EF lenses

I just want to know if my calculations are correct on this point. This is the focal point of equavalent of some privileged lenses EF on the T3i. I multiply by 1.6 x culture right?

    24mm EF would be 38mm
30mm EF would be 48 mm
    85mm EF would be 136mm

Is that correct or should I go?

    Kolourl3lind wrote:

I was wrong. BY EOS, I meant ARE full frame camera and not Cameras EOS Rebel EF-S.

Also, pass my T3I and 6 d very often when I photograph an event. Photographed it hard when I don't have the same point of view using the same lens wiith each camera.  What I'm trying to do is buy a first decent Wideangle to fit on the T3i. This will allow me use the T3i just for wide angle of shooting at a focal distance and get photos decent quaility compared to 6 J using a zoom lens.

It's the best configuration, I can think that it's just easier for us my 6 d lenses and switch instead to carry two cameras.

Well, now it is more clear what you are doing, and you go back between the two formats.

However, he has very little of primes that are ultra wide on a full frame and still very broad camera on a culture's APS - C sensor. 24mm is a good wide angle on a full frame camera, but only behaves like a slightly large 'normal' when used on a crop sensor camera. I have and use a Canon EF 20 mm... fairly wide on full frame. It's nice, but only a moderately wide lens (32mm FF equivalent) on a sharecropper.

There are Canon 14 mm (origin and Mark II). And there is a manual focus only Zeiss 15 mm ZE. There are also a few glasses of 17mm. These are quite expensive, however. And, in a culture a 17mm camera sensor is only moderately wide.

In the past the Tamron and Sigma made 14mm full frame compatible lenses. Those who were of an image quality questionable and abandoned several years ago... so will be available used, if you can find them.

There is also a 14mm Samyang/Rokinon lens which is full frame compatible and affordable, but the update manual and operation manual only, so more time to work with. It sells for a little over $ 300 and also lie in Bower, dotted, ProOptic, Vivitar and other brand names (Vivitar called 13mm, even if it's the same lens.) This lens has strong "mustache" distortion, but there is software that can correct.

Another possible consideration, all 14, 15mm and many the 17 mm... and some of the largest of the full frame capable ultra wide angle zoom, too... tend to have front lens elements very strongly convex which allow not the standard to mount vissants filters.

There are simply not many really wide Prime lenses for crop sensor cameras. And most of the primes and zooms that are wide on FF, are only slightly or moderately wide on culture.

If you want to use the lens wide angle on the T3i onlycrop sensor, there are a few good zooms you should really consider.

Canon recently introduced an EF-S 10-18mm IS STM lens which is a real bargain priced at $300 and even less for sale currently. I have not yet used, but have heard a lot of good reports. No, is not as sharp edge on board as others, but it is quite surprisingly good for the price (which is at least $100 less than any other ultra wide-angle zoom... $200 or more at most).

Canon EF-S 10-22mm USM has been around for a few years, sells for about $650, and in my opinion is one of the best ultrawides to cultures of any manufacturer photo sensor. It is very well fixed, strong side by side with well controlled chromatic aberration, reasonably good quality of construction, able to use the standard 77mm filter and has exceptionally good flare control.

Sigma offers two versions of 10-20mm and the widest of all in a 8-16 mm. A 10-24 mm Tamron. Tokina has offered the fastest in a 11-16/2.8, but also a 12-24/4, (which are now discontinued, but can still be found). Tokina is currently introducing new models of 11 - 20/2.8 and 12-28/4.

However, all of the above zooms are 'just culture' (at least on a technical level, see below).

If you want to use the lens on your T3i and 6 d...

Canon of nine 11-24 2.8 L / would work fine... but is very expensive (almost $3000).

Sigma offers a 12-24mm, which is full frame and crop sensor compatible. It is rather expensive and has one important of distortion.

There are various 16-28mm, 16-35mm, 17-35mm, 17-40mm which are full-frame compatible... tho, all this is just moderately wide on the T3i culture.

An interesting possiblitity... I can tell you for certain that a Tokina 12-24/4 is a good lens on cameras of the harvest, and that it is partially usable on full frame. I tested it as wide as 17 or 18 mm on my 5DII, until it begins to show the vignetting. I understand the Tokina 11-16/2.8 is usable on FF, too... but only she is put in 16mm. (I haven't used so can't say on the two new models of Tokina.)

    FOR INFO:

Colloquial for Canon EOS Digital cameras is "APS - C / 1.6 X crop" and "full frame / 1.0 X.

Or just 'crop sensor', 'culture' or 'cropper' vs 'full frame' or 'FF '.

Canon lenses are ' EF/full frame compatible' or 'EF-S/APS-C only of cultures '.  Only Canon's EF-S objectives using a variation on the EF mount, designed to not allow lenses to physically join the cameras 'incompatible '.

