Just installed Lightroom cc for the 1st time. Import plugins for Aperture/iPhoto and all ON1 plugins are grayed out.

Do you want to say that the file menu command > plugin options > Import Aperture library is grayed out?

(Note that the names of the plugins from the menu, for example "Aperture/iPhoto importing plug-ins", will be always grayed out).

If your catalog is brand new and empty, try to quit and restart LR. There is a minor bug where many commands of menu plugin will be greyed out on a new catalog, but restarting LR fix the problem.

With plugins ON1, I think that you will need at least a photo to select when you call.

You will not be able to reinstall the Aperture/iPhoto Plugin importer, because that comes with LR.

  • Compilation of a Lightroom Plugin and how to add to the official Adobe Plugins Site?

I hope I am in the right place.

I worked on a plugin for Lightroom, developed on LR 5.6, using the SDK 5

I'm at the point I would compile the plugin for the distribution and asks the voice of experience:

    (a) what version of the compiler to use LUA. 5.1.4 I saw mentioned in various places, but do not know if it is "new".

    (b) switches/configurations, I need for maximum compatibility between both OSX and Win. Provide an update file (for all) seems best for me, if possible.

    (c) any ways to maximize compatibility with older versions of LR. Obviously preferable to focus on current versions, but if it's simple enough to include older versions so why not not.

    (d) any other experiences to avoid!

What I understand, it is better to compile 32-bit LUA, because it will work on 32-bit and 64-bit OS

In ADDITION, it may just be a link, but I'm having trouble finding where to add the plugin on the official Adobe site. Google seaches for things like "adobe lightroom plugin" do not seem to end up where I need to be. I don't know there is a registration page, only I could not find it... probably be dumb, wouldn't be the first time...

Thank you very much for everybody takes the time to answer, and I am grateful for sharing you your experiences, I know, they are often the result of many hours of trial and error!

    See you soon

I used 32-bit "LUAC/Luhe"5.1.4 for LR 3-6, first on Windows 7 than OS X without problem.  I can't remember where I got it from.

    (b) switches/configurations, I need for maximum compatibility between both OSX and Win. Provide an update file (for all) seems best for me, if possible.

No switch; a typical call looks like:

    LUAC/LUHE o anyfilter.lrplugin/AnyFilter.lua AnyFilter.lua

    (c) any ways to maximize compatibility with older versions of LR. Obviously preferable to focus on current versions, but if it's simple enough to include older versions so why not not.

Regarding compiling, I don't know of any issue to worry about LR 3-6.

Creative modules Cloud site is here: https://creative.adobe.com/addons. ( Merchants to change these names over the years: extensions, plug-ins, snap-ins, modules,.)

However, since Adobe replaced their 'classic' with the Add-ons site Exchange, I don't know anyone here who has successfully published a true LR plugin (as opposed to presets beams) and made easy for users to download and install. You can find the experience of others in discussions in this forum.  Almost all of the widely used plugins my knowledge to avoid the Add-ons site. But if you try it and it works, thanks for posting your experience and your recipe here.

  • Issue rgd Jeffrey Export-to-Flickr Lightroom Plugin

    Hello.

I came across this plug-in in the LR2 Kelby book, thought she was a nice feature and was getting ready to install when I came across this:

"By allowing this link, you will allow Export-to-Flickr Lightroom Plugin of Jeffrey for:

    • Access to your Flickr account (including private content)
    • Download, modifyand replace the photos and videos in your account
    • Interact with photos and videos of other members (comment, add notes, bookmarks)
    • Delete pictures and videos from your account.

Is this really so? By adding this branch I'll give this Jeffrey access delete my Flickr photos?

I would really like to know before I install this thing.

    Thanks in advance,

  • Lightroom plugin for Olympus OM ORF files - D E - M5 Mark II

    Hello

I recently bought an Olympus OM - D E - M5 Mark II and apparently the 5.7 Lightroom I have does not support these files. I'm looking for a plugin or a confirmation that Lightroom 6 and/or Lightroom CC will support files. I would prefer not having to convert to DNG.

Thank you much for the help.

    Hi Mbmartin,

Yes, Lightroom 6 will support files to the camera you have.

Please see the list of the supported camera by the Lightroom version: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

Let me know if it helps.

  • I need to reinstall Lightroom plugins after updating Lightroom 5 to 6 of Lightroom?

