Lightroom New lost mobile sync to restore storage catalog?

Hi all

I'll try to explain this as best I can. I didn't save my catalog on my computer before formatting my computer. When I created a new catalog LR obviously, I lost my mobile catalog and my 400 images + disappeared. I don't understand why this has happened, the new catalog LR on my computer, overwriting the old. The issue I see is that I use 22 56 GB of storage, which I suppose is the previous catalog. How can I return this space? So I do not use a half my storage capacity for «lost photos»

Thank you

N. Troy

Hi tnormandin

This is because the previews of previews/chip all your images are still there.

  • Lightroom for mobile sync shows do not all files

    Hi all:

I use mobile sync between my iPad and iMac. When I open Lightroom on laptop brand new and connect to my Adobe account, I do not see a synchronized catalog. There is just an empty catalog. My iMac and my iPad see content synchronized and seem to sync whenever I edit collections. However, the computer laptop do not, despite the fact that, on this laptop:

    • I am connected to my account Adobe CC (in the menu at the top of the left page of the LR window and creative cloud)
    • Lightroom Mobile Sync is on.
    • I'm connected with my Adobe ID in the Lightroom preferences with my correct ID from Adobe.

    Attached screenshots.

I had the same problem on another laptop I have owned. (Today), I recently bought a new laptop and installed LR on it, meet a former and authorizing a new. The exact number of devices present in my Adobe account online as does all my happy mobile. If anyone has any ideas, I would be grateful. Thank you.

    Fix.

Just because laptops are mobile, which in itself does not classify them as Mobile Devices. You can see the contents of specific collections of synchronized to a catalog on mobile devices like Android devices, iPhone, and iPad.

This catalog can reside on a laptop or desktop computer. Technically there is no catalog "Mobile".

  • Web/Mobile with Lightroom photos not completely sync.

Running Lightroom CC on a Mac with OS 10.11.  I have some pictures that are not sync for Lightroom Web or Mobile.  They have been added to a collection. other photos in the collection taken by the same camera on the same day and processed the same can be synchronized.  Little determination when not looking at the collection on the web, it has a white frame with a cloud and an exclamation point when you click on the States "Partially synchronized TJ iMac."  Tried to turn on syncing off tension then, same result.  Tried to do a new collection of these same photos, same result.  Anyone with a similar problem?  Thank you!

    Hi Raphael

Please make sure that the image you are trying to synchronize is not absent in the Lightroom Catalog.

  • Why Lightroom 5.6 stopped mobile sync with Lightroom?

All of a sudden Lightroom 5.6 stopped mobile sync with Lightroom. I created 3 new collections that I need to sync... and Lightroom for desktop computer is just sitting there saying sync 28 pictures (of which there are 39 to synchronize) and their synchronization does not despite being connected and saying sync is turned on.  What is going on?

Could you try to delete the sync.lrdata file, and then restart LrD. It would restart/refresh sync (metadata only).

Remove the Sync.lrdata can solve everything that is the question.  Or, at least, could trigger to reproduce. So to remove the Sync.lrdata start Lr and wait until he either synchronize or gets stuck again and creates a new diagnostic log that can at this stage we hope to provide some clues.

You can find the file sync.lrdata here:

    On Mac, it's to /Users/Library/Caches/Adobe/Lightroom/Sync Data / Sync.lrdata

On the victory, it would be in C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom\Caches\Sync Data\Sync.lrdata

You can trigger the journal diagnostig through Desktop LR-Mobile with Lightroom > preferences, and when you hold down the ALT key, you will notice a diagnostic log button to generate

Please send me a journal diagnostig Desktop LR - better as a private message with a downloadable dropbox link.

BTW. Are there listed in Lr Desktop Sync errors?

