  • Link between text and images

    Hello.

In my InDesign document, I have a lot of images.

Under each image there are the names of the images; the names are from a my paragraph style.

Sometimes, in the text, compose the document, I refer in the name of the image.

Obviously, if I insert a new image into my document, change the name in the other images, but the name of the images in the text remains the same.

There is a system to directly link the names of images cited in the text with the name respectively under the pictures?

I plead for a system that can automatically update the names of the images in the text when the name of the image is changed...

    Is this possible?

    Thank you

    Joe

For "right" text with the text 'equal' across the document, you need to cross reference, another feature of InDesign.

  • How to get a link to open inside a page without the aid of images?

The customer wants outgoing links from its site to open inside its own website (and he showed me an example of a site of era of the 1990s using frames...).  Before I pick up on the ground and muster the strength to have the discussion with him, IS there a way to do this without the aid of images?

    Thank you!

What about using an IFrame to integrate the content of the page.  You can always use its header and footer - basically its own layout, but use an iframe in the main content area of the page.

  • LR5 - linking the missing photos does not work

Hello all and thanks in advance for your answers!

I have a problem with Lightroom think that pictures are missing, Lightroom is really weird and I hope that there is a way to fix...

So, let me explain my problem. I reorganized my photos stored on my computer, directly in the Finder on my Mac. When I open Lightroom after the changes, I've linked the missing images. He has worked for almost all of my photos. I have some photos in a collection (it only happens for the photos in a collection) who thinks about Lightroom is missing. But, the exclamation point is not displayed in the upper right of the box in the Library tab like other pictures that were missing. Also, when I try to find photos, Lightroom can't be able to restore the link. I just keep clicking on the location in Finder button when Lightroom told me that the photo is missing, I find the image, click ok, but nothing happens. I'm stuck because I can't edit images in this collection, but on the other hand I don't want to remove from the collection and reimport the photos because I already edited some photos and I don't want to lose the changes that I have made.

You have an idea about this problem?

Thank you very much for your invaluable help!

    Antoine

Ah, but as slightly darker gray of the record indicates that LR has no pictures of this issue - which is a 0, it is not the folder that contains the 525.

Then, right-click to 525 and choose go to folder in the library. This folder has a question mark?

Sooner or later we will get there!

  • problems with the sequence of images in v30

First of all, I'm a bit of a novice user in the teaching of science. I use this software to deliver the anatomy & Physiology TP laboratory where I take a sequence of images from several angles of an anatomy model and use the image sequence feature in InDesign to link them together so that the student can drag the picture on the iPad to rotate the image and see the issue from several angles. This worked very well with v29 and students loved it. However, with the v30, with just a light tap of the image, it quickly reverses through many images, almost randomly, after the coup. This makes all our efforts on the worthless 3D appearance. I can't use one of these rotating images now until this problem is corrected, or tell me what goes wrong. Any ideas?  To learn more about how I have this set up? It works fine when I preview the file on my laptop. This is only on the viewer Adobe iPad application (which is used in the classroom). Thank you!

  • Just send a question to the support site that I can NOT connect on my email account after auto update of 38.3.0, cannot connect to my account to check the issue!

I just posted a question on the last update automatic 38.3.0 it is possible to log into different e-mail accounts in a profile, only the first e-mail account. My support mozilla account is linked to one of the email accounts that I can NOT connect to. Can't connect to this email account to check the issue. Your last 38.3.0 Thunderbird is useless because it is no longer possible to log in different e-mail accounts in a profile, and your support solution is useless because you need to connect to the e-mail account to check the issue.
    How to proceed?

You can change your email associated with your media profile.
I have 38.3.0 and I can access all my email accounts I suggest you try the initial tests:

    Start T-bird with disabled modules.
If it works on your module is to blame and you need to activate one by one.

Start your operating system in safe mode with active network.
If it works probably your antivirus is blocking or delaying. (Or driver).

I looked at the file on the disk, and this is the case. "An example is < a href ="toc-spacing-questions-1"name ="http://www.lilypond.org/doc/v2.18/Documentation/notation-big-page#spacing-issues"> 4. Spacing problems < /a >

But the original file had links the in the same place (an expert Web site it tells me), < a href = "toc-spacing-questions-1" name = "rating-big-page #spacing - questions" > 4. Spacing problems < /a >

Not all links are changed: some of them in the body of the text are links local. What I find even more bizarre.

Why (and how) Firefox changes the HTML text?

Thanks Finitarry - but the links are changed to point to the original server, not my downloaded copy. That's the problem!

Also thank cor - el. I use "web page, complete" for download.

I think I found the problem, now that you pointed out where I should be looking. I found the original HTML code, and in most cases, the references are strictly local. But in the case of problem, the link contains the name of the file, what Firefox interprets as an application to point to the original file on the server rather than the local copy. Is this is a bug or a feature would make an interesting discussion. I'm going to ask that the web Manager is is what they meant to happen. I'll try another browser to see what happens there.