    Hello

I use Lightroom 5.6 and have several plug-ins installed. It's filters, Nik, Photomatix, DxO Optics Pro and DxO Point of view. I would switch to Lightroom 6 or creative cloud. The new version of Lightroom would automatically recognize and treat the plugins installation or I need to reinstall one by one?

    Thank you.

    AT

When I moved from Lightroom 5 CC of Lightroom the Nik plug-ins were in place. I have a print utility provided with my printer that does not transfer automatically. But even if it was necessary was to copy the folder in the Lightroom 5 folder to the new folder Lightroom CC. I can't speak for all plug-ins because I don't use much.

  • Install a Lightroom plugin, 4

To install a plugin, I need to place it in a file ending .lrplugin. Where should I look in lightroom for this file, and what happens if I can't find such a file. Should I uninstall Lightroom and reinstall or what?

Go > file > Plugin Manager. In the plugin Manager, on the left side, click on . This will take you to the folder where are stored the plugins Lr. The name of the folder is .

You want to install your new plug-in this folder. It may be empty if it is your first plugin. Now, close the plugin Manager and close Lr.

Download the plug-in and then place it in the file through your operating system. Open again Lr. check in the plugin Manager if it is shown on the left with a green light panel. Green light means it is correctly installed and Lr recognizes.

There is no need to uninstall and reinstall Lr.

  • Lightroom plugin auto start

I am trying to write something like a plugin of statistics for Lightroom. I need the plugin so that it starts automatically without user intervention (after all I'm collecting statistics which should be an automated process). I have read the API, but I have not found a way to do it. I tried adding executable code in Info.lua but it is limited (it cannot be used to import so I can't get Lr * but only the channels). I tried to use the LrEnablePlugin, LrInitPlugin, but they are called only when manually the plugin from loading/reloading or opening the Plugin Manager. I am of ideas, unless there is a more robust way to write extensions for the basic product.

Yet, I have not found a system of events in the API. It is good to know when a photo is edited, imported, rating, etc. I think of two ways to overcome this - all first way is to intercept the functions so that they call a function defined by the first user (for example getAllPhotos to call getAllPhotosCallback first, then the original getAllPhotos) but this account on the assumption that Lightroom itself uses these functions rather than being only interface functions; the other way is to use a publication service.

Actually, the problem of auto-start is a "show-stopper". Without overcoming the whole plugin would be useless.

PS: Sorry for reposting, I already posted in the general forum Lightroom. I don't have this one exists.

    Thanks in advance,

    Marin

  • Lightroom Plugins (IntensifyPro) is no longer available in the menu "Edition in."

Suddenly my plugins are no longer available via the menu "edit in". There are still visible in the Plugin Manager. I've just updated to 6.3 LR. Someone has any idea how to get back them?

  • Text in Lightroom: plugin or PS?

    I'm opening to Lightroom transition.

At the opening, I could add text via the BorderFX plug-in.  For example here and here.

My question: Lightroom can add text as in these examples, or should I use a plug-in or Photoshop?  (And if a plug-in, any recommendations?)

    Thank you.

If you use files the module slideshow text overlay JPEG should do what you want with some restrictions on the size of the text.

PDF, GIF and BMP are not the types of files supported for Lightroom.

See here: help Lightroom | Supported file formats

However, there is a plugin available that will allow you at least these files from the catalog, it is called Anyfile: any Lightroom Plugin file

  • How to install plugins in Lightroom

I searched the Forum but could not find a proper answer to this.

I use LR 2.3 and Vista.

I tried using the plugin Manager in Lightroom by going to the file tab. When you go to the location where I have uncompressed the plugins, I always get the same result: "an error occurred when trying to load this plugin.

I also tried other solutions found in this forum, as uttering a directory called "Lightroom Plugins" in the same results photo folder.

Tried to install in the folder of module under 2.3 ProgramFiles\Adobe\Lightroom

Just as an info, I tried the following:

    ADB_Filmtypes

    Dojo_Camera_Tools

    and

    x = image + kit

I only looked at the Dojo, but those are presets, not Plugins.

In preferences, click the Presets tab. Then, click the 'Show Lightroom Presets folder' button.

Open the folder develop Presets in the window that opens. Drop off your Presets and restart Lightroom.