There is no "ES" or even "EF" cameras and few people to refers to «Caméras EF - S» That's because the cameras APS - C or crop can use both EF and EF-S objectives... While the cameras full frame can only objective EF of use. Objective EF - S will rise not yet physically on the camera models full frame as your 6 d (nor on the third cannon used to provide format: APS - H or 1.3 X.hich also EF lenses require).

Home objective third-party manufacturers there are not EF-S-objectives. Sigma, Tokina and Tamron all only use EF mount, regardless. Although they may be possible to mount on a camera full frame, many glasses they offer always are "cultures only"... They do not produce an image circle large enough to cover the entire surface of a full frame sensor, it will strongly vignette. Yet some work partially (as indicated above).

Canon EF, "Di" of Tamron, Tokina "FX" and "DG" lenses Sigma are all sensor full frame and compatible cultures.

Canon EF-S, 'Di II' Tamron and Tokina "DX" Sigma "DC" lenses are all cultures only.

    I hope this helps!

  • TimeCapsule must create a new backup... once again

Since the update to Yosemite, I was totally unable to save anything to my Time Capsule airport. Whenever I restart the process, it takes several days to make a backup and then he said: there is a problem with the backup and I have to start over. So, I worked without a backup for months.

    What should do?

Unfortunately, Time Machine has detected that your old backups are corrupt, and disk utility can't repair, so Time Machine must erase your old backups and start over with a new backup and then move forward again.

If you choose to Back Up later, then backups to happen until you click Start a new backup.

When you click on the "start new backup" button, your old corrupted backups will be deleted and Time Machine will start a new full backup of your Mac.

  • A simple click or two clicks email opens in a new tab. How is it, 2 different actions do exactly the same thing? RESOLVED: bad batteries in the mouse

In recent months, this has got worse and worse. A click on an email and it automatically opens it in a new tab. This is extremely annoying because I want to continue to see the content of the email in the right panel. Not a new full screen. I can't imagine in any circumstance that would be considered more annoying. I don't see the point. One in 5 clicks works very well. 4 of the 5 clicks opens a new tab. If this isn't a bug, it will open again from 5 to 5 tab but it's not. Please put it to how it was. For now, click 1 or 2 clicks do exactly the same thing!

This looks more like a mouse or a problem with the OS...

What platform and what version of TB?

  • I'm using Time Machine (1 TB), works very well, but because full starting to delete previous backups. Can I add another (LaCie 1 TB) HARD disk for backups? If so, how to proceed. Thank you!

I'm using Time Machine (1 TB), works very well, but because full starting to delete previous backups. Can I add another (LaCie 1 TB) HARD disk for backups? If so, how to proceed. Thank you!

You can add another drive to accept backups Time Machine... assuming it is correctly formatted for Mac to Mac OS extended (journaled), but things are not exactly "continue."

You have not indicated if you intend to add the player to the USB port on the Time Capsule, or connect directly to your computer using USB or FireWire connections. Or the other method works, with the option to connect directly to the computer being the faster connection.

Once the disc is added, you would go in Time Machine preferences (click the "clock" at the top of the screen on your Mac) to add the disk for Time Machine backups and delete the old Time Capsule disk, since backups will go is no longer this destination.

Since you have a new drive, Time Machine will do a new full backup of your Mac and then go forward with incremental backups.

  • New modem cannot connect to Time Capsule

Xfinity gave me a new gateway wireless modem/router a few weeks ago.  I hung it just as the former with a cable to the Capsule of time (not wireless).  Since then, my MacBook Pro (OS X Yosemite 10.10.5) can not find the TC and said "backup drive is not available."  Meanwhile, the TC has a flashing orange light.  I rebooted everything more than once.  The time on my Mac says Machine I have not backed up since 15 February, but when I go into "Time Machine", it looks like there were multiple regular backups since then (I'm skeptical).  User support Comcast tinkered around for an hour and he couldn't understand.  Another suit tech support tried for another hour and could not make any progress.  How can I make it work again?

You MUST reset the TC factory and start over... This happens whenever you make a network change and there is no change in larger network than what you were doing... to replace the router.

Here are the instructions to get going again. It is a comprehensive so that your needs can be met with just a couple of them.

Start from a factory reset. No files are lost on the drive hard in doing so.

    Universal factory reset

Turning off the TC... That is, remove the power supply cord or the power at the wall outlet, wait 10 seconds... Hold the reset button... be nice... Turn on always even now in reset... and keep holding in for another 10 seconds. You may need assistance because it is difficult to hold in reset and power on. It will show the success quickly flashing led front. Release reset... and wait a few minutes for the TC to reset and return with the factory settings. If the front LED flashes quickly you missed and simply try again. The reset is quite fragile in these... Press the key while it is just click away and not more... I've seen people bend lever or even break. I use a toothpick as a tool.

NB. None of your files on the hard drive of the TC are removed... This simply clears the settings of the router of the TC.