    Thank you

My computer with two hard drives and 2 starting systems has the car crash in the solid state. When I got the new drive and tried to restore from time capsule, I lost some data. How can I see what backups are on the time capsule? My laptop is also saved to the time capsule. Everything is in 'Data' when I look through the Airport utility. I think that the information that I've lost are still there since I was a Capsule 3 to.

Time Machine backup to a sparsebundle.

The sparsebundle will use the share name of computer. So, it should be obvious who is your Macbook and that is your Macpro.

Open the sparsebundle in Finder and keep open the subfolders until you get to the backup of each separate hard drive...

You has of course set the exclusion in Time Machine?

By default, Time Machine will exclude your second drive unless you have included it. Did you?

Once you get to this level during the backup, you can do a full restore manually whenever you want.

  • Mobile Sync slow or blocked on Lightroom CC 2015.5.1

After that last LR CC Office Update mobile sync is incredibly slow.  I had at least 1 photo (currently 6) 'stuck' in harmony for weeks, but it seems to never end.  Impossible to find exactly which photo it is or I would simply he remove it from the library. Called support Adobe and thought that they fixed (after almost an hour on the phone) by removing finally the sync.lrdata file, but never finished re-synchronization. For what it's worth, my iPhone and iPad LR mobile customers seem to complete sync very well... desktop is the only one that is stuck.

I found a few guilty by doing a Visual search through 2500 + photos in sync, looking for the symbol «...» ». Simply, I removed these images and imported back to LR. But have not been able to find the last few images stuck using this method.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I found some synchronization problems as what I was able to solve of the following way:

    1. use your web browser to go to lightroom.adobe.com - make sure that you are connected to your Adobe ID

    2. look in your photos and see if any have a completely black thumbnail.

    3. delete these photos in the web interface.

4 go back to LR on the desktop and synchronization. Synchronization must complete.

    5. open LR Mobile on your mobile device again and let it sync if necessary.

Repeat as needed until all the photos are properly synchronized.

  • ??? Mobile Lightroom do mobile sync

It works well, but since a few days it dosent, I still see "waiting for connection".

    Hi helmutd,

You can try to remove all synchronized data from the cloud of Lightroom and then try syncing again.

Open Lightroom > go to preferences > Lightroom Mobile > delete all data.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Lightroom for mobile sync with old catalogue?

    Hello

I been using Lightroom since version 2, but are just now digging in my main computer editing, that's why I hope to support with the following:

I use Lightroom CC on my iMac. That's where I also my main drive store my catalog (I only use a single catalog for all of my photos).

Now, I have learned more about mobile Lightroom and find it very useful, or so I thought. Of course, it's nice to share intelligent previews with my iPhone and iPad, but I want edit files with my MacBook while I'm away from my main computer.

While I read on Dropbox as possibility of synchronization, I find this is much easier, as the copy of my catalog files. As a result, I simply copied the catalog on an external hard drive, which is now connected to my MacBook. Since this is the 'same' catalog, Lightroom mobile syncs everything beautiful. The changes that I did also appear on my iMac.

    Now my question:

I can just let this copied and finally old catalog on my external hard drive and synchronize only via mobile Lightroom? I don't care much more editing Smart surveys that have been synchronized via mobile Lightroom. My thoughts: since I work on the synchronized files, no matter how 'old' catalog is that I use. Previews will be always up to date.

Is this correct or am I missing something?

Looking forward to your experience and your thoughts on it.

    Greetings

    fumoyofu

I quickly read your messages, and while it seems useful, I need offline. Have not written it yet, but I travel a lot and want to change the 12 years and + flight hours I find myself regularly.

Appreciate if this thought and your entry.

    Edit:

I have install a 2.5 hard drive "(1 to) to contain my catalog and all the photos are now imported with smart insights." This way I can edit on the go, without wearing my tough guys around.

Not a great solution, but one that will work for now.

  • Lightroom mobile sync

How to stop synchronization of photos with Lightroom for mobile, specially for those that originated on the iPad?

