Lightroom Performance LR6 (not CC) - POOR

I just put together a new system of high quality so that my LR and PS performance would be better.  (i7 6 hearts 12 w / hyperthreading, 3.5 Ghz, 64 GB DDR4, SSD drives, the new nVidia GTX 960 GPU), and the performances are barely better than my old core .8GHz pre DDR system memory 2.   Note: Windows 7 (x 64), installation of operating system be nonpaged.

I have a large catalog (245K images (5.6 GB), spec'd to 50 GB image cache). I program, swap files, catalog, and hides everything on SSD.  In Photoshop, I can specify the amount of memory to use, but in LR it does not use a lot of memory (about 3 GB only and 3 CEF of assistance programs each to about 150 MB).  It is very difficult to get the use of the system by more than 20% with LR, and it's slow.  It has always been slow, but it should be much faster on the new system that it is.  The catalogue is optimized on a regular basis and does not make any significant difference in performance.  Given the low CPU and low memory usage, it seems that there is an application problem that prevents the system to work more hard/more fast.  There are enough memory to hold all of the catalog and the cache.

SLOW

(a) rendering of images (for the first time or the cache)

(b) catalog looking for images

(c) Web site (all the operations very slow)

(d) changes in file library (name and displacement)

(e) update the metadata in the pictures (this is very embarrassing because updates often end up in the wrong field or the photo!)

QUESTIONS RELATING TO THE:

(1) is anyway to force LR to map more data in memory? (assuming that has more mapped in memory will improve performance)

(2) what do EFC assistance programs?

(3) are there SQLite parameters that can be modified to use more memory? (and no doubt to improve performance)

(4) are there other settings that can improve the performance of LR?

Disable the GPU feature in LR. Activate the swap file in Windows. Windows don't do not like having a swap file regardless of the amount of RAM is installed. You can limit the PF to 1 GB and place on another disk in your system, but do not turn off the swap file.

I suggest that you get a larger SSD for the reader to boot/OS/System. Every program likes to put things on Boot/OS/system drive usually into the folderyourusername Users\ directory.

Also IIRC applications Adobe don't really like for processors with more than 4 physical cores. I could be wrong on this matter, but I think I read somewhere that.