    The installer the TC.

And then redo the configuration of the computer with the Mavericks - Yosemite - ElCapo. (MYELCAP)

    1. the use of very short names... NO APPLE RECOMMENDED names. Without the space and pure alphanumeric characters.

for example TCgen5 for the base station and the name of the TCwifi wireless.

If the problem is using wireless TC24ghz and TC5ghz with fixed channels as it also seems to help stop the nonsense. But it can be tried in the second round. IE, plan on a first and second series of changes to fix this... If all goes well... I note other steps can you tour2.

    2. use all passwords also consistent with 1. but maybe a little longer. IE 8 and 20 characters of mixed cases and numbers... no alphanumeric non-caracteres.

    3. If the TC is router, you can ignore this point. It is only a problem when the TC is bridged.

If ensure that the TC is always the same IP address... you will need to do this on the main router using a dhcp reservation... or a bit more complex setup by using the static IP address in the TC. But it's important for deriving from intellectual property in all directions when MYELCAP do not remember his name for 5 min after a reboot done for poor network management.

    4. check that your share on the computer name does not change... Make sure that it is also in line with the above... short without space and pure alphanumeric... but this change will mess up your TM backup... so be prepared to make a new, full backup. Sorry... keep this one for the second round, if you want to avoid a new backup.

5 attach the TC disc into the computer manually.

In Finder, go, connect to the server in the main menu,

Type in SMB://192.168.0.254 (or whatever ip of TC is that you made static. It's a default router 10.0.1.1 and I encourage people to stick with it unless you know what you're doing).

You can use the name... SMB://TCgen5.local where you replace TCgen5 with your name of TC... local is the default domain of the TC and does not change.

However the names are not so easy as... the IP address nor reliable. They are not at least not in Yosemite. The field can also be a problem if you are not clogged or wireless directly to the Treasury Board.

    6. ensure that IPv6 is set to link-local only in the computer. For example wireless open network, wireless and Advanced preferences / TCP/IP... and the difficulty of IPv6. link-local only. Do the same for the ethernet if you use it.

It is a lot more jiggery pokery, you can try, but the above is a good start... If you still find not reliable... don't be surprised.

You may need to do more work on the computer itself. for example, to reset the NVRAM/PRAM/SMC... helped some people. A clean installation of the operating system is also useful if you update installed.

    https://discussions.Apple.com/message/29202159?ac_cid=ha123456#29202159

Let us know how you go.

The xfinity is a modem router then the TC will be in bridge.

If you continue to have problems, I need a few screenshots of the configuration... that should correspond to what I posted.

  • Pavilion 500-054: reloading Windows 8 new hard drive

Hello. I had a drive hard failure and have installed a brand new. I don't have the recovery disk. My question is how can I get Windows 8 original OS back on my new HDD without having to buy a whole new full version of Windows 8? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I'd be discouraged for sure.  If you want to reinstall Windows 8 and that you can get at least that works, maybe you can run recovery of the value inside the OS after installation.  SEE HERE for installation of the OS, but you will need all the drivers for the HP support page to make it work.  I think that if I was going to all this trouble, I then install Windows 10 for free.

    Hello

Vista Home Premium doesn't have a backup of the computer capabitities. To Vista Business, Ultimate or enterprise.

Need you 3rd Party Software to do what you want to do.

Good pay for program is the following:

    http://www.Acronis.com/homecomputing/products/TrueImage/

Other answers should be able to recommend free programs to do the same thing. It's just that I have not used the others lately to be able to recommend.

    See you soon.

  • I have to keep the older backup sets when I generate a new backup set?

I have vista Home premium.  I regularly backup my computer.  Whenever I save I now have a new set of disks.  Can I get rid of the old game when the new set is generated. ?

    N °

Because after the initial backup files, subsequent backups are incremental, which means that the system only save new files and files that have changed since the last backup.

    You must keep the heap.
However, later you will be asked to make a new, full backup. Then, you can delete older backups, but only after you have a new, full backup.

  • I wonder if possible to re - register the cd of my laptop key in my new computer?

    Original title: Windows 7

    Hello.

I have Windows 7, that came with my laptop when I bought it.

Recently, I received a new computer without a win on it. I wonder if possible to re - register the cd of my laptop key in my new computer?

As mentioned, the OEM license on the old laptop can be transferred to the new. You will need to purchase a new full version Windows 7 or Windows 10 license.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

I think that could happen is that the oval pin mechanism comes into contact with food has become defective over time. Its supposed to sink to bottom when feeding is complete (on inserting). Over time as the ink level runs the mechanism will expand gradually until you reach full extension on what an ink level alert is triggered. What might happen in your case, is that the mechanism is not entirely depressing even when the new full provision is inserted. This would explain why to apply the tape inside the oval window on the supply allows the new offer be detected. Unfortunately, the fix for this would be to have the machine.