I downloaded pictures from my camera to my iPad and then load them into Lightroom Mobile.  On my mac from Lightroom, I moved images from the imported photos iPad directory to another location.  I would like to keep the photos in Lightroom on my mac but don't want the originals, or the synchronized Lightroom photos on my iPad.  Can I delete photos from my photo library, but they remain sync with mobile Lightroom.  If I use the option 'Remove' in Lightroom mobile, it removes the image of these two mobile libraries and office.

During the synchronization of a collection from the desktop to the mobile version, that you can uncheck just collections sync symbol but I don't see an equivalent means for photos on the iPad.  The photos show a symbol saying be in sync with the mobile version, but there is no way I am saying to deselect the sync symbol.

Answered my own question.  If you want to delete photos from your iPad and Mobile with Lightroom that originated on your iPad, but keep them in Lightroom Desktop follow these steps:

[in assuming that you already imported the iPad photos to Lightroom Mobile and have them sync would return to your Lightroom Office]

    (1) to add photos to a collection in Lightroom Desktop and synchronization with the Mobile (they're already sync'd but necessary for the next steps)

    (2) on your iPad, delete photos from the photos app

    (3) in Lightroom Desktop uncheck the sync

The photos are now removed from your Ipad and unsync'd with mobile Lightroom but will remain in Office with Lightroom.

  • Question Lightroom Mobile Sync

    Hi all

I think that ultimately, I need help from technical support Adobe, but that throw out there for others who have similar questions.  I've had two different subscriptions with Adobe (don't ask why): (1) monthly subscription to the photographer who included Photoshop Lightroom and Photoshop CC, and (2) a single subscription to InDesign.  I obviously should have bought the full suite of CC knowing what I know now.  I noticed the Black Friday sale before Adobe offered and contacted support by chat for 1) cancel subscriptions for both above and 2) replace them by a subscription to subsequently complete CC I thought allowed access to all Adobe applications.

When I run Lightroom in my identity plate area, I try to use Lightroom Mobile sync (worked until I canceled my photographer package) and am currently get a message that my laptop Lightroom has expired and cannot perform the synchronization between the Office of Lightroom and Lightroom on iOS.  When I connect to my account on the Adobe Web site to watch to see what subscriptions I active, I show two lists: (1) my newly acquired Creative Suite of cloud and the package of 2) my expired photographer listed have expired.

Yet once again, I expect that the full suite of Cloud Creative should have allowed me to synchronize Mobile with Lightroom.  Instructions for Lightroom syncing seems to indicate that this is the case (screenshot below).  All advice appreciated words.

    Thank you!

  • Free Mobile App of Lightroom and LR Desktop Sync: - trial expired - should I CC?

    Hi all

5 Lightroom installed on Windows 10 (not CC)

Lightroom Mobile for iPad and Android

I'm not currently subscribe to CC.

I'm confused and need answer to a simple question: I need a CC license for synchronization?

With the recent announcement of Lightroom Mobile is free on Android and iPad, I adapted my workflow to use LR Mobile to perform a selection of image to edit later, for example, I am going through images, choose the best and then edit them on the desktop using Lightroom 5 (Windows). It is easy to go through a large amount of images when it suits me and I set up collections, successfully synchronized them with the selections of mobile and do my LR - it worked perfectly.

Now, I received the message on the iPad / Android that my trial has expired and I need a CC license. Is this correct?

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    Greetings!

Yes for Lightroom Mobile sync, you need a subscription to the CC.

Otherwise, you get a 30 day trial that you can use.

  • How to prevent Lightroom Mobile sync'ing videos

Since the latest iOS update for Mobile with Lightroom, it now automatically sync videos. I have it set to sync my roll automatically as I want to transfer the photos automatically. I don't want to sync videos.

I can't find any setting to remove the video sync'ing. No one knows how to do.

It is true, that the setting applies to photos and video.

Once arrived at LrDesktop, you can always delete the catalog.
