  I have an audio interface, Presonus Firestudio Project, which connects via Firewire to my Lenovo SL500. On the Sl500 is Windows 7 x 86 installed. I have also 2 rudders (Akai APC20 and M-Audio UC33e), 1 Midi Interface and a kvm switch connected via USB.

  Almost everytime I make music with Cubase or Ableton Live I get holes in my audio stream. Audio playback stops just freezes for 1-10 seconds and the surface of my DAW. This becomes especially annoying when I record.

  Recently, I have disabled all devices in the BIOS except for Firewire and USB, but I am always running into the same problem. Then I got a look at the system information for Windows 7 and the saw - problems/sharing section - USB and Firewire to share the same IRQ. I'm almost certain that this is the problem causing the audio gaps.

  Is there a way to chanmge in Lenovo Sl500 BIOS IRQ settings?

  After Plug and install a USB audio interface that I borrowed from a friend, I noticed that whenever I changed my KVM switch to the surface of the other PC Ableton froze for a second. The audio stream on the other hand kept and just as it was supposed to.

  This Logitech speakers are peripheral plug n play which uses the standard driver and are installed like any other plug-and-play device. I put t have, but I have seen the interesting film on YouTube about this.

  To be honest I don t understand why it doesn't work with the Blu - ray TOSHIBA player. I think you're the first person who reported thereon.
  Problem is that Toshiba doesn't support third party software or equipment is not easy to find the solution for this.

• Vista slow KVM switching

  So, I recently took an IOGEAR 2 port USB KVM switch. I needed to swap between my work on the VPN and my regular home machine laptop. (Leaning over the desk to type on it really sucks.)

  I already had if this synergy would do the trick, but I can't use my local network while the VPN work is active (thanks for that a Cisco).

  Anyway, when I switch to the XP laptop, maybe it's nearly instantaneous, 1 second before lag as the mouse and the keyboard to respond.

  However, when I switch back to my 64 bit Vista computer after using the laptop for a few, it takes about 5 seconds for the mouse and 15 for the keyboard. If I switch back immediately (staying on the laptop for a few seconds) it takes almost a full minute for nothing to answer.

  So my question is, what can I do to fix this? Is there maybe a rate of 'search new device USB' vote I can increase somewhere?

  Mouse: Razer DeathAdder
  Keyboard: Logitech Keyboard backlit
  OS: Vista Home Premium SP2 64 bit
  (all new drivers and updates)

  Furthermore, in order to eliminate the KVM as even a possible cause of the problem, I realized the following experience:

  Disconnected the keyboard of the KVM and plugged directly into the PC again.

  Then I unplugged, waited a bit and plugged in (which is the KVM done anyway, albeit electronically).

  And here, so it took about 15 seconds for the keyboard to respond after physically by plugging it in.

  Ah, we have a winner! Indeed, it worked as it is supposed to safe mode. :)

  So, I advanced on this track and tried to run with disabled services/startup.

  So I started shrinking non-Microsoft services.

  Turns out all my sorrow was caused by this sucker:

  With JUST this service off the problem disappears.

In fact, disable this service can improve the startup of Windows, downtime and general performance. In general, if you feel that you meet any other strange behavior due to the deactivation of this service, set it to automatic and restart it. Note: On Vista, the Nvidia Display Driver Service may be a startup (as opposed to a real service) item called NvSvc in some versions of the Forceware drivers, but the same description applies. Note also that in more recent versions of Forceware you need to keep this service enabled in Vista or Windows 7 for Antialiasing or anisotropic filtering to work properly. Again, start by disabling and then reactivate it if you find any specific issues or features are not available or does not work properly.

  Many other forum posters wrote about how he doesn't do anything either. The more it is confirmed to do is hold the forced refresh rate settings.

  As far as I know, Firefox runs on all variants of Windows 7.   I have for the usb drive that you suggested, and it happened today however it does not resolve the difficulty, even if the product is satisfactory. Consults with the HP support has finally confirmed that the provided HP recovery media software does not work with Win 8.1Pro with media library.

  So, in a way, the problem is solved by default... I used successfully in place of Windows Recovery Media Creator.
