  You cannot generate user interface components like this.

  Instead of putting af:link in your popup and bind the property to a string variable destination, for example: destination = "#{yourBean.someLink} '"

  Or, if by 'popup' you actually talk FacesMessage, then build URLs with the tag html (text link)

  (you can probably use the same approach with af:outputText but you must set escape = "false" to this topic)

• Trying to get the link in the Popup to open in image specific Parent

  I have a page with frames (enhances, mainFrame) which opens opens a window of the central computer.  Then, I would like to have a link in the open window in the mainframe of the parent page, which opened the popup, but I'm not having much luck making this happen.  Any suggestions on the best way to achieve this?

• Prevent openBrWindow to reuse the existing popup window?

  I have a page created in Dreamweaver CS3 containing several thumbnail images, each of which can be clicked to display a popup window showing a larger version of the same image. To do this, I use the command openBrWindow to Javascript.

  Example:

  If I click on the thumbnail with the first link above, it displays the pop-up properly at 640 x 480.  However, if I then click on the second link without first close existing popup, rather than open a second popup in 800 x 600, it loads in the existing pop-up - which a) keeps its 640 x 480 size and b) seems hidden behind the main window (parent).

  I was unable to find a solution which will force the browser to launch a new window popup for each link. Can anyone offer advice?

  Check to make sure the real names you; ve entered all are different.  If they are the same then it will reuse the same window that you discovered.  Or leave this completely empty value!  Without window name value it will spawn multiiple windows and not to reuse them.

  That's what I did:

  1. I created a new page in the tree (number 2 on page).

  Model of the page is 'Popup '.

  The tree SQL statement is:

  3. on the page of the tree, I added in a Hidden element page called P2_ITEM_ID. This element will be used to contain the ID of the item that needs to be filled with the value selected on the original page. There are no special settings for this element.

  4. I created an unconditional branch to page 2 to point to page 2 - not strictly necessary, but I always make sure that each page has an unconditional branch!

  5 - Finally, on page 2, I added the following in the HTML of the page header:

  This adds a link after the P4_MGR point on the page. When you click on it, this triggers the callpopup() function that creates a URL (note that I'm passing 'P4_MGR' in P2_ITEM_ID so that the popup page knows which element to update) and the display URL in a new popup window.

  I have page P1 which is based on the AM1 and VO1. P1, I have a link item that opens a page P2 as pop-up window (using the framework target = _blank). Page P2 is just reading one page where I show some details. It is based on the same AM1 and another object view VO2. In the processRequest of P2, I just run the VO2 and view records.
  
  The problem:

  Now when I close the popup window (I close with the X window button or 'Close' with javascript:window:close(); button I on P2). I'm on P1 and make changes, and then press the 'Save' P1 button that sends the form.
  
  At this point in time, the control is entered the processRequest of the base page P1 and it is at the origin of the code executed and stale data illustrated errors.
  
  So basically I know not why the obsolete data error is coming, because of the command by entering the processRequest of P1. But how to avoid is my concern.

  When you open the pop up screen, define a variable as part of the operation. Now in the page P1 processRequest, look for the value of this transaction and if it is set, donot run the initialization code. Also donot forget to reset the variable of the transaction. Hope the idea helps.

  I need a way to set the default size of the popup window on a specific area or all areas (whichever is easier). There is a particular site that pulls up a PDF in a pop-up window, and always default to a small window, but I need full screen.   I think're missing you an extension you used before. After using the Reset, a folder is created on the desktop with a name similar to "Old Firefox settings." If you open this folder, you will find a subfolder named extensions that contains your previous collection. The problem in using this as a point of reference, it is that a lot of extensions is stored in a GUID rather than their friendly name. But it could still be worth a visit, and you could Google the GUID to see if find you any matches.

  You can disable tabbed browsing in the options:
